The game is simply marvelous. Everyone can see it. Amazing graphics, music, character design and mood. Some noticed that the combat system was lacking, but I think it's still pretty good for jam. Kinda lacking also the level design, but still impressive for a 72h span.

Just to be clear, I really loved the mood. If you were to develop and improve this game, I would certainly buy it.

Hi! I like your game, I also wanted to make a game based on psychoanalysis but in the end I changed my mind. I like your idea of facing fears and pains as if they were monsters. I played the web version, I don't know if it also applies to the downloaded one, but if you want I have some feedback. I haven't seen any health or resource bars, that's okay, but I think infinite resources and unclear health bars don't make the fight stand out. And speaking of infinite resources: the ranged attack is much more beneficial than the melee one, which is a shame, because you animated it well. I'd recommend to increase the ranged attack recovery or to increase the melee attack range to make it more interesting.

You guys definitely have good taste. I really loved the game. 5/5 on everything.

Deep down the Abyss by Kyrios 2021-04-29T08:39:35Z

Loved the aesthetics. Loved the music. Loved your take on the theme.

Did not loved the overall gameplay. If you want some feedback, I did not fully understand what was goin on since the monster had no healtbar and the player attacks didn't show any damage number or similar feature. I guess you didn't manage to fit in this type of things because of the few timespan.

Overall, nice eldritch game.

Deep in sh... by kwaku 2021-04-27T09:09:27Z

Hi. I really love the drawings and the setting. Had a really tought time with the controls tho. I get it was intentionally clumsy, but after 5+ minutes I gave up (soorrry). On this note I did not understand if the game is an endless run or a designed path. I highly recommend you to add a score with the total distance digged (in case it is an endless run) or a slider with the character position relative to the total path.

Graphite Journey by pnkvrt 2021-04-27T13:26:36Z

Really loved the mood. Thank you for making such a cute game. Kinda refreshing compared to most of the other deep and dark games made for this theme.

Deep into the Woods by Phanelly 2021-04-27T13:48:29Z

Thank you very much everyone for your kind comments and helpful feedback. We really loved making this game and can't wait to get it back in hand to improve it.

Slumber by KepperSnapper 2021-04-27T09:27:38Z

I love it. I really like your take on the theme and the overall game concept. It took me some time to get used to the controls, but then the game became really enjoable. I gotta say that I did not appreciate the character air controls. I understand that it was part of the character concept, but I think that giving the player more control over movement the game would have a more responsive feeling and it would engage more. Don't take it as a criticism (more like feedback), I like the game, I just think that with more control of the movements it would be more engaging.

Atomic Decay by Zahab_AQ 2021-10-05T08:30:29Z

Okay, I made a score of 804. In a few days I'll come back to see what's the highest.

I like the game, but I found a little bug: I was about to loose when I put a correct potion gaining other green in the bar but after a half a sec the timer went out and lost (even tho I still had some green in the bar).

Ebony & Ivory Tower by kromeboy 2021-10-08T06:36:58Z

Ok, I need to find someone to play this with. Well polished btw

GhostShore with a bulb by RIBOUT Horace 2021-10-05T08:46:57Z

Wow, I really liked you game. It felt like a little poem, like the games from ThatGameCompany or some Pixar short. Very beautiful, and well polished.

Unstable "AI" by uboretsky 2021-10-05T09:02:09Z

I managed to reach 31 days. Is it a good score?

Btw cute game, I liked it. I'd only suggest an harsher difficulty scaling because it gets a little bit boring around the 25th day.

Balancefield by Codeer 2021-10-05T08:38:10Z

Ok, I lasted 3 minutes, what's the average?

Btw I love your game. It is a unique take on the theme and is really fun to play. Good job.

(I'll come back to reach an higher score)

Space Alconaut by Bassilij 2021-10-05T08:19:01Z

Your game is truly horrible. I love it.

@gat 40 seconds left? GG good one

Radio Inactive by Edoardo Talamini 2021-10-05T14:58:42Z

@gabrielgamedev yes, there seems to be some problems with the web version. In some browsers the sprite order does not respect the original order and this causes that weird bug. I would like to fix the problem but it doesn't happen on my browser so I really don't know how to approach it.

Radio Inactive by Edoardo Talamini 2021-10-05T17:12:44Z

@gabrielgamedev yes, the problem is the order in layer of the sprites but is quite more complex since that parameter is dynamic and based on the vertical position of the sprites. In the pc build all works like a charm, but in the web version it somehow changes relatively to the browser. Rn I have no idea how to fix that.

