really cool concept and fun to play, but it only really follows the theme in spirit, not in gameplay, still liked it though!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD46 → Keep IT Alive

I can't rate you on graphics?? Even though you didn't make the assets there is still some good design happening there!
It's a pretty fun game, though a lot of the mechanics worked against each other: the BSOD :frowning: , cooldowns on the shop/adminpedia (AND the phone?). I think if the cooldown mechanics were replaced or expanded on this could be a complete game!
A very interesting look at Sys-Admin job. Nice visuals, but blue screened computer is really too annoying.
I enjoy this more literal(?) take on the theme.
Nice game, concept is clear and sounds are helpful to understand :) Maybe more positive feedback when you succeed would be great to understand that you made the right action
soooo great the idea, the concept, everything... - and it's soooo ~~true~~ realistic XD already played a few games - but i think this will be my favourite :D
This game is instant stressful! You did a good job with the theme! Very innovative!
The BDOS was a really nice idea! I loved that the game gets so stressfull. It really helps with immersion. Good game overall, awesome idea! I am not sure though if the coffee machine does anything?
@diminok Yeah, coffee machine is totally lacking feedback whatsoever - it simply speeds up time and helps with combos/angry tasks.
Well done, I had a good time playing this, but it's easier than in real life ;) Graphics are goods, sounds set up the ambiance and the stress is here. I just not really understood how to stop the BSOD, spamming left button does the trick ? Anyway, very good job, starting from the title/theme interpretation
Thanks for the feedback everyone!
@qux BSOD: Yes - excuse the pun, but *RTFM* aka it is mentioned in "How To Play?"
Okay, that was a very stressful experience :D Took me a minute to understand, what I had to do. The core gameplay was very simple, what interesting enough to keep me busy for a few minutus. The sound effects were a bit annoying at times (especially the bluescreen one, had to turn down my audio). The art was very nicely stylized. GOod job an that front!
Nice, I like it, played it several times and got a high score of 1710. I like the multitasking and the little jokes everywhere. I enjoyed playing it also with the stress :) the only thing I didn't like is that I didn't have the feeling I could do anything to keep IT longer alive, I had the feeling time is fixed. I think in the end I optimized pretty much but the game still ended after a fixed time (at least in my feeling).
@leeloo Glad to hear you enjoyed it
We did plan to include an "endless" mode with some kind of life restriction but we couldn't decide on the details in time, so the time limitation stayed in place.
Hahaha, the idea to take the "IT" in the theme is great. The game is nice, it's fun and easy to understand; just as hard as it needs to be; and the graphics and sounds/music are quite nice. Great job !
Very nice take on the theme! I like the gameplay, and feel. Managed to score 1350, woohoo :raised_hands: The BSOD completly destroyed my eardrums, though. Might be nice to turn it down, or advise people against headphones, or telling us to turn the volume down.
What a needy boss!
@jmad Thanks for the feedback! You're not the first to mention this, so we tuned down the volume here and there.
Nice little management game. I got a little irritated by my lack of agency when trying to fix two things at once. Maybe make a way to speed up the meters recharging, like clicking rapidly. Art was nice, although the perspective didn't entirely make sense.
Got a kick of this. Nice little multitasker. Loved the sfx. Blue screen was a great touch. Made the frustration of office work enjoyable somehow haha. Good job!
Ho my god what a stressful life! I can't take the calls from my boss anymore, it is too much... Help...
Good and funny execution tho!
someone should fire that boss, keeps the line busy a lot wich reduces customer satisfaction! Fun little entry, not much to say really, felt solid and well put together, maybe get 1 or 2 more sounds for the different pop-ups so it feels a bit more diverse.
This is really good entry! I enjoyed the game. Well done!
I kept IT alive! Screenshot_2.jpg
Cool interpretation of the theme (although I did play one more game this jam that did that as well :), hoooray for IT). Graphics were pleasant, if simple and the soundscape fit in very nicely. Gameplay was engaging enough and kept my interest. Didn't notice any bugs. Well done!
At first it was really difficult for me to manage all the tasks but after some tries I got the hang of it. I really like multitasking challenge games!
Is there a way to not die in the end? I managed to satisfy all customer wishes but the game still ended at the end of my workday - that felt a bit disappointing
Overall I really enjoyed playing your game. Thanks for your entry
Really cool idea to interpret the topic in this way. I guess, it's also a theme, most other participants of ldjam can relate to :)
Kudos to all of you here for giving it a shot and all your feedback. Just really encouraging! We will definitely be back next year!
@fatpenguin thanks for giving it a shot. We managed to do just one level in the time we had, unfortunately. So you do not die but "get the ultimate chance" to beat yourself over and over again with the highscore made in that one level that it is  :v:
