The platonic ideal of a compo game.

Nice twist on the classic 2d golf mechanic. The camera still has some hiccoughs to work out and the connection to the theme is slightly strenuous. The music and sound was very good.
First of all, hat off to the legends who made a jam game in prolog. The occasional burst of music can be a bit shocking but was never unwelcome. The splotch graphics are a tad off, maybe this game would have worked better with only the text? I love the writing of this. Theme-wise it is one of the canonical ideas for this jam but the best rendition of that idea that I have seen yet. Great job!
Very interesting idea and take on the theme. Sadly, the original graphics make it a tad hard to play...
Interesting take on the theme! The art style isn't much to look at but I think it works well as a sort of "crappy ms-paint" aesthetic. It took me a bit to figure out you could click to shoot but after that I had a lot of fun. As @nick-rafalski said, the knockback really gave the combat the additional dimension of who to shoot to get some space. Sadly, it did crash on me once I really got into it and glitched into a wall on spawn. The game could have been improved even further with sfx and music. Overall, great job!
This game seems very atmospheric, unfortunately I couldn't make it past the room where I think you are supposed to pick up the colors... At that point, the movement controls broke and I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do. Might need some bug fixing but definitely looks promising!
Fun little time waster, super impressive for just 4 hours. It does suffer from the usual unity-webgl-related lag on some machines (haven't we all been there...) but I can't fault you for that. You were right, we did have pretty much the same idea. I like the multiplayer mechanics in the postLD version as well!
The whole mental health / trauma angle is a super interesting take on the theme! The graphics, while simplistic, are perfect for the vibe you seem to be going for. Well done! My only gripe is that it took me a while to figure out what to remember and what not to (though perhaps that's the very point).
This take on the theme was something I considered as well at the start. You, however, maked it work. Kudos!
Interesting idea, but it has a few issues. The physics is a bit buggy (jackhammering near a wall flings you away from it). The sounds are fine but I think the visuals could be helped enormously with a more soothing color palette. Still, nice work!
Usually, the kind of games you see at game jams are small gameplay experiments. This is a great narrative experience and the use of deepdeam images is very creative. I love the music and little sound effects too!
While the connection to the theme is not the strongest, this game had me chuckling at a few points from the goofy death animation. The music is very repetitive, perhaps without the time to commit to a longer or more varied sound track this project may have been better served by no music at all. Overall, good job on your first jam!
@wall-jump-games Thanks. That was my exact worry when i got to the final stages of this project. I cut back the scope a bit and this was left. Well, something to note for next time :/
@secretcrab thanks, I don't know what downwell is, so probably a coincidence there. This is probably more or less the canonical take on the game. I already thought a bit about how to make this work well as a mobile game. Perhaps I could make the horizontal control work by gyro and the shooting by tapping. I think I made the shotgun a bit op