LD53 — Delivery

Heart-Warming Deliveries by Joscco 2023-05-02T07:28:18Z

Very cute, very cozy and very polished. So nice to play! Some puzzles are very difficult, got stuck on them a number of times! I would have loved to have a restart button to restart the level when I knew that I messed up already. Anyway, super cool game <3

The Smuggler's Map by Phanelly 2023-05-02T08:29:06Z

@jkyd Thank you for the heads up on the screen scaling, I'll look into that. Also thank you for the feedback on the readability, after the jam we'll have to rethink that! On the same category, thank you @icch-howw for the feedback!

@hedroncrab you are right about the boat drifting away, it was such an annoying bug! Luckily I managed to fix it like one hour after your comment, luckily soon enough before the end of the jam ahah!

@stefan-funke thank you for the meaningful feedback. Weird about the ships not spawning anymore! I wonder what caused it. I like your idea about the redesign of the legend, we well think about it when we redesign it. And thank you for the feedback on the island shapes, such a good idea <3 Also I see you reached 1 milion, I hope you found it funny.

The Smuggler's Map by Phanelly 2023-05-08T07:10:50Z

@waterflow as the programmer of the team which consequently programmed all the AIs, yes, the pirates are definitely crazy and this is not a bug.

@ping78 yes, the dock triggers are way bigger in order to make things easier for the player. If instead you're referring to enemies' triggers, I thought I was precise and fair with those. Let me know which one you think feels weird

@sneakyfox yes you're right: micro movements are very difficult because if you click anywhere else than the exact center that's gonna be the first destination of the path. I should have fixed that but I had much other stuff to fix first ahah.

LD55 — Summoning

Shadow Summoner by Tommy 2024-04-21T14:18:52Z

Such a cute looking game. The art is definitely top tier. The basic mechanic ideas is very nice as well. It is intuitive, clear and definitely a nice take on the Summoning theme. It is nice to play around with the system and put multiple runes and summon all monsters together.

I think the game could be improved on two direction: (1) the UI (the "health-hearth") is too far away from where the screen demands the player's attention. I'd recommend to have maybe three small hearts on the player's character or a different kind of health mechanic, maybe one that affects the summoning and rune placing instead. (2) I think the map really needs some obstacles for the player to outmaneuver the enemies, especially the ranged ones. A labyrinthish map would also add complexity to the rune positioning. I think it would be fun.

All in all very cute a fun game! Keep the good work up!

Boots Of Summoning by detectiveLosos 2024-04-21T14:51:03Z

Alright, this is an actual nice game. This is one of those games that make you press 'restart' a lot.

I really like the basic idea of enemies summoning on where you walk and you needing to kill them to stay alive. It feel like a cunning subversion of typical fps.

Really like it. No critical feedback to give. Maybe the game could benefit from some polishing of movement system if you wish to actually ship it.

Maybe also I'd recommend working on the enemies AI so that they actually run away from you. In that way the player would be forced to chase them and feel very pressured about it ahah

Pandaemonium by D34TH0FTIT4N5 2024-04-21T15:07:24Z

Cute graphics! Really like the low-res style and the way the player-character moves around is just so cute ahahah.

I kinda had an hard time understanding what I had to do, especially in the end, but I didn't mind to much cause the style got me vibin'

CallOfTitan by EmilAlix 2024-04-21T14:40:12Z

I got hooked by the art. I love it. Such a cute and unique style. I loved the intro as well!

About the controls I'd recommend using the axis and not the direct keys, in this way you wont need to have any sort of mapping button in the UI.

Considering the gameplay, it is very nice and engaging. The movement system could use some improvement however. For a bullet-style game like this one, faster and snappier movement would make it more engaging imho.

Overall a nice idea. With some polishing it could be a worthy ship!

Type My Name by Danigabe 2024-04-21T15:24:42Z

wow. WOW

Genius idea. Genius game mechanic. Genius subversion. Genius graphics + shader. Overall a genius idea for a gamejam game.

No feedback to give. Only kudos.

No ok, one feedback: make it WebGL. Downloading is annoying

Merlin Agency : The Enchanted Feather by AbominableScience 2024-04-21T14:57:33Z

Nice game! Simple and efficient. Works well.

It actually has a similar concept to our game, but unlike ours in your game players actually understand what they have to do ahahah.
