Cool!
Got stucked in the big ramp :( A reset switch would be a nice adition to the game :D Great work for your first jam, take care, these events are addictive :D
I like the art, and the fact that you put the time in to actually implement a settings and controls menu. Not something I've seen in a lot of Jam games (including my own). The controls feel a little sluggish, which makes some parts a bit tedious as it takes so long to get from point A to point B. But overall fairly polished
Out of curiosity, how did you get the final exported executable to not be considered a virus by windows security? No matter how I try to export projects out of Godot, Windows keeps flagging the exe's as potential viruses
It was fun, I enjoyed it. Though I think I'm not a good delivery guy...
@rzfmzn Thanks! You can actually hold R for 3 seconds and it'll reset you back to your last checkpoint. :v:
I really like this idea, but there are a few things would work on. First of all, I almost quit because of the last level. I spent like 10 minutes on it or something, but I pushed through and did it. I would also like the controls to feel more responsive, it was very hard to control the ball and not make it explode.
@littlebeardman Thanks a lot for the fantastic feedback! I agree with you about the controls, I could'nt get them exactly how I wanted. As for the virus thing I'm not sure how windows decides it because my partner's PC considered it a virus as usual. It's strange.
Nice game. It's just (sometimes) a bit long to wait for platforms to come.
@mateu Thank you for your feedback :) I do wish the controls felt better. Congrats for managing to finish though!
I almost got to the end but couldn't figure out how to get past that last part with the boosts :P Once you are above a certain speed, you begin to destabilize, right? The exact mechanism took me a while to figure out. I really liked the art, especially the particle and explosion effects!
congratulations on finishing your first jam! Its really aestetics-satisfying one, graphics and sound are just awesome!
@thewustache Correct! Basically as you go faster, you get hotter and eventually explode
Congratz on your first LD, nice job!
My bomb rolling skills are truly impeccable and I only died 24 times!
Interesting, challenging and fun mechanic. Great job :D
OH MAN THAT WAS HARD. I beat it! That was fun! It maybe felt a little too sensitive when it came to collisions, but otherwise it was great!
@swen Thank you! Congrats on getting to the end!
@supergamersgames Haha I'm glad you had fun, well done completing it! It definitely is very sensitive, pretty *unstable* I guess you could say
Nice job! Really liked the art and the way you generated the terrain =D (godot smartshape2D ?)
@henriquecanella Thank you! Yes you can get the plugin on the Godot asset library
Very charming art direction. The gameplay can be frustrating at times, but overall I can get behind it. Nice game.
Nice game, love the art. The background especially was pretty cool
I LOVED it! Played it to the end. Great graphics, audio and animation. Very creative level building too.
Dig the vibe and concept! Overall it felt like a puzzle game, which wasn't immediately obvious from the aesthetic. Is the music procedural?
patience is key
@masterproject Thanks! :D
@rustywolf Thank you! For the background I just used the dither gradient tool in Aseprite
@rayredd I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks, it was my first real time level building
@cottontshirtz Thanks! I hadn't really considered how puzzle-like it is, but I agree with you. The music isn't procedural but that's a cool idea
@gingerningerish Very true :wink:
This game is STRESSFUL, but in a good way. This feels like a great mix of an arcadey feel and more modern bite-sized games. A jam game that makes you think is a good jam game! Very well done.
cool little game! Really loving the visuals & its super impressive you made this in such a short time :D Amazing
@megamasterx Thank you!! I agree that it's stressful haha
@becky-rayner Thank you very much!
I only died 16 times! That's good probably!
I actually didn't find it stressful at all, maybe that goes against the intention but I found it kind of cathartic :D Was fun to figure out the logic of the overheating and even though I still probably don't exactly understand all the factors that contribute to overheating, I was able to avoid it instinctively. very satisfying. I think I will probably come back to see what scores other people are getting. Was there a timer for speedruns? I can't remember.
