Yup, thats cool.

chez3 2020-04-21 00:39

A frantic run between the router and the fish! I loved it, and I love the tilty walking animation.

big-chalupa 2020-04-21 02:55

Well polished and genuinely fun to play. Graphics are cool and I relay enjoy the feel of the game. The game does get a bet repetitive and the sound is a tiny bit lacking but overall very good job, you should feel proud.

takayamushi 2020-04-21 03:11

That was pretty fun! It was a bit repetitive as I ended up watching the timer pretty often to see how long was left, but overall it was a very great entry! Well done

lambdaloop 2020-04-21 04:58

Fun game! I'm curious if the people are based on the actual developers. Also, I thought the ending meta loop was clever.

jake-marks 2020-04-21 05:50

Love this kind of meta-gamejam-game. It is now canon that the blue thing is a fidget-spinner. And if I could, I'd throw it out the window! Great game.

Played on stream: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/598149787

beavergames 2020-04-21 12:08

It's amazing!. I really like these meta games because usually they're pretty realistic. I just want to know, is that blue thing a ball or like a fidget of some sort?

elesz 2020-04-21 12:10

This was great ! Took me a few seconds to realise were was everything but this was exactly what was interesting about the game ! The sequence of key to have a social interaction with the developers was such a good idear! It really felt like a game jam : Frantic, tiring and sometime desperate (LEAVE THIS BLUE THING ON THE TABLE !!!), but so much fun!

erikvdb 2020-04-21 12:26

Great little game! Fun figuring out where to get what people needed and the unique items per team member give them some personality. Not super difficult, but then again we've all been practicing juggling wants and needs over the past few days :D

ellenary 2020-04-21 12:42

This game is so cute! I had to play it twice to beat it since I didn't initially know how to fix every dev's complaint so one gave up. I thought this really fit the theme. You included a list of controls for dumb people like me! Thank you! It feels like sometimes people forget instructions. The controls are really simple to master. The colors are fantastic because I can play this game with Flux enabled at night and everything still looks great. I wish some of the objects were a little more easy to identify like the blue object. Stress ball? Not knowing what it is makes me also want to chuck it out a window since the dev kept dropping it.

helen 2020-04-21 14:28

Awesome! It's really fun to play. At first I didn't know what to do when they were upset, but then I recognized the arrows and managed it pretty good. It's cool that every developer has his own problem (like the plant or this blue thing - what is it?). Good job :)

stuembi 2020-04-21 14:35

the art style fits really well with the mood and theme of the game. i like the walk animation. the game got pretty stressfull at a time wich is so accurate lol great job!

wolfrug 2020-04-21 14:35

Nice! I like the meta-aspect of it too :-P Very cute and polished!

evgeniya-zapolnova 2020-04-21 14:36

Love this game! My favorite genre and really about that moment

petitpois 2020-04-21 14:37

Very cool game, love the pixel graphics and animations. the different tasks needed was fun and engaging.

dugas 2020-04-21 14:54

Fun game, it sure does get pretty hard after a while. The music and art is great too. Overall really good.

juanfra 2020-04-21 20:43

Awesome game, i loved the idea behind it and the fact this is the true game jam experience. Love the twist at the end. Everything is so polished, the art, the gameplay and the music (8-bit Mozart), such a great job. Keep it up.

hexa3 2020-04-22 10:11

Cool game!

reiqy 2020-04-22 16:33

Wow, this one is also great. Does it represent your team during the jam? I would play this game much longer than healthy. I love the artstyle and the animations.

pfs 2020-04-22 16:44

I love this game! Everything looks polished and the idea and humor is great :D I think I like the guy constantly dropping his blue ball thingie most.

My only remark is the movement is a bit floaty. If you make a game where the only mechanics are moving and pressing space, the movement should feel a bit better.

All in all, good job guys!

lukas-tamayo 2020-04-23 19:02

I like those little games because they are not full of bug, and they are simple little cute experience. I think the main thing to improve for next time here is just balancing. The game is really easy and very linear. Wich, depsite the generaly cool ambiance the game provide, makes the game a bit blend. But I feel unfair for pointing that out because well what could you do more ? With all the time in the world I would have maybe have some more mini games with the dev like they are tired and they have to play a mini fighter game while the other keep working ? I dunno.

It's a good game, what can I say.

lukas-tamayo 2020-04-23 19:04

Also at some point I lost the blue thingy, it never came back and it made green cap having a bad jam all along :(

Annotation 2020-04-23 210359.png

nachodlv 2020-04-23 19:12

@lukas-tamayo if you win you can continue playing and it will be harder and harder. Thanks for reporting the bug, I will look into it and thanks for the feedback it was really helpful.

lukas-tamayo 2020-04-23 19:24

For true try harders ! Thank you for the tip and your answer !

mehrdadsh 2020-04-25 14:15

Hello, i like your game, nice graphics. I'm a programmer looking for a graphic designer or a team to join and maybe work on new games, are you interested? email:m.shahiri.m@gmail.com my LudumDare Game: Social Distancing For Ladybugs

marcusnystrand 2020-04-25 22:46

This company really needs to get a new router

nachodlv 2020-04-26 00:57

@marcusnystrand we were on a tight budget while developing the game

god-colo 2020-04-26 05:49

I love the pixel art of your game! And it is frustratingly fun! The sound effects and the music fits the game! Long ago, there was a game called Hotel Jane! This game looks a lot like that but in pixel art! Thanks for bringing back good memories! Greato Jobu!

rustywolf 2020-04-26 15:22

This is a solid contender. Loved the pace of the game, the emotional challenges were on point and the specific goals gave the characters some individuality. Good work

generictoast 2020-04-26 15:22

Really cool game concept! The sprites and animations looked great too. I had a lot of fun playing it!

boxedmeatrevolution 2020-04-26 15:31

All the devs worked until the very end and delivered something!

I made it up to Overjammed 3. Very fun gameplay, and beautifully put together. This game has a lot of heart. I liked how sometimes the devs just wanted someone to talk to, and how they each had a unique "thing" that they'd get upset about. I especially thought the guy who kept dropping his blue thing was funny. And when the internet goes out and everyone freaks out in synchronicity... too real

Very polished game. I had a blast playing

fabula-rasa 2020-04-26 18:54

It's harder than it seems at first glance :). I enjoyed it, seemed nicely polished - encountered no bugs or strange stuff what so ever. The audio was very cool and graphics were pleasant.

Only the movement speed of our hero seemed somewhat too fast, was hard to stop where I wanted to at times - but I guess he should be fast if he's going to satisfy everyone :)

I have one question though - what is the blue thingy you pick up from the floor are why does the guy want it? Is it a lost pixel ;)?

nachodlv 2020-04-26 19:22

@fabula-rasa I am happy to hear you liked the game. I am the programmer so I really don't know what the blue thingy is but some players are saying that is a fidget spinner. I will let you decide. Thank you for the feedback!

lukvasando 2020-04-26 21:48

The game is so much fun to play ! I like your idea and the art is very nice too. The only complaint I have is the game difficulty. I know the game musn't be too hard for other to play, but I feel this was a bit too easy. Greatjob team !

magnanix 2020-04-27 02:10

I loved it XD! So much stress! Also, feels like this was very similar to developing during the weekend, with so many people overloading the network and the connection dropping out constantly XD.

When it said "Play the game you helped create", I was interested to see what would happen - but then the cyclical nature of it was revealed XD, making a game about making a game about making a game ad infinitum.

euforia-games 2020-04-27 15:06

Finished it to the end! Great game!!!

sharbelfs 2020-04-27 15:41

nice game, took me a little time to find about the heating system, and actually I was so busy trying to check for the needs of everyone that I didn't see when the bar of someone was too low to maybe give priority, so, I just died without really knowing why. but overall game is very fun to play

gameovermexico 2020-04-28 00:23

great game!

rojola 2020-04-28 13:20

This is how it goes! But apple is bad to your teeth, it has sugar and acid. It is impossible to keep the team together if one is willing to work in the kitchen like a slave. Everyone needs to solve their own needs! Simulates real life :) Nice quality and presentation, solid experience.

hej-medister 2020-04-28 18:00

Really fun game. The controlls are amazing, and the ending was neat. :)

spirits 2020-04-29 07:32

Very nice concept. This was an enjoyable game to play.

solah 2020-04-29 07:54

Great game!

It might be a bit frustrating when all of a sudden everybody needs something at the same time so it is near impossible to help them all.

Man, this blue stress ball had me gone crazy xD

The graphics, animations and music are great, well done!

space-nomad 2020-04-29 07:56

nice game. a fun concept, good execution. although the controls felt way too flowy and that made me a bit uncomfortable while playing. keep that in mind next time

maxathon 2020-04-29 21:38

Nice balance and mix of actions. The meta ending was cute.

Some similarities with our game this year but I love how different teams take even similar mechanics in different directions! Good work.

marvalgames 2020-04-30 02:16

SO cool. great take. looks cool. simple but frantic and solid pixel style.

fabighindaru 2020-05-01 07:30

can agree that's my routine everyday 10/10! ^^

play-pause-games 2020-05-01 19:26

really good looking and funny!

hgcummings 2020-05-02 17:03

Fun game. Nice pixel art, and the meta-story was a nice touch :)

I liked the animations on the devs, especially every time the guy lost his blue thing and had a little meltdown, or when the router died and everyone panicked.

It was also good how sometimes people just got sad and you had to talk to them to cheer them up. The variation in the mechanic here was good too.

A few more varied mechanics (other than just "press space on a thing" or "pick up a thing and take it to someone") would be a great way to extend the game post-jam.

A trilha sonora ficou divertida.

Analisis...

1 - Mechanics, Learning and Flow: You act as the assistant to a game jam group. The mechanics of production support are interesting, especially because it makes you reflect a little on the needs of those who produce (which would allow you to expand the scope of your project, in case of continuity after LD46). The interactions in general were easy to learn (except for the little blue ball, which was a little less intuitive, or I had trouble seeing). Besides, it was great (even more with simple commands and an explanation of interactions before the game session). The game really got harder as I learned (I lost once, before winning three in a row). I'm not sure (despite the impression), but it seemed that the game got harder every time I played (maybe it's just me getting tired of playing, hahahahah).

2 - Graphics, Audio and Narrative: I really liked the graphics, especially the team's choice of highlighting the objects with which it could interact. The soundtrack was fun. The sound effects were adequate (for Ludum Dare's time). There is little about narrative beyond what we already know well (a project in progress for a limited time).

3 - Culture: Our own culture (in participating in game jams, in addition to the passion for games, play-produce-play-produce). I believe that finding lovers of games like Game Dev Tycoon can be beneficial (in case of continuity and polish / development of the project).

4 - Monetization: I think the game can sell, especially if the goal is to live several jams, not just one (repeating in an eternal loop). I believe that (outside the event time), it would be interesting (if it is the goal) to focus on something like that. I believe that it would yield narrative and good game sessions (with a different penalty for defeat).

zenris 2020-05-03 08:10

Fun game, very nice art, I could use this person when I jam hehe. Liked that everyone had there own special thing.

Had a couple of bug, if you pick the blue (ball?) and then pick up a coffee or apple, the ball gets deleted and you can never get it back. Lucky this do not cause lose state, since the happy bar of the owner stops working, he also stop asking for stuff.

During the talking events you need to press the arrows twice, not sure if this is a bug or a design choice, but feels like ti should be only one press so it feels more responsive.

Last thing is not quite a bug, but thought I mentioned it anyways, you can move your character around with WASD, but you cannot to the talk events with it. I do not think about this as an bug since the game tells you to move with the arrows, but would be nice to do the talking with WASD as well.

Overall a fun game with, nice art, would like to see more levels with different layouts and object to get.

larsdu 2020-05-08 05:41

Wait so you guys have some sort of intern on your team? Jk. Funny game!

marcmagus 2020-05-11 04:00

Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for us to check out! I'm sorry I wasn't able to get to it while you were there to watch, but I was able to catch up on some of my queue, and if you'd like, you can watch the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/617517579
