LD46 — Keep it alive

Keep The Beat Alive! by Willops 2020-04-21T14:46:25Z

I'm a big sucker for rhythm games, and even using my garbage mouse that only registered the right clicks half of the time this was really really fun! The only bug I found was in the main menu, where the text was really off the screen for some reason, maybe because I'm using a 1366x768 monitor. I think the game could use a better progression system though, after a while it gets old to use the same flawless tactic of "kiting" the enemies. More variations on how they shoot and get shot would really help keep the player's interest. Like an enemy that fires a giant laser to the player's direction every 4 beats or something. Spectacular music, simple and fun art, great gameplay.

Simon DJ by JanGamesDev 2020-04-21T05:09:35Z

Really good! Scratching is really, really fun. The music tracks included are really good on their own while still leaving space for experimentation. The game hands you a good variety of tools to use and lets you go right to the fun aspect of it. Reminded me a lot of DJ Hero, a game I'm a really fan of too. Not having a VR headset didn't stop me from liking this at all.

Lights On by henriquecanella 2020-04-21T15:09:16Z

The music is way too short and, kinda pointless? It just doesn't go anywhere, if you know what I mean? The buttons to play the game are kind of confusing too, it's kinda hard to jump using the up arrow key, so normally you'd expect to jump using the spacebar, something you cannot do here. Also, why do you need a button to fix the generators? There isn't punishment to suddently stop fixing them or anything, so just do it automatically. Having to switch between using the keyboard and mouse to press the next level button is really, really annoying too. But I did like the direction the art was kind of taking, the atmosphere is insane and the "activate the power sources" objective is really simple and has a lot of potential. With more time, it can turn into a great game.

Fun game, it sure does get pretty hard after a while. The music and art is great too. Overall really good.

Can Adequately Generate Charge, C.A.G.E. for short! by Izokia 2020-04-21T04:21:38Z

This was a really fun bruh moment Except the dodgeball one, the games were fun overall! The bullets on dodgeball were just too fast and unpredictable. The alternate route was really fun too! The art is simple, right to the point, and because of that it's great. Spectacular music, but having longer loops and more tracks would fit the scope of this game way more. For a first this is great, you're completely on the right direction.
