I like the concept and the art of this game a lot, the game is very simple and that is a good thing, but eventually it wares off. But all in all, its a great game.

mon9rch 2020-04-21 02:15

Like the retro vibe of the game. Very cool!

petrifiedapple 2020-04-21 02:15

Pretty fun, with potential for more. Wounded soldiers are frequently spawned on inaccessible locations, which makes for some unintentional humor. The art is very sweet

finntastico 2020-04-21 02:19

I like the style, especially of the buildings :) Love the idea for the theme as well. Felt a bit frustrated about moving so slowly ;)

nicolas-kroupensky 2020-04-21 02:20

Really like how you move forward with the bullets. Only thing I think is lacking is a little sound to the bullets, cause it doesn't really feel like you are in a battlefield. Everything else is really cool!

kisu 2020-04-21 02:29

Nice concept! I found one bug where after I rescued 8 people I was sort of stuck on the left side of the screen and could only move right by a tiny bit before I seemed to hit an invisible wall

euix 2020-04-21 02:30

The retro vibe is nice! You can make the game much easier by running to the right of the bullet spawn, and you're able to run offscreen.

teebaron 2020-04-21 02:36

I love the game art. It looks just great. Some sort of dash would be nice. But the collision with the objects is not solved well :) All in all a nice little game

billnotic 2020-04-21 02:47

I like the pixel art, but the different pixel sizes is kinda jarring. Also, the screen moves along at snail speed and bullets don't feel like bullets because of how slow they move. Fits the theme great, and is nice and simple.

rein 2020-04-21 02:58

I absolutely love the art. The gameplay is solid and the audio really completes the retro feel. Excellent work.

chromaphase 2020-04-21 04:52

looks coo, sega master system vibe here ! Please make the enemies visible and gunning around, would be so fun !

cammy 2020-04-21 06:29

pretty fun, i ended up running into some kind of invisible wall where i can't move right anymore

kupnu4 2020-04-21 06:29

The art is great! And audio matches really well. In general the game is funny and very well made! Good job!

ironygames 2020-04-21 06:44

Very retro! It's cool to find a scrolling schmup where you actually do something other than shoot.

The game would have benefited from some feedback as the crosses appeard (sorta like a "ding"). Also I feel the healing could just start as long as you're close enough, as that's your only purpose anyway.

a-dot 2020-04-21 11:21

I often play the healer, this game doesn't disappoint me. Good game, fun concept with potential.

When the player reach the left screen border there is no game over, the auto scroll continue. It's seems to be a bug.

janmatyoostudio 2020-04-21 11:45

Good work on implementing the theme! Keeping both yourself alive and the soldiers is nicely done. The pixel are is good, and I can jam all day to the music!

daniel-moreno 2020-04-23 19:36

Nice concept you got here. Some soldiers spawn where I can't reach them. I really like the art style, but you're mixing different pixel dimensions/density (some pixels are bigger than others) and that can be seen as a little bit ugly, but maybe I'm just the one bothered by that, haha. Music sets the tone and is quite good!

Good job overall.

whiteseraph 2020-04-26 14:49

Graphics and audio are well done. Gameplay could use a little extra, but the concept is simple and easy to pickup(so many LD games have way too complex systems). I ran into a bug where I was able to run outside of the map to the left side, and could never return again but the game just continued.

super-hadoken 2020-04-26 14:53

My medic got stuck behind a crate and dragged off screen but the game wouldn't register it so the game didn't end. The bullets were quite difficult to dodge, perhaps more emphasis on the shelling and fewer bullets. Random firing pattern for the bullets would work better too. Nice graphics, nice game.

elektropapst 2020-04-26 14:58

Great side-scroller with very appealing graphics and a really nice concept. Good job

skvader-418 2020-04-26 15:00

really fun, had a great time with it, predictable bullet movement, although i tought that artilery poses no danger, sprites look great, music i descent, im a little sad that there are no gunshot sfx, all in all a really fun and good game

dextreon 2020-04-27 07:59

I really liked it, sound and visuals are nice. It was a bit monotonous after a while, it lacks of variation a bit, but overall it is a great job, congrats! :ok_hand:

madewink 2020-04-27 11:41

Nice game. I feel something went the unintended way while I was playing, since on my second attempt I was stuck on a small portion of the screen, where I had almost no time to heal any soldier, and was completely out of range from the gunshots... I could not save all soldiers, but I just could not die, so the game was infinite.

n-o-games 2020-04-28 17:08

This was quite fun and interesting I just think it missed that bit of polish. Like more feedback when rescuing someone. I also feel the game should change as you save more people. just to make it feel like you're making an impact. Great entry!

nsadie 2020-04-29 18:14

Nice retro entry! Clever use of the theme and good art.

