Some good mood here ! Art direction is also kinda... unique in a way, and it gives a good vibe. But I'm terrible at this kind of game so I may not see the end haha. Well done !
What a pretty game! If I have a criticism it's that the indications of when the beat is are a little soft. The frog's movements are lovely and squishy but that makes it tricky to see when the exact window for hitting the key is. The music is lovely and I just love the overall vibe. Really nice job.

Wow the music in this game was *amazing*. The animation and narrative were also charming - if only the game were a bit longer!
At first I had trouble pressing the keys at the right time - it wasn't clear what part of the stomp and guitar raising animations I should be syncing my key presses to. Then I figured out you can just ignore the animation and listen to the music for key presses!
I'm terrible at rhythm games, but this is such a lovely story with a fun game to it! Art style looks gorgeous and honestly teared up a little at the end! Amazing work, incredible music!
The animations are really great πΈπΈπΈ Where you would expect just a few animation frame are the animations really solid. The ritthems where for me a bit hard to follow. Maybe a small indication on the bottom when you are supposed to click on the button would have helped. The art was just really solid. The suspensions of suddenly seeing everyone moving was really magical πΈ
THE ANIMATIONS!!!! THE SOUND!!! but playing it was really hard. at the end, me and my friend started playing together to make it easier. but we loved it in general, well done!
I have ended music school and it still didn't saved me from making many mistakes there, lol ;) I liked visuals and music, that's a good entry.

For something that requires precise timing it's hard to keep track of all the motions and make sure to get the timing right. Perhaps playing more might make me more used to it, but it is frustrating to get to that level (for me), especially when the frog suddenly changed speeds on the movements! With the visual aid being hard to track, AND the music not having any cues either (think Rhythm heaven), I wish there was another way to keep track of the beat (the clock?).
I'm not sure how the theme was implemented as well... it's not very clear if at all. Being that is my impression, I unfortunately can't place any scores on that regard.
Understandably the time frame would have limited any updates/testing/etc, but I hope that you guys improve on this build and release it stronger than ever later on! It's very clear that you guys had a clear idea for it!
The graphical work here is top notch, as is the sound. Having art and music that good on such a short time frame is beyond impressive.

A rhythm game with story in a game jam? Awesomely done! That must have been a challenge to get balanced but I think you did an impressively great job of it.
I was really excited for the story but it wasn't quite my jam (ha, punned). That being said the animations in each level were amazing and overall this was quite the impressive entry.

WOW! so much effort has been put into this game! animations and musics are awesome. i'm not much into rhythm games, but i kept playing because the game overall is really polished and beautiful. These were 72 hours really well spent!

Well damn, I downloaded this as graphics looked promising and I wasn't disappointed. If your game doesn't get close to winning in mood or humor there is no justice in the world. One thing I can say is there is nothing like a colored 2d cartoon to make an old fart happy for a while, thanks.
I totally bombed that prison song but got 628 on the ocean one!! I wasn't expecting such a cute story - nice touch! The frog and art kind of remind me of Mr. Frog and Mr. Toad. Very nostalgic!
Such good progress for such little time. Enjoyed playing it and love the animation style - especially the froggies and the storyline too. Struggled to see where the theme comes into it but overall a cute little game. Good job :)
Very stylish and unique art style. Combined with the music it gives the game a nice relaxed mood. Almost remind me of those old children games.
The game flows well when you get a hang of it. Hitting the notes at the right time would definitely need a clearer feedback. It has those glowing notes now but since the point of the game is to hit the notes at the right time, it should really feel great when you do it. But these are something that could be easily ironed out after the jam!

That was great ! The rhythm gameplay is well made, and the charming story makes it really shine ! The art style is cute as hell, and using the body of the character as and indication for the notes to play is really clever !
I found the first song harder than the rest, I think it is actually harder to be precise at slow tempos.

That was a wonderful experience. Thank you so much! Don't want to give to much away here because of spoilers, but I loved the evolution of the character in his guitar and outfit, and the way he tilted his head back to remember other times was just delightful!! The only note I would give is that I thought some of the songs got a bit repetitive, not sure if it was because of the song itself or the "coreograph".. but other than that, what an absolute wonder of an entry!
This is a really cute game. Great music and visuals, the timing is a little weird/wonky at times, but that's maybe because i was playing on the web version, which you explicitly state can have issues, but still, the game was really good. Nice work!

No idea if I did well or not, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I usually enjoy rhythm games but something about this was a bit more challenging than usual. Not sure if I can give you anything new in my feedback but I wanted to make sure you knew that I thought it was gorgeous and well done!

What a great game! I loved that the songs had different time signatures that mixed it up, could have had a bit more variations in the rhythms. Having the animations show the inputs was a very creative way to not need UI and prompts. Nice job to create such high quality music! Amazing entry!

The aesthetics, the music, the gameplay, storytelling, all perfectly matched each other. This game made me so happy :D the only complaint I have would be that the rhythm in the second level got a little static, it seemed easier than the first level. Other than that this game feels extremely polished, every scene looked like a page out of a published illustration book.

I found the rhythm game fairly fun, if a little challenging at times - there was a fun time signature in the third level, and some fun tempo variations in level 4. My main feedback for the core gameplay loop would be to possibly have some kind of combo meter / score tracker visible. It might take away from the aesthetic a little, but I think it would have kept my interest a little more if I was trying to keep up a combo, whereas as it stands some of the song sections felt a little repetitive for my tastes.

