LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Traffic Jams and Hand Grenades by phi 2018-12-28T21:41:45Z

I killed no more people than necessary! Nice puzzle game and I would surely enjoy playing more levels :) The thing I definitely missed was a reset button though. I Made a mistake in the final level, and had to replay all levels to try it again ;) Oh well. Congrats on improving on one the best puzzle games ever made!

God given gifts, taken by hunttis 2018-12-28T00:22:40Z

I finished your game! Just a straight-forward platformer and it wasn't too challenging, but enough to keep me playing :) Well done!

Ai System by ToadieTechnika 2018-12-24T16:53:27Z

This is simply the best game I've played so far. The mood, the theme, the challenge.. Super well done! It took me quite a while to beat all levels, but it felt really rewarding when I finally did :) Congrats on your amazing game and I'll be sure to check out some of your previous games as well.

Breach Squad by guoboism 2018-12-07T15:54:56Z

Awesome! I like the lego-3d graphics and the fact you even managed to capture some real life important issues in the game. I played through all levels and even though it did seem like it got more difficult in the final levels, I did finish it all on the first try, so I reckon it could have been made a bit more challenging. Overall a great game and very well done!

Way of the Dodo by chrismcmath 2018-12-07T14:50:35Z

A nice calm and relaxing game :) If you jump at certain corners, it is sometimes a little bit buggy, but the overall clumsiness of these cute little birds was very well captured. Well done!

Don't Panic by doomshmuck 2018-12-07T15:25:16Z

Nice game! It took me a while, but my final score was over 3 million! I kinda disliked the fact that there was no point in not firing, so maybe it's an idea to add a way to punish firing constantly, or make it impossible. Overall, well done :)

Shadow Lands by Mr.MadCat 2018-12-25T01:06:20Z

Very nice game :) Simple but effective idea, and I enjoyed the unexpected boss fight! The music was especially stellar!

Useful Corpses by ryjcio 2018-12-28T01:44:36Z

Oh my god. The last level was insanely difficult! It took me about 45 minutes and over 700 deaths, but I managed to finally beat your game! And I gotta say, I had loads of fun doing it. It's very thematic, original and just fun! Interestingly enough, I had basically the opposite experience that @huvaakoodia had. Everything they thought were bad, I thought were great! Maybe I'm just easy to satistfy when it comes to challenging platformers, but I think you have done an amazing job with this game :) Well done!

Tenoch's Turmoil by evbo 2018-12-30T16:30:58Z

This is really well done! I like the bright graphics, the music is fitting and there is an obvious balance you have to strike between feeding you family and not incurring the wrath of Netzahualcoyotl, which makes it challenging as well. The only point of critique I would have is that the power-ups didn't really feel natural or useful enough. But maybe I just haven't played enough yet to get better at utilising them. But, like I said, that's about the only minor thing that bugged me. Overall I think you guys did a great job :)!

I'll get my parts back, OVERLORD! by SuperRobe 2018-12-07T16:10:47Z

Even though I'm generally not a big fan of bloody games, I did play yours. And I gotta, say, well done! With nice graphics and fitting music, I managed to slay them demons and brought back my own body parts! Aww yeah.

LD44 — Your life is currency

Investicats by Jordgubben 2019-05-09T20:54:37Z

Oh man, lolcats are back! Or at least the way they talk ;) I'm sad to say I got too greedy and died one too many times while having 5 lives in the bank. Oh well, thanks for the game!

Tecuhtliztacuhxochitl's Sacrifice Simulator by almost 2019-05-14T21:10:19Z

ooh, I liked this! Definitely took me some time to figure everything out, but it was totally worth it :) For learning the game it's also very useful that you guys built in a pause option, but once I knew what the game was about and what i was supposed to, I tried to challenge myself and not use the pause button at all. I can tell you, panic was had ;). I also conceptually enjoyed that the game kept going after I finished it, but some victory notification would have been nice of course. Overall this is one of the best games from this Ludum Dare that I've played so far, well done!

Bloodcurse: Recast by muffty 2019-05-09T21:14:18Z

Impressive game! The combination between the turn-based feel of a card game and the real-time aspect of the attack mechanic felt like a very nice touch. My strategy was to pick every 'The World' card I could, because that one seemed really strong to me ;) The graphics are ãwesome too, well done!

Forced To Fight 🤺 by xUMR 2019-05-14T20:40:52Z

Woah, that was surprisingly difficult! I definitely had to restart a few times to get the hang of it. I really enjoyed the simplicity and elegance of this and the music for sure got me in the mood to slay some enemies!

Journey Through the Blood Tribe Lands by Kornel 2019-05-01T08:58:11Z

Oh, well done! I really like the vibe and the music is really fitting. I did feel like the balancing could be tweaked a bit, however. To me it felt like the slash/dash-move was too good, so I almost always used that move to kill people, while hardly ever using the gun. Not only does shooting cost more, but it also leaves you vulnerable, as you can't move out of the way at the same time. So my suggestion would be to either change the costs a bit, or make shooting better in some way, or make shooting more necessary (like having enemies on towers or buildings that you can't reach otherwise). All in all I really enjoyed your game and happily finished it :) My compliments!

