Super cool idea for a puzzle game, though it's kinda hard to wrap your head around at first. Generally had a really good time with this, good job!

Thanks heaps :) definitely would work on fleshing out a better "show, don't tell" kind of tutorial, had I the time
Excellent game! nicely refined, it worked perfectly and I managed to complete it. the tutorial was perfect, a satisfying slice of the game yet simple enough to get the concept. The ability to choose to record or reset is unique as far as I can tell and works well with the multiple coloured portals. nice attention to detail in the graphics too
@adam-jewell Thank you so much!! I made sure to pay attention to the tutorial, since I knew it was a bit of a complicated concept, I'm so glad you managed to grasp it, and as a programmer primarily, I'm glad to know some creative choices aesthetically can help make up for not so perfect technical art skills. Thank you so much for your comment :)
Super amazing, good job! :)
@eevitt Thanks, it was all for your approval.
It was a fun game. I liked it! It was a little bit difficult at the beginning, but I've got to it quickly. Well done!
@shan.hsgames Yeah, the tutorial could definitely use better pacing and refining, but I'm glad you picked it up in the end :)
Very well executed. Gets my puzzle brain gears rolling.
@wormius Glad you enjoyed it!
Super cool game, a bit hard to get used to the controls but super fun once ya get the hang of things
Admittedly I just watched you play this on stream so the puzzles were kinda spoiled :) but I really liked the atmosphere and the story and all the details put into this! The art really fit the mood too. Great jam entry!
@feesh yeah a full build would definitely benefit from some control refinement, glad you thought it was cool!
@lectvs glad the hoop knight dev himself likes my game
Mechanically rock solid! I enjoyed the music loop as well, very classic puzzle game.
@cad Thanks heaps :) Definitely feel like this is my most solid project mechanically!
I like puzzle games like this, great music
@borisfrommurmansk Thanks! I always think the music is one of the best things to portray tone, I hope I got the puzzles got your brain cogs turning!
Hello! Wow your game is so cool!!! You fit the theme pretty closely and I love the mechanism in the game. The sound effect as well as the music fits well. And! When there comes more previous protagonists to solve the puzzle is so surprised to me. I like puzzle game and this is definitely the awesome one. I look forward this game can go further!
@meowmeowlitclub Thank you so much, I think expanding on this is definitely going to be my next project!
Incredible game. Excellent use of the theme, very creative the mechanics of ghosts. Good job.
@vphyre Thanks!! I'm really happy with how well this jam entry stuck to the theme, I think it's some of my best work yet
This was fun! Puzzles were on point. Artwork was decent. Good job!
really cool game! i definitely had some trouble figuring it out, but it's a rad concept, good music, really fun to play
@kevin-mooney thanks! A full version would definitely benefit from an extended tutorial
@kaganobik Glad you enjoyed! This is my first puzzle game, so I'm happy it worked out as well as it did.
I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection
Such a cool idea and really well implemented. The mechanic of switching between safe and reset mode felt a bit weird at first but you got used to it pretty quickly. All the puzzles were awesome and took some thinking, but you felt your way into them slowly and the learning curve was great. Really well done!
Really cool game !! Puzzles are fun and not too difficult, music also hyped me ! Also fits the theme ! Great work !
@etrealjunior Thanks! I will definitely be checking out your game!
@andidebob Thank you! I think the difficulty curve was really the thing that allowed players to understand the mechanics without being bogged down with exposition :)
@shyrro Thanks! I always think music really helps set the mood, I'm glad you liked it!
Wow, super cool! Like it so much
@ellladee Thank you so much
Fun game, with interesting mechanics. I am not usually a fan of puzzle games but this is different. I wish I didn't watch the youtube video before trying haha. Good job!
@alarianngames I'm glad I could make a puzzle game to your liking!! Thank you for the feedback
Interesting puzzle idea and nice execution, i liked it a lot. At the start i got a little bit confused with the Save Reset but after i got used to it it made sense. Awesome work!
I went in completely blind and kinda understood the core puzzle mechanics (nothing that haven't been done before, but that's ok!), which fit the theme fine of course. Still, I had a lot of trouble really getting into the controls and what they do. Mybe it's just me, but it didn't feel very intuitive. I'm not a huge fan of puzzle games like this, so maybe I'm biased a bit. The art is very basic and "painty" but that's also excusable since you made it by yourself and I know how much time making good artwork takes. There wouldn't be much time left to implement actual game play afterwards :D
A pretty clever and well made puzzle game, thank you!
