A nice short game, unfortunately I am too bad to ever see what upgrades to my sword or shield do. But this could be a really fun concept if it was turned into multiplayer. Good Job!

I like how the blood drops don't clean up after you die/restart. After a few tries this left quite a mess :) Agree that this would be a fun multiplayer (browser)game for some quick sword-fights.

I found myself eagerly anticipating my next attack due to how the screen shook with every stab. The blood spatters sticking around was a nice touch. I think one easy way to make it a bit more exciting would be to increase the walk speed of characters. Good work!

Awesome game, really liked the whole blood as currency type of deal, but would have loved if we would have had another mechanic to make it more interesting. But keep up the good work :D

Fun game! My character unfortunately stopped participating in the fights after 3rd or 4th round for some reason, it just stayed there even though my health/stamina were full. Opponent was slashing away at me, I could see the blood splatters, but the health bar wasn't going down.

Apart from that bug, the game was actually fun to play! A 2 player local co-op mode would have been a fun addition as well :D

It really reminds me of a combination nidhogg and boxhead ^^ It's a fun and short game. I would also love to see what the upgrades do.

@andidebob Upgrades make your sword stronger and shield more resistant.

@comatomatoes I never thought of adjusting the walk speed. Great idea! It could also make the game progress faster after the player is used to the mechanics.

@gcttirth That bug should be fixed now. I only noticed how it could happen only after I watched a friend play.

@gecco-xyz I should probably play those.

A incredibly fun game! I really enjoyed it, although the simplistic graphics and animations. The combat felt pretty nice, I felt like it required skill to win and i just don't have anything negative to say about this game.

lol i had the same problem, eventually i figured it out but was all like... fight?

Cool mechanics. Takes some care and skill to parry and stab at the right times and manage stamina.

Hey, I really like your game. The hitboxes feel really good and responsive. It felt always fair losing or winning. Got some counterstrike knife duel flashbacks. Maybe the blood part of the game could be added to the actual game so that you can/have to "pick up" the blood of your enemies or something.

Woah, that was surprisingly difficult! I definitely had to restart a few times to get the hang of it. I really enjoyed the simplicity and elegance of this and the music for sure got me in the mood to slay some enemies!

Nice game! My only complaint would be that the movement feels a bit too slow and maybe it could do with an extra mechanic to spice up the combat (perhaps something like a double tapping a move key to quickly dodge in that direction at the cost of some stamina). Good work!