Slime Sweeper by Nyamah 2019-05-14T20:31:04Z

I like the basic premise of the game where you have to spend some of your remaining time to progress, and the fact that you managed to program levels being randomly generated is impressive! That being said, it did feel too easy most of the time, which was a bit sad.

Precious is Life by -banzi 2019-05-01T09:34:24Z

Nice game and I liked the graphics :) I totally understand your decision to focus on perfecting the gameplay over adding audio, and I agree. That being said, this is the type of game for me where I would enjoy some background music or audio effects. On the gameplay, I would have liked to be punished for spending blood. For example, maybe I just didn't quite get it, but was there ever a reason to use the small fireball instead of the big one? As others have said, it wasn't superintuitive how to play the game at first, but I did have a good time once I figured it out. And even though I had to restart twice, in the end I did finish your game and claim victory!

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Loop by Papaver 2020-10-07T15:25:55Z

Absolutely wonderful game that I spent quite a few hours with over the past couple of days. For anyone who likes a challenge, try to tie or beat my pbs!

Roundabout Rowdy by Andreas Roschal 2020-10-25T22:32:26Z

Absolutely awesome game! Graphics were really nice and funny (loved the dancing trees!), gameplay was fun, enjoyed the music, and obviously the theming was on point. Yeah, just very very well done :D 122497356_809972319835222_9183411518664420053_n.png

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Safe Cave by Papaver 2021-04-27T13:52:43Z

Great game! Music is thematic and gameplay is very enjoyable :) Will definitely come back to beat this time, but for now this is my best.

LD49 — Unstable

Giruffled by Papaver 2021-10-20T19:19:54Z

Absolutely amazing game by you guys, once again. As always, challenging but very fun gameplay and nice music. I have also been trying to speedrun it for a bit. My best run so far:

For anyone interested, I also have a video :). Anyway, well done you two!

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

The Roads Away by harark 2018-05-15T17:11:01Z

Great game! Especially level 3 is very challenging, and I feel like you get too punished for shooting/shouting/etc (as the red bar fills up fairly quickly). Another thing I would like to mention is that it wasn't quite clear to me what (if any) the benefits were when shouting or demoleculerasing. Overall very good game though, and definitely one of the best I've seen this LD!

Symphonic Mission by PavelDlouhy 2018-05-15T16:01:21Z

Nice idea! Although it would be a bit better, I think, if your spaceship would be a bit further to the left. Now whenever you spot enemies, it's often already to late to try to kill them (especially the greens ones). Another way to possibly improve is if you'd punish the player for trying to shoot off-beat; right now it seems the ideal strategy is just to spam spacebar.

GashaVroom by AidanMarkham 2018-05-07T23:19:30Z

Very impressive game! The graphics are outstanding in my opinion. And nice music as well :) I got the Jet Engine upgrade right away, and that made driving and steering a lot more challenging! I would have like to see a reset button and, ideally, for my PBs to be saved. Lastly, it was a bit counterintuitive that you actually have to drive 4 laps to finish a race, instead of 3. Overall; very well done.

FootBulls by goffmog 2018-05-15T16:38:13Z

Absolutely love this game! Gameplay was fun, the interface is clear and intuitive, and it fits the theme beautifully! Would love to see an even more complete version of this game with more options, animations etc.

Tristakto by ghostmaple 2018-05-15T15:16:58Z

I pretended I was two people and alternatingly played for blue and red and I had quite a bit of fun! Well done :) It is sometimes hard to tell whether the block I'm seeing is the one I'm trying to place down or whether it already is.. Would be nice if there was an easy visual way to tell the difference.

Realm of the Hero ! by Nelios 2018-05-15T16:46:18Z

The graphics of this game are insane! I'm super impressed by how beautiful everything looks. I would have loved to see a bit more gameplay though.

Hats on Clouds by Sibi 2018-05-15T15:47:44Z

It took a few tries to get a feel for the controls and when you bump into something you kinda lose control, but I definitely improved after some attempts! Nice graphis by the way! And I do wonder where the idea of hats on clouds come from ;)

Just Like The Day We Met by Zinkler 2018-05-07T22:42:37Z

Great game! The visual novel part was a bit lacking in my eyes, but I liked the fact there were choices involved that mattered and, as a former starcraft player, i couldn't help but enjoy the RTS part! I would have preferred to be able to box my units instead of having to ctrl+click though. Overall, lovely game; well done :)

Typewriter Dungeon by Jaime Paz Lopes 2018-04-27T16:44:09Z

We enjoyed exploring your dungeon, as well as the sound effects and the music; they set the mood quite well. Well done!

Groovy Beat Shooter by racebennon 2018-05-07T23:38:02Z

I liked the idea, but found it very difficult to actually shoot on the beat. Furthermore it wasn't quite obvious to me whether there was any advantage of timing it well or whether button bashing is actually the optimal strat.

PS. Maybe you should still put in the description that the starting screen is used to calibrate, because I only found out after reading the comments.

1-2-3 Soleil! by ZappedCow 2018-05-07T23:57:33Z

What an amazingly cute game! Made me completely fall in love. The graphics, the sound, the concept; it's all so lovely! Would love to see this in a longer, more challenging game. Please tell your kids they did very well :)