I got stuck on the left side of the screen on one run and couldn't die or move.

oldetobeh 2020-04-30 01:31

Really fun use of the theme. I could see this game polished with a few more mechanics would be a TON of fun. I enjoyed it!

almax 2020-04-30 01:36

Cool idea and thematically well executed, but the collision was unpredictable and buggy, and the bullets came from a point inset to the right of the screen, so I could walk in front of them and not take any damage at all (fullscreen 16:9).

dvdfu 2020-04-30 18:45

I found that I could walk far right (past the bullet spawn), and the game actually ended immediately because I might have hit an explosion. Regardless, the presentation is lovely! Also, a good interpretation of the theme.

nova31 2020-04-30 19:45

Good game but I often for me E don't work.

happy-fish-gaming-co 2020-04-30 20:05

I kept going off screen ahead of the bullets, but other than that I saved many lives. I'm Patton you on your back.

ondrasej 2020-04-30 20:06

I like the idea and the concept. The visuals are really nicely done (and the music and sounds fits the game well).

My main issue were controls + gameplay, where I ended up stuck to the left side of the screen, and never could move more to the right. So with most soldiers, I ended healing them when they were outside of the screen, and stopped playing when I got stuck behind a building, away from the screen with no way to get back (and with the game silently ignoring this situation). If this was fixed along with some polishing of movement speeds, this could be a great game.

iamscissors 2020-05-01 04:31

I really liked the art and gameplay! The tension of being forced to move right and dodging the bullets before ducking for cover to heal someone was really good! I eventually got too close to the left of the screen and somehow got glitched. I couldnt move and couldnt get hurt and was just being slowly pushed right. One small note on the art: it was a little weird because you mixed resolutions, but overall the style and each individual graphic was good.

mika-la-grand 2020-05-01 21:15

The art and music are great, but I would like some more gameplay. Maybe the difficulty can increase over time and there can be a highscore system. Another aspect could be dragging them to safety and then healing them. There was also nothing shooting the bullets; they appear out of thin air. At the end, the game mentioned that I had saved 10 people and sacrificed 3. I saved everyone except for the peopel that died in explosions, so I didn't really sacrifice them on purpose.

anagf 2020-05-03 00:37

That was funny, its pixel-art is on point and the music is epic. Overall, a well-developed game. It felt a bit strange after playing for a while because suddendly my medic began to run slower, but the rest was nice.

thatothernerd 2020-05-03 00:46

I loved playing this!

guy-without-id 2020-05-03 14:28

Thanks for this nice game. Graphics and sounds look like a finished game. Gameplay feels great for first levels of the game. It would be better to add more variety to the speed of gun rotation. I didn't get the idea of calling other soldiers and sacrificing them. Maybe i missed some explanation. As during play I had feeling that they are useless and there is no sense to pick up the radio set. Anyway, Good work!

loveapplegames 2020-05-03 14:42

Cute "commando" style game! Nice idea to dash from cover to cover to survive. I think it can be improved with a bit more polish here and there. I found it very difficult to avoid the bullets when there is no cover available, and the soldiers covering me didn't seem to help, because they were not in front of me but above me (maybe this is a bug?). Having to stay with a soldier for several seconds to heal him seems kind of pointless, as you're almost always under cover when healing them. A "pain" animation for the player would help, and some nice sound and animation when you heal a soldier would have been more satisfying. The bullets popping up in the middle of nowhere gives an unfinished impression, as do the "cover" soldiers that float all over the place when they come towards you.

theblackfrog 2020-05-06 18:58

Pretty sweet, very old school :). Simple and effective, the way I like it.

adam-clayden 2020-05-09 17:55

Audio and graphics are pretty cool! I felt that the bullets were a little too difficult to predict and also quite hard to see. But I liked the concept of running into battle and saving soldiers. Good job!