Outstanding entry ! Maybe the best so far ! This litle story is touching really polished and seamless ! My only critic is toward a little lack of feedback for the inputs that make it pretty difficult to catch the patterns of the song. But overall really good jobs !
Wow this was fantastic! The storytelling, the art, the music, all of it had me engaged! The art style in particular really did a number on this game's mood, really love it! I really liked the little dances that those characters did, the animator really deserves a cookie for all this. The music was great too and I especially loved the little off-harmony notes that played when you got it wrong. And I experienced no programming issue whatsoever, so really this is a case where everyone did their part extremely well.
If I may, I do have just a little teeny tiny issue in game play. Normally rhythm games like these give you cues in advance, like an oncoming note or a tutorial for special actions like in rhythm heaven. It's not impossible perse but the stomp and lift cues tend to happen a little too fast here to get it right whenever there's a new variation. Now, this can be a game design if it was intended. It's not hard to beat the game anyhow since the patterns are simple and variations do not happen that often (there is no game over to my knowledge). Maybe it was intentional that you have to know the entire song/pattern in advance to play it perfectly. It is kind of unprecedented gameplay however.
And also maybe the 10 seconds thing was a little out of place to be honest. This isn't really an issue since it's jam anyway, but I feel like it didn't really have anything to do with anything.
Otherwise I can't find any problems with it! Really great job guys and I mean it, and once again superb work with the artwork! I'd do anything to draw and animate like that.

Very beautiful art style, music and story telling. The gameplay parts with the rhythm actually got really challenging towards the later levels. I messed up quite a bit, haha. But I enjoyed it very much.
Presentation is quite amazing, both the music and the story! Must admit it wasn't clear to me when I was suppose hit the keys w.r.t. the guitar animation. Also was a little hard for me to follow both the foot and guitar at the same time, but that might just be a me problem.
Game jam games don't get much better than this. It goes without saying, but the artwork is fantastic and extremely charming (it reminds me a bit of the game Later Alligator). I sincerely hope you turn this into a full game, where you expand on the mechanics.

Suuuch a cute game, I love the aesthetics, they are very originals and constrating with a lot of other LD games. Lot of humor and a great happy / nostlagia mood. The only problems are that I found it veeeery hard to play, like I was never sure of when to press the keys (especially on the first song, it was the hardest one to play for me), and also for a rhythm game, I have the feeling that the music could have been a bit more catchy but hey, it's a Ludum and there is only 72 hours, and for this time, the game is impressive !

Only thing that bothered me was the lack of indication on the beat. It kinda hard to explain but the press mechanics felt a bit flat? Maybe there could be a spark or something at the moment game wants me to press a key. But after key press indications are great

WOW! The strongest entry I've played so far. The music, the mood, the graphics... Everything was NEAT! Loved every animation, memories and songs. I thought difficulty increased a tad too steeply between the 3rd and 4th song. But other than that, I loved every single piece of this game! Congrats!

The art and animation are great. I felt the gameplay a bit too simple and it was hard to time the beats because the audio felt unsynced (played the executable version). Despite that, I'm glad that I played, nice entry!

I love everything about this game! Visual design is interesting and consistent, animations are superb (had to watch my own playthrough to fully appreciate them), music is fitting and the story is simple, but sufficient (and painfully reminiscent of the ongoing events). The minor issue I've noticed is that in some songs the expected rhythm seems a bit off to the melody. Despite that, exceptional entry!

First playthrough, tired and in browser, happy with the result nonetheless!
It takes a bit of getting used to for each song to get hold of the rythm, and then it's such a pleasing ride! The drawing are beautiful, all animations so smooth... The music is soothing and catchy at the same time, I would definetly love to stream the soundtrack even out of the game :D Impeccable polish, and funny story as the cherry on top. Beautiful entry, thank you for the nice bedtime story.

Very polished and beautiful game! Loved the little tunes and the humor of it as well. Playing the rhythm game itself was a bit confusing to me, I think more feedback for the player would defintely increase the fun of it.
Wow well done :) the art and music was awesome. Very simple controls which was easy to get a hang on. Would love to see more instruments mechanics ie instruments, melodies, scenes. But given the time limit this was very well polished, the animations are smooth, coherent and makes you feel good. Very well executed guys and gals :)
Lovely! The art, animation, characters, music, everything comes together to create a unique experience. Loved how instead of showing prompts for which button you have to press like most rhythm games you made it so well interwoven with the actual character animation and it works great! I'd love to see any full on game releases the studio makes in the future :)

I think some more feedback would have been good for the rythm phases, like an overall score, or a timer/something to know when the song will end It is a great entry nonetheless, good job~

I had lots of problems when the rythm was changing, I was completly lost, but all the rest of the game was very enjoyable. I like the story telling, the music (And when it change according to us) and all the animations around us (A very good point).

That was somethin I tell ya. Took awhile to be not-terrible at playing but it felt pretty good once I got into it. Very froggy. Kinda impressed with how long it was. Quite the storytelling, too.

Amazing art and animation work. The music is really good too and I love the audio and visual ques when you do good or bad. It could be that I'm bad at rhythm games but I had a really hard time predicting the movement of the foot and the guitar. I think some more visual anticipation and a clearer que to hit the note would help. Super impressed with how polished this game is. Fantastic Job!

Amazing work on the art and the audio, this is one of the best looking and polished entries I've seen! It was quite hard for me to pick up on the visual cues for getting the timing right, so maybe some more conventional UI would help, but overall it was such a nice mix of great storytelling with interesting visuals and gameplay. Such a wonderfully polished entry on most accounts π Lovely drawings, palette, the whole thing, just a bit static in terms of animations but I suppose it was good to be able to focus on the movements that matter to keeping up with the beat π And what a beat! Really lovely songs, amazing the amount of work you managed to get in on that, along with the story and illustrating all the different sets. It did feel difficult at times but I'm not very rhythmic so that's probably on me! Is it cheating if I ended up hitting keys on every beat to make sure I would get them on the one beat that mattered? π Ahh, anyway, what an entry, wow! Amazing job.
