It's a really cool game, good job! The one bug I encountered was that at some point one of the platforms just fell down and never reappeared, so I couldn't progress.

The graphics and music are awesome, and I like how unintrusive the tutorial messages are. A solid entry that could be a very fun game with additional polish.

bassguitarbill 2021-10-06 20:32

I like the art style, and especially the animations.

bora-cun 2021-10-06 20:34

Especially the artwork and animation are superb considering this is a jam game. Good job

devundead 2021-10-06 20:34

Nice game! The graphics and music are matching great. I like the puzzles of the game. Had some flickering in the tiles on the game and some times got into a falling animation on the edge of a plattform. But overall a great job!

kyrell 2021-10-06 20:36

Don't see too many games that use this setting, cool idea!

bqq 2021-10-06 20:37

Really good tutorial section! The pacing of introducing concepts was great and the slow revealing of text in the environment was fantastic. The last puzzle kept me stumped for a long time :D If you were going to expand the game at some point I'd recommend removing the platforms from the left side of that puzzle so they don't confuse players. I would love to see extra levels to this!

tory 2021-10-06 20:39

Simple pleasant gameplay, nothing outstanding, the topic of jam is not covered.

elmismopancho 2021-10-06 20:42

Love to see this idea into a full game

hammerfrenzy 2021-10-06 20:43

Visually appealing, nice ambience. One feature I might suggest would be a way to knock back a platform early, occasionally I would hit one in the wrong direction and then just have to wait for it to come back. Good work!

hammerfrenzy 2021-10-06 20:43

(duplicate comment)

cromo 2021-10-06 20:46

Very pretty! And the music lent a nice ambience to the game, even with such a short loop. The floating platforms seemed a bit buggy from time to time - you could jump through them from beneath, but sometimes I'd collide with the side of them, which was unexpected. You could also jump off the middle of the platforms sometimes. I feel like a sound effect of the stones colliding with walls (along with maybe a subtle screen shake) could really lend a feeling of weight to pushing blocks around, but man I just can't complain when the art is so nice...

ryanjavanshir 2021-10-06 20:46

Really loved tis. The art, music and style were all really great, and you integrated the tutorial into the game fantastically.

dev-dennis 2021-10-06 20:52

My first impression from the screenshot is that this looks really nice ! It's nice, I like the mood. I think the gameplay could be more forgiving since it's really hard just to complete the first level. If that was easier it would give the players more of a success and they would want to play more. It's really difficult to hit the platforms. Great entry, amazing job. I hope you will continue with the game.

yotamco 2021-10-06 20:56

The graphics are amazing!! I love how everything fits the theme of an ancient temple. The music is also nice, although something a bit more varied would've also been nice. The last level took me a while, really well done! Liked the game a loot!

greenxenith 2021-10-06 21:02

Interesting mechanics, they remind me of an old Flash game called Guardian Rock. Rendering and input were pretty laggy, but it could just be me. The music is nice but pretty repetitive. The tutorial was effective and well-placed.

fenno-boomgaarden 2021-10-06 21:23

Beautiful! One of the best and most underrated entries I played so far!

The graphics and animations are pretty good for a jam game, works very nicely together

With the music and the background details it really creates this feeling of a jungle temple

The level design is absolutely brilliant. Especially the last level got me really puzzled until I found out how to do it and even then it was quite difficult. Love that. More levels would have been nice, but I know gamejam time is a very limited resource.

Really good decision making to reduce the game to its essence, love that. Nothing seems out of place or like an unfinished feature. It seams like a very complete and compact puzzle box with instructions in place and everything.

I really hope you guys get yourself some time to play and rates more games, to get over the 20 rating thing. Would be a huge waste if this masterpiece didnt score at the end! We played like fifty games since the jam ended and it worked out (35 ratings by now).

python-b5 2021-10-06 21:23

I really like the graphics, and the mechanics are interesting. My main annoyance with this game is the controls - they feel a bit unresponsive and overly "smoothed out", I guess. Not good at putting this into words :)

Good job!

mateu 2021-10-06 23:36

This was a really good game. The graphics were really good, and the puzzles were good. Sometimes the controls didn't feel too great, but that wasn't too big of a deal. The last puzzle I didn't quite understand, and then the door opened, so that was a little confusing. Overall very nice entry. It was a fun little experience.

leokrechmer 2021-10-07 15:12

Great visuals, challenging puzzles, may be a bit too challenging to me :) Controls are a bit... dont respond quite clear, but still nice game! Thanks!

xeke-death 2021-10-08 10:52

Played through it twice because I cheesed the last puzzle. Looks amazing, and the gameplay is pretty solid. Good fun, great work.

ladymistleaf 2021-10-08 13:46

Great little game, I loved how you incorporated the puzzle and platformer elements, the graphics were very pretty and clearing the game was fun!

