Im writting this while I wait to the sunrise. The core game loops works but it is too slow an too grindy. All the upgrades are focused on getting resources easily but half of it waste to much to be worth it. They look really cool on the lizard though XD.
And I am out of wood, there are no trees left. I wanted to know where the games goes but I don't have the patience for replaying it again :(
Can you win in this game? Im missing an ending, maybe Im just bad XD
As a first game jam you can be proud, the movement, althought basic, works.
There is a lot of room for improvements though. A tutorial that is not a text wall would be a good start point.
Good idea and nice aesthetic but It's too easy. I reached over 100 points and it was still very easy. An increase in difficulty will greatly improve it.

I am one of those people who likes this kind of game and of course I like this one too. I spent over an hour trying to beat it and I give up.
My biggest complaints are the camera and click detection. I like this micro and macro gameplay but the control its too annoying. The range stuff is not clear enough. And when you have too many stuff in America is hard to manage, not for the difficulty of the game, but for this annoyances.
Some work on a better UI would be nice but I like how you have to discover the information by yourself. (Like noticing where it say what building do what)
I would love to see a bigger game with this kind of gameloop.
A fun simple idea.
The difficulty spikes too fast though. And the bagel generation seems pure randomness, sometimes it insta appear and other times there is none.
Also the fact that you can't collect all the veggies in the bonus stage feels bad D:
