The game idea sounds interesting but feels too big for such a short period implement. Voice acting is pretty impressive) I'm stuck after the third task.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD47 → Dynamics Corporation

TASK KOMPLEET!
Ah overscoping, the staple of ldjams since the very beginning :stuck_out_tongue: Still if you ask me this is in far more playable shape than some of the other stuff I've tried looking at. The voices and "story" is pretty well set up, even if it drags a little at the start. I think the extra explanation time would be justified for a more complicated task (and having it run during a simpler one to keep the player occupied), but there's only so much you can do in a jam.
Hey Oleksandr and Moff, I really appreciate you taking the time to play and review my game! I completely agree with all the comments especially in regards to being over scoped. The actual story and dialogue wasn't added until the very end and was pretty much made up on the spot lol so it definitely was longer than needed to be. Anyways, thanks again!
I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection
What is this supposed to mean, regular PC? You can make a windows-only game without being all smug about it, but you took the effort to edit it?
Blubberquark. When I saw the 30+ options for what platform to choose I wasn't sure if I selected the correct option so I added that description. No smugness intended what so ever :/ I'm not sure why you would automatically assume that tone but I'll change it
Edit: I've tried editing the description multiple times now but it's not saving so I don't know what to do
Hahaha. Respect for recording your voice! It was actually in the mood! And I liked the Debug mode
Nice record voice xD, MINIMAL AND BEAUTIFUL!
I stacked the boxes and escaped my robot servitude, nice demo thing
The boxes I had to sort didn't appear. So I made jumps on purpose, triggering errors, to exit this situation. I was sent back to the beginning of the game... Sorry guys, but the intro was too long for me to go through it again.
That being said, the voice acting is pretty amazing!
Thank you everyone for trying out my game! Glad my voice acting worked out ahaha XD
@lazenman Wow congrats!! I wasn't sure if anyone would actually manage to make it that far/ figure it out! Well done!
@corentin-benoit-gonin Thank you for trying it out anyways! I'm really sorry it ended up breaking on you. I encountered a few times where transitioning between tasks broke, but couldn't figure out why. The intro is definitely too long and I wish I had shortened it a bit, definitely needs a skip button :p
awesome voice acting, but kind of annoying restarting the game and go though the intron again
Hi all right, I want to reinforce that I really liked your game, I played it, and even followed the development on your twitch, I really like UE4, mainly for architecture and I have already developed some things in it, the observation I have to make in your game is remember that a game has to be universal that it must easily communicate with those who already have experience and especially for those who do not have the same skill, a factor that made it difficult to understand is that it has no subtitles, and the auditory part is fundamental for understand the game, and reading the instructions would be easier, congratulations again for your game, I follow you there on twitch a big hug!
@aless Thank you :) Haha, yea I realize the intro is waaay too long and needs to be cut drastically, or at least be skippable. Thank you for trying it out.
Hey @etrealjunior, thank you. I really do appreciate you coming back to try it out and leaving some good feedback. You bring up some good points about solely relying on audio to understand the game, something I didn't think about. One of the reasons my intro was super lengthy was to help those who are new to gaming understand what they need to do. One of my parents isn't a gamer at all, and I knew they were going to try it out. That being said, it still could have been better implemented had I spent more time on it as well as having text based instructions. I'm really glad you liked it and happy to hear you're following me on Twitch :) If you catch me live definitely say hello
Really liked this, the intro kind of carries on for a little bit, and on the first task I couldn't move and it made it a bit hard, but apart from that I really enjoyed the game, and the narration was fun, and added a lot to the experience
Voice acting was great, intro goes on a bit but bearable as the humor was there.
The intro was a bit long, but I got some Portals vibes, the voice acting is really great!
The boxes I had to sort didn’t appear for me either, I gave up when I had to go through the intro again. Would be cool to skip it when you restart :)
@ladmiester @atlantian @flazone Thank you for trying it out! I'm happy you all enjoyed the voice acting and I'm sorry for the game breaking bugs :(
I liked the humor and tone in the narration. It was a bit hard to hear everything all the time since the voice levels were mastered quite a lot lower than the other sounds. They could have spoken directly into robots brain instead of via speakers as an expanation for not using localized sound. I didn't so much mind the pace of the game, but on day two while still in the charge pod thing I jumped before the first task of the day and that said task completed and then I was stuck in pod while expected to do sorting task or something without the ability to move. That I was frozen first day before released and got powered down while charging felt like it fit with the world and story, but that I couldn't move at all times during the days did feel wrong. Nice entry though.
Great idea, not easy to develop, but you did well. Also good acting for the voice.
Well done. Voice acting was very laughable. Maybe too long, but it creates a good mood. The way you managed the theme is unusual and good. Clever and eficient. I had fun playing. Thank you ++
@acaral @geckoo1337 Thank you for trying it out! Really glad you enjoyed the voice acting and project idea. I tried not to go with the standard 'loop' theme and attempted to make something unique :) Will definitely need to shorten the intro, or at least make it skippable lol.
@local-minimum Thank you for trying it out! I'm glad you enjoyed the narration. I had thought about having the voice internalized within the players mind, but for whatever reason I didn't go that route. Something to think about though. There are plenty of bugs in the game I wasn't able to fix unfortunately. Having more freedom after day one is also a good suggestion, thank you!
very good! I really like the art style and it was very clever, well done!
Got stuck before doing the first task, a bug didn't allow me either to move nor interact with anything. So long intro to play it again being stopped there. I guess the voice is cool but as I couldn't play at all I can't much good things. Sorry!
Nice game!
I liked the intro a lot, it felt very natural, I didn't mind it being long. Though it would be nice to be able to skip it after your hard drive gets reset.
I wouldn't figure out that you can climb the boxes if not for @lazenman's comment. Really nice, I love how much work you put into the surrounding area, how vast it is, even though we only get to see it at the very end.
I think the UI could be smaller, it takes half of the screen, which hurts the experience a bit.

Thank you all for trying it out! I'm sorry you got stuck due to the bug @ivan-perez :(
@theogen I'm so glad you enjoyed the game and that you made it to the end! 10 Days, props to you for making it that far! Great points about the UIO and ability to jump on boxes. I'll need to make it more clear that you can jump on boxes but without giving too many hints as to what the end goal is.
