overall great game! my only problem is a sense of progression, it would be nice to be able to by upgrades overtime, but its still a fun game!
nice graphics and mood! i would provide more tutorialzation on how to avoid the red food
love it! great audio and art! only issue is it dosent seem to adhere to the theme in an innovative way but i still love the game!
humorous little game, would suggest local coop and a larger levels to support that
pretty cool and fun concept, wish there was sound and multiple weapons (or at least i didnt know how to switch)
Really cool how the light goes with the fire, when i started i didnt know how to find more wood until i discovered that i can move the logs and use them as light, rerally cool moment
Really cool how the light goes with the fire, when i started i didnt know how to find more wood until i discovered that i can move the logs and use them as light, rerally cool moment
really good atmosphere although i dont see how it adheres to the theme, am i missing something? also really good artwork! i would suggest adding an actual combat system in sections with fights, would really up the fun factor
standard arcade-like shooter but the overall creepiness and humor in the start and end really make it cool, no reason to play it more that once as far as i can tell though
Thought it was cool to lean over and press the button, get rid of your ability to see the other melons didn't get very far as i couldn't figure out when i need to use certain things, definitely fit with the theme though!
really good looking and funny!
cool idea but definelty would take to long to finish, and maybe some special tiles? sto spice things up and add some more startegy
we really tried to add content to keep people playing together, it does have the downside of overwhelming players.
@hacktrout ive made the game a little bit easier and give the players health regen (top left shows health)
@hacktrout you can call the escort to you with right-click or pressing B, hope that helps
@marxy-37 could you describe what happened before the crash? did you try not-ultra settings? (they disable a 3-d effect that takes up CPU) it also seems that the picture dosent load
i really hope i can help
PS: some of the generators take more time to load (like facility) try playing on caves or forest
@marxy-37 error seems to be caused by laser sights, will try and fix
do you by chance have a controller plugged in?
what weapons were you using? (as lasers are based on weapons and attachments)
@defectivemelon hats were the most important thing we needed to implement XD
@dmars glad you liked it! i do agree that the reloads could be faster, but we did that with the intention of having multiple people (so they could take turns reloading). i also wish i knew more about the crashes, i do my best to fix that and have never had the game crash on me, so i think its like a pc spec issue. but im happy that you enjoyed it! and impressed you beat it solo on nightmare! mad respect that you tried all the items and content!
great fun! love the humor
It could be good but having no checkpoints, sound, or juice really takes away from it
Has a cool idea, just a bit frustrating and a little buggy, i would suggest moving the camera down a little bit, i found my self wasting oil waiting to see what was below me
hilarious, loved the idea and execution was perfect
pretty good, i really like the art style
really solid dungeon crawler, i like getting new adventurers but it seems a little underdeveloped getting them just random new characters, i also wouldn't know whether i got a key or not, but this could really be something with random generation.
really cool concept and fun to play, but it only really follows the theme in spirit, not in gameplay, still liked it though!
A relatively standard shooter but still provides a lot of fun! good art, sound, and adherence to the theme! i would add more upgrades and guns to spice things up
cool seeing how the different turrets get used, but overall doesnt do much "new" with the theme, its like a psudo endless running, your trying to keep yourself alive, and not in a unique way, but i like it nonethless
it seems like a cool concept, but it definitely needs some kind of tutorial, and it was annoying that the things to type of just random strings of letter, not actual words, which made the typing a lot more tedious
An okay endless shooter, my only gripe about the game is that i cant see my bullets, but with more content and polish it would really be great.
Pretty neat! i do wish there was more depth to the gameplay, and it doesn't seem to fit the theme that much, but it was pretty entertaining if a bit lonely. very cool, could become a great .io game with audio and more depth
Very cool! although most of the puzzles felt more like a bunch of versions of the stairwell puzzle from antichamber, I think you could have done some stuff like the looping doors moving around or being rotated, but other than that it felt very surreal and cool!
I really like the take on the theme! i do wish there was more content, maybe some more physics-y controls, but its very creative!
Pretty fun to play, but i dont think it brought many new mechanics, the ones that are in the game are very clever though, like using the turret to bounce astronauts, but nothing really made me think about the stuck in the loop theme, very fun but could use some more crazy idea.
very cool looking and polished! i do think it could use some better level design as the mechanics feel as though they are thrown at you, ex on the second area i couldn't quite figure out why i was being sent to the start as i was focusing so much on getting the doors to open
@dmitry-mozgin you use guns to fight enemies, if you don't encounter any enemies please le me know it may be a bug. also the enemies include the blue and orange things, and the ghosty shadow things
@indiedevdan it can occasionally happen if an enemy cant find a good path to you and they are on the other side of a wall, but dont worry if you die its the whole point of the game!
@dmitry-mozgin could you send a screenshot? i want to see if i can fix it, and make sure you are not hitting continue, it will cause loading errors
@dmitry-mozgin i figured it out, pressing continue on the menu without save data breaks the game, it used to not, but i had to remove the check that stops it due to a bug, let me know how the game is after solving it!
@anchorlight Thanks for taking the time to write the review! I did want to add more depth to the gunplay, like reloading and ads, and i probably could have done so easily, but I did want to focus more on atmosphere, i spent quite some time making the guns feel "weighty" as you move around. i dont know what caused an enemy to be inside a wall, i do know that the particles can clip through walls, but i have never found an enemy inside a wall. I very glad you enjoyed the loop and ammo system! i tried to make sure you never had to many bullets. i do know how to fix the steamVR issue (ill do that in a bit) and i do agree that the game could really use some combat tunes, ill take all your ideas in mind for the next build/
@squeed-fingars glad you checked it out! i do know that having a lower framerate will really ruin the game, it takes out the smoothness and atmosphere of it all, and definitely makes navigation harder. but from playtesting i can say that the levels should be fine, and the core entrance is supposed to be so deadly, its normally supposed to be a one time forced kill, that way players remember it for later. but im glad you play it all! especially through such bad framerates, ill see what i can do to improve it for others who have a similar issue
@captaindreamcast glad you checked it out! im glad you liked the lore too!
@island-jam-2-group-3 enemies can actually open doors! you got real lucky that run! also the core card is on a desk in kenneth's office in one of the security areas. thanks for playing!
@eugenik the goal is to stop the collapse (find the core card and shut doen the core) i do not know why you are not hearing any music, there is some at the start of a run but it goes away when it finishes
Took me some time to get the joke lmao, could do with some more humor sprinkled in the dialog and maybe more characters and a more interesting environment, but its very clever
This game is really cool! i like that the puzzles make creatives use of the looping idea! i really wish there were sounds, and the mechanics aren't really introduced well, but overall with some extra level design and audio this could be a real game!
Very cool! i love these sort of defend the house top of games! it may not be super polished. but this game is super interesting, with some better graphics and sound you could release this as a full game!
very good! I really like the art style and it was very clever, well done!
Very cool and interesting! i also like the take on the theme! using a funky control scheme does lead to a lot of confusion, but if the game were easier to control it could be really easy. i also like the introduction of new circles and the like. Good job!