@brotherst 16 deaths is actually good! Thank you very much I'm glad you enjoyed playing!! Regretfully I didn't add a timer although if I expand on the game after LD then I'll be sure to implement it.
Very fun game with intuitive rules and control, I got stuck right before the long ramp with a lot of boosters (I got stuck behind the boosters)
@anstabo Glad you had fun! :v:

In case anyone is wondering, yes it is possible
A beautiful looking game, but unfortunately I'm just too crap haha. I would have liked the payload to be just a little bit more resilient. It feels a bit too difficult. Good work on submitting to your first jam!
@ollieoa Sorry you found it a bit too difficult but thank you!
Nice game, too hard sometimes. I don't understand rules fully, guess it overheats just by rolling even when not driving actively, so I blew up 50 times in wind tunnel. Almost beat it, but cant handle last part. Fun game anyway, with nice graphics. AASUntitled.png
Hey there! As @gdman mentioned, sometimes it was too hard but it wasn't that obvious why i died. E.g. the cargo was cool, i've jumped a little and bumped into a wall with low speed and died. The minicopter that are shooting at you are quite hard, because if you are in the bottom of the v-shaped line, you are definetly in trouble  But nevertheless nice pixel art and polishing in that amount of time! Looking forward to more games made by you in Godot!
For your first game it's really amazing. I think it's the best game I played out of 10 today. Great job. I like the mood and the graphics. In my opinion I think it should be easier and more forgiving. Just moving a little bit forward isn't that rewarding. I think if you could gain a good momentum and keep that in some sense that would feel a lot better. Again great job :)
@gdman @marin0104 Aye, the communication of the heat level to the play could be vastly improved. I didn't wan't to use any in-game UI so that's why I opted to use the colour changing and beeps. I have been practicing my pixel art skills recently so thanks! :D
@dev-dennis Thank you! I agree somewhat about the difficulty. I wanted it to be challenging, but I see now that having to move slowly can be frustrating to a lot of players since they just wanna get on with the game.
Also, the bit where you fall down the tunnel is pretty dodgy, I definitely made it too sensitive to explode from bumps.
Congratulations on your first ever entry!
The art was neat. I liked the dithering in the background, and the subtle particle effects worked quite well.
Sadly, I didn't find the game itself fun. Maybe I just don't have the necessary patience, but I also feel like the game didn't give me the information I needed. The changing color of the orb helped a little bit, but I didn't have enough control over my speed, especially when on ramps, to make use of this information, especially when it's possible to go from fine to dead very quickly.
It was also very counter-intuitive that the solution to the large ramp with alternating hot/cold zones was to move _slowly_ through the fire. This would have also been easier to work out if the game gave more information about the relative temperatures of various things.
Nevertheless, I still think the idea has promise, and just adding something simple like a UI overlay showing a heat gauge (or better yet, something more subtle that tied into the game world... maybe a gauge around the orb that filled up?) might have been enough for me to really enjoy it.
I also feel like I should point out that the game is likely unplayable for people with certain kinds of color-blindness.
Still, this is a great effort considering the harsh time constraints of the compo.
Fun game! I like the concept, it runs smooth and it looks good. I managed finish it, and I died only 37 times. ;) It was nice to see the different obstacles you came up with. The one thing I fuond a bit annoying was that the minicopters can shout outside their gray cone. But other than that, congrats on a very good first Ludum Dare entry!
Sadly, my browser was a little hitchy, causing some extra instability making this a bit more difficult than it was designed to be. Still a great first entry!
Awesome game! The physics gameplay is very interesting, figuring out how to handle the core in the levels was done very well, really nice level design! Solid entry! (And thank you for that last checkpoint haha)
Great game! The level presents varied and interesting challenges. Waiting for and staying on the moving platforms was a little frustrating. It would help if there was something like a "stability bar", showing how close you are to detonation. As it is now, it's often a guess what makes you detonate.
