I love this little game. Small note - whenever I hit "SPACEBAR" to jump it scrolls my browser view down, but I figured out you could use a left click.
@prodigalson great design and super solid feel!
Beautifully polished visuals on this. I really love the effort you've taken to make different spells, but they all just deal straight damage - so maybe incorporate some burn effects, or windy push-back? Also - given that the only thing you can do is cast spells it might make sense for him to just always have the element menu open. Nevertheless, this is a very well executed concept! Coolest magic I've seen in the submissions yet.
Your itch.io link is redirecting me to a page asking for a password.
It may just be me but WASD did not work for me to move around. It was more like QZSD. Nevertheless, cool game! Love the visuals and sound design on this.
Really nice idea. You could experiment with the player being able to crash through the buildings themselves in true viking fashion!
Beautiful assets on this game, and I love the minigame rush! Great job on this game.
Really whacked out concept, y'all - I love it!
Absolutely hilarious - the audio is stuck in a loop though. Great mechanics on this game, I love this idea!
This is sweet. I love the bright colors in the assets! The change in perspective when you speed up feels really cool, but kind of hurts my head after a while lol.
This game feels great to play - hats off to you! Sending this one to my friends!
I'm not usually a fan of these kind of games but you got me with the penguin. Maybe get some dynamic objects in here - might be fun to knock down a tree or something!
Just first comment for setting up the submission page for ludum dare.
@diego-escalante Hilarious story about the glass shattering sound effect - the other programmer's kid was fast asleep at the time we needed to record this sound so we ended up grabbing a few bottles and actually breaking them with a rock in my car. The explosion sound effect was made by throwing Unity.exe into Audacity's "raw import" mode and finding some interesting bits.
I love the "thread the needle" concept here - very satisfying! I think it would be cool if you could someone use it to pull certain enemies towards you: the enemies that sit in the rafters are a little hard to "pin down". Great overall concept and execution on this!
Love the music and screen effects on this. Really fun!