I had already seen this type of mechanics in different types of games, I liked how it performed in topdown that way I didn't know, puzzles are fascinating great work!
It is a good solution to the theme, yeah it is a bit counter intuitive, but polishing a small game made during a 3 days jam or so, can easily take a week. So I would say It is pretty good in the most part, especially for working alone.
@exopunk Thanks! Making the save/reset feature a little more clear to the player is the biggest think I would change given more time, as I see it as the unique selling point of the ghost-type puzzlers I've seen.
@duke Thanks for the feedback! I'm definitely a programmer primarily, so a 3 day art deadline is gonna be rough
@tricky-fat-cat Thank you for playing!!
@etrealjunior Thank you! I've always loved top down games, so I'm glad I could use it to do puzzle games justice
@oillen Thanks! Will definitely be receiving many layers of polish if it turns into a long-term project!
Controlls are weird but fun game. Cool graphics, I could sense the atmosphere. good job
Nice game! The graphics are right up my alley and the controls are a pleasure to use, could you check out my game when you can? :D
The instructions given throughout the game makes it simple to dive right in. I never really felt too stuck at one point yet still feeling gratified for every puzzle solved. The save reset was a bit unnatural for me. I feel like there couldve been a better way to implement that. Maybe it should start recording the moment you press space on the portal. then if you press space again on the portal, it will reset the time loop. That's what I wouldve wanted. what do you think? Anyways, I love a good puzzle game and this one gave me the satisfaction. good job!
@arad-hamidsamiee Thanks! The atmospheric story telling was something I really focused on, even with the time constraint :)
@samdemaine Thank you, will definitely check out your game!!
@grizzliusmaximus Thanks! making the save/reset system more defined and understood is definitely priority number one if chroma clones becomes a full time project!
Good gameplay.
@sollu Thanks! Glad you liked it :)
Them's some brain-bending puzzles! I'm not the most clever when it comes to puzzle-solving, and though the goal was often clear enough about what to do, figuring out how made my head hurt. The controls were easy enough to learn and use, and the visual cues helped guide me through.
This is a great puzzle game. It took me a while to fully understand the mechanics, but I don't think there's a better way to learn them than by using them. A lot of loops just involve moving to a location and then standing there/shooting a target, and I kinda wish there were a way to make that process less tedious. Still, this is an exemplary use of the theme to create a complete, innovative experience.
@budaniel Thanks! This is my first puzzle game, and I'm glad I managed to make some good puzzles!
@piscythe Thanks for the feedback! I definitely had a bunch of ideas for how to make better puzzles, but didn't want to fall into the trap of "would be nices", believe me, if a full version gets made, there will be plenty more better puzzles to go around!
I enjoyed this. I think some puzzles where timing is important would add another dimension, i.e. stand on button 1 for 3 seconds, then move to button 2.
@andre-sadie Thanks! I tried to implement timing with the shootable switches, as well as certain aspects of level design, but felt the need to not be too hard on the players in asking them to time things exactly right, a full release would include a much shallow difficulty curve that would reach a higher peak, thanks for the feedback!!!
Hey there!
Feel free to ignore most of the things due to jam scope, etc, but I'm giving feedback assuming you would keep working in the game.
Could've been better: - Cursor is hard to see due to its color, so you usually lose the sight, would be better to have something with a higher contrast - "Show the lock before you show the key" - you often show text explaining something that we didn't do before, or as we are about to do it. It's sometimes good to let go of the players hand and let them learn by experimentation or don't tell them what to do right away. - There are a few game-breaking conditions such as getting stuck inside portals or self-trapping that could be fixed by code or level design
Good points: - In-game tutorial is always appreciated - Clever record gameplay (if you can look at an old flash game called Cursor * 10, it is really cool in that context)
If you have time, please click on my profile and give me some constructive feedback on my game (:

gotta be honest, I thought I will never get it. Still managed to beat the game in the end though :DD
Really cool mechanic. Really brainy and puzzly. Liked the tutorials in the enivironment, though they obviously didn't help my confusion too much. Oh, It wasn't too obvious that those things on the wall (lamps I guess) are interactable. A hint like later on on the lever with "push", respectively with "shoot" would have been nice.
Really cool game!
Thanks for the feedback, glad you managed to finish the game!!
had fun! good job
@cursedembassy Thanks! Glad you had fun :)