ollieoa 2021-10-09 11:01

Thank you so much for your submission, really lovely work :)

onesmallboy 2021-10-09 13:45

Cool game love the art but i felt the levels were a bit too challenging

itzemii 2021-10-09 15:32

Very nice graphics. Very nice music. Solid controls, still I always prefer controller. Only the charge up feels a bit stiff: stops suddenly at top and cannot move left or right. Did not feel good. I did not see how the game jam topic was covered.

joror 2021-10-09 15:34

Great puzzler platformer! Nice difficulty ramp up, and step by step explanation. Art style is neat too. Well done. :)

ma-in 2021-10-09 19:49

Very good graphics

eptwalabha 2021-10-10 01:06

Nice game. The art direction and graphics are very nice. I only wish there were more levels, are you planning on making more in the future ? Anyway, good job on your submission.

soul-grinder 2021-10-10 08:54

Really liked the Aztec jungle graphics and the platform physics felt nice too. The levels increased in difficulty just right each level. Good polished puzzle platformer game and fun to play.

bloodycoin 2021-10-10 11:54

I know how platformers are complicated to get right. Beautiful coherent graphics, well matched with chill music. Good job with platforming part, especially platforms, so much polish there. And then you have such well thought out level design with unintrusive tutorial texts.

For last puzzle had to think a bit, and even then it was quite tight on time to execute solution. Would love to see enemy / boss mechanics involving same platforms. Reminds me a bit of old `Zelda` / `Alundra` games, where bosses have some weak spot, and to hit it you have to interact with environment and then time it well.

alexthehuman2 2021-10-10 15:32

Relatively bug free game that can be resolved just by resetting the level. The theme of this jam is well incorporated into the game. But yea, just more levels, and maybe some way of killing the player. It is an overall a pretty immersive game so good job! Well done on the submission.

denzil-gomes 2021-10-10 16:34

@bassguitarbill @bora-cun @onesmallboy @ma-in @eptwalabha

Thank you! Really glad you appreciated the art. @kingslee142 had to juggle a few things during the jam and still managed to get the art done surprisingly. @eptwalabha I'm contemplating porting it to mobile and adding more levels and polish but I'm not entirely sure yet.

I've tried out all your games and left some feedback, thanks for checking this out!

denzil-gomes 2021-10-10 18:15

@devundead Yeah there was still a little jank in the game, Would’ve liked to have cleaned it all up. Thanks for checking it out. We’ve tried your game and left some feedback too.

@kyrell it was kingslee142 that decided to go with this setting, I think it worked out well. Thanks for checking it out. We’ve tried your game and left some feedback too.

@bqq I think we ran into each other in a stream, you found an alternative solution! I’m glad you enjoyed it and stuck through that last level. Appreciate the compliments and feedback, I agree I would make the last level a little clearer by removing the smaller platforms. We’ve tried your game and left some feedback too.

@elmismopancho That's really good to hear. I'm contemplating making this a mobile game but not sure yet. Thanks for checking it out. We’ve tried your game and left some feedback too

@hammerfrenzy Thanks for trying it. Yeah a more creative way of resetting early might be a good idea. For now pressing r will restart the level. I've only listed this in the description however, perhaps it would be better in game. We’ve tried your game and left some feedback too

@cromo Yeah the platforms were a little unintentionally unstable lol and you're right I wish I had more time to add more juice to the game. Appreciate you checking it out. We’ve tried your game and left some feedback too

@ryanjavanshir Glad you thought the tutorial was well paced, they can be tricky at times. Thanks for your feedback! We’ve tried your game and left some feedback too

@dev-dennis Yeah some players did find it challenging at the beginning and most definitely did at the end! A little more balancing would've helped this if I had the time. Appreciate you trying it out. We’ve tried your game and left some feedback too

denzil-gomes 2021-10-10 19:32

@yotamco Really happy you enjoyed the game! Im also really glad you figured out that last level and stuck with it! I know it wasn't easy. Appreciate your feedback. We’ve tried your game and left some feedback too.

@greenxenith I hadn't heard of Guardian Rock before but I can see the similarities, even the setting of a jungle temple! Thanks for showing me. Appreciate the feedback. We’ve tried your game and left some feedback too.

@fenno-boomgaarden Wow thank you for the awesome compliment, I really appreciate it. You have a pretty cool game yourself!...pun intended lol. Happy to hear you managed to get past the last level, it was a bit more challenging than intended. We managed to play quite a few games since your comment and I'm glad we will get a rating. Thanks for the feedback. I left you some feedback too

@python-b5 I think it has something to do with me adding forces as opposed to changing velocity directly. Thanks for letting me know and for the feedback. We’ve tried your game and left some feedback too.

@mateu Happy to hear you liked the game. Its a shame it bugged out on you. There was a bug in that last switch that could be activated by the player. Appreciate you checking it out. We've tried your game and left some feedback too.

@leokrechmer Thank you for checking this out and for the stream. It wasn't just you, unfortunately and unintentionally I've tortured a few streamers with this game lol The feedback is really appreciated and it was great to be able to see you play through it. We tried your game and left some feedback too.

@xeke-death Had a fun time watching you come up with a "creative solution" to that last level lol I also really appreciate you taking the time to try it again and all the great feedback on your stream. We tried your game and left some feedback too.

elysiagriffin 2021-10-11 17:30

@ladymistleaf Thank you very much for the feedback and for the stream! You're one of the few people to finish that last level not only that quick but also as I has intended and without a single hint! (So far there's been 4 ways found to clear it!) We played your game and left some feedback too.

@ollieoa I really appreciate you/your partner trying this out on stream and for the feedback, no better way to learn then when watching others play your game! I tried your game too and left some feedback.

@onesmallboy that level was definitely too much too soon, as is evident by some of the streams and other comments, you're not the only one to find it difficult, but I appreciate you giving it a go though and for the compliments. We've played your game and left some feedback too.

@itzemii I have to agree the charge up move is a little stiff, with more time I'd definitely polish that up first. Thank you for the compliments and for trying this. We played your game and left some feedback too.

@joror Appreciate the nice comments, I'm glad you had a good time with it! Makes the time spent on it worth it. We tried your game too and left some feedback.

@soul-grinder that's nice to here! I worked on those platforms for quite a bit and they were also the cause of many bugs so its great to hear at least in your playthrough it was good lol Thanks for checking it out! We played your game too and left some feedback.

@bloodycoin Wow thanks for the great compliments. if anything reminds you even in the most microscopic of ways of Zelda then I can pack up and go..my job is done here lol I've never heard of Alundra before but I'm going to have to check it out now looks pretty good. Boss battles is a great idea. I'm considering making a bunch of levels and polishing this, if so boss battles will be on the agenda thanks for your feedback. We played your game too and left some feedback

@alexthehuman2 Thanks again for your feedback and for playing this on your stream! I'm glad the quick restart solved the bugs for you and that you made it through to the end. We played your game too and left some feedback

@elysiagriffin Thank you for playing this on your stream and for soldiering on as much as you did with all that pressure, really appreciate that and all the useful feedback you gave. We played your game and left some feedback too.

gurbx 2021-10-12 17:53

Really enjoyed playing this one! The game itself feels really polished and the art is beautiful! A bit sad that there aren't any sound effects as those would have added a lot to the overall feel of the game. Still really great job! Feels like there is a lot of potential to do more with this mechanic.

denzil-gomes 2021-10-13 12:50

@gurbx Thanks for checking it out! Really appreciate the feedback and I agree I think there is more that could be done with more time to play around with it. We played your game too and left some feedback

marcadia 2021-10-14 13:52

Great game ideas and graphics, physics feels a little soapy thought and it's kinda frustrating

shea-kelly 2021-10-14 16:12

very fun game the puzzles fit in well to the game and they didn't drag on too long so its a thumbs up form me

yikescloud 2021-10-14 16:24

Innovative puzzle mechanic! Spend some time to figure out how to get the last room, fun to play! I love your graphic style! Add more levels and make a better moving feeling will give much more fun.

balduin 2021-10-14 16:53

Great puzzle game with really nice visuals. Moving the platforms was also a great way to incorporate the theme.

r3l0ad1 2021-10-15 18:26

Fun game! the graphics are cool and it is really polished. good work!

denzil-gomes 2021-10-17 15:49

@marcadia The platform physics were a little challenging and could use some tweaking for sure, thanks for checking it out. We tried your game and left some feedback too.

@shea-kelly Happy to get the thumbs up, thanks for the feedback! We played your game and left some feedback too.

@yikescloud Yep that last level did get quite a few people. Thanks for the compliment on the art by @kingslee142, were both big fans of your art! Thanks for the feedback, we played and left you some feedback too.

@togis Thanks so much for the great feedback and for playing our game on your stream! I played and left feedback for your game too

fabula-rasa 2021-10-21 11:28

Beautiful game and really nice music. It was a pleasure to look at and play. Some juicy sfx would be a good addition. Generally, it feels polished and made with love :)

Predictably, I sucked at the timed platforming element. It took me more tires than I care to admit to actually perform the needed actions on the last level fast enough . But still, really enjoyable.

denzil-gomes 2021-10-21 17:53

@fabula-rasa Thank you for the great feedback! Yeah a few people did find it tricky and some suggested removing timers entirely so you're not alone there . I enjoyed your game too!
