i was unable to get past level 3 what i did play was fun. I love the theme :D unique and feels

I don't play a lot of platformers, but this was interesting, took me a few attempts to figure out I had to have the right amount of hearts when I reach the goal. Good use of the theme, and I liked the puzzle aspects mixed with a platformer.

Wow super challenging this is really nice.

I like the fact that the game encourages you to "learn" the game via trial and error and it did not feel punishing. I also like the puzzle platformer elements to it. Your choice of special effects is great too. The game may be a bit too abstract for some people - depends on whether you are trying to tell a story or not.

Its very fun and innovative. Well done.

I like the way you teach the game. Minimialistic. Always nice. The levels got challenging pretty quick. Could have been more forgiving. I found it more interesting to figure out the solution than to attempt to execute the solution time and time again.

great platformer, I like how it well thought. it has its own style. good job :)

I think there was too precise platformer for this to work in the puzzle genre. Lots of people playing puzzle games do not want to lose because they didn't time the jump right. They want to feel smart that they figured out the solution. Took me a bit to figure out how to start the game. I actually was expecting it to almost all be a short film. The concept was nice, the music got a little annoying, and I think it needed to lean closer to puzzle than platformer.

This is a very challenging (actually more hard than challenging .. at least for me) puzzle platformer. But it fits the theme very well and is overall a solid entry. Well done!

I disagree with one of the previous comments - I actually really enjoyed the balance between puzzle and platformer that this game has! I have to try to plan out what I'm gonna do for a level, then work at it until I can get the technique down to actually advance. Sometimes my initial plan wouldn't work out, so I had to switch between periods of sitting back trying to plan out a route and making run attempts to test out my ideas.

The aesthetic of this game is also really cool! I absolutely love the art style :)

Fun game, although the platforming is a bit too twitchy for my liking. Between knowing the puzzle solution and actually being able to finish the level, it takes a bit too long for me. I got to the fifth or sixth level, there it really became too twitchy and precise for my liking, especially since the game doesn't do in-level checkpoints.

Still, the main mechanic is really fun, having to figure out with how many lives to finish, and thus where to get damaged.

dock-frankenstein 2018-12-24 11:30

Great idea. Keep it up!

macro 2018-12-24 13:14

Really clever use of mechanics and level design here. Although it was a little bit punishing for me. I would rather it being focused in the puzzles part than the platforming. The visuals add a lot to it. Great job overall!

This is simply the best game I've played so far. The mood, the theme, the challenge.. Super well done! It took me quite a while to beat all levels, but it felt really rewarding when I finally did :) Congrats on your amazing game and I'll be sure to check out some of your previous games as well.

static-ddq 2018-12-24 17:44

this can really be a cool meta game. I like the implementation of the theme by having the playing taking damage to progress while also not taking too much to add a level of difficulty. Really cool!

papaver 2018-12-25 00:53

Great entry, good take on the theme! Like many people, it took me a while to figure out what I was supposed to do. I found it a bit hard remembering how many hearts the different spikes take. I like the audio and the visual0 distortions. Well done!

hao-tian 2018-12-26 00:17

The theme and the gameplay experience do well correspond to the "Sacrifices must be made". However, despite many players might know the WASD and Space controlling, I still think you should add some tutorial elements at the beginning of the game.

Overall, it is a very interesting game, well done!

Yikes, this is very difficult puzzle platformer. There are a lot of red-herrings in the game, and it really required a lot of careful planning and numerous practice to get to the end. I gave up around level 6 or 7, since it required getting the jump controls perfect, and I just became exhausted with it.

To be honest, I actually like the game, especially in it requiring the perfect number of hearts at the very end. That said, I don't have quite the tolerance to deal with its difficulty. Would have appreciated a lenient level-select screen to skip over levels I couldn't beat.

ded 2018-12-26 21:31

I <3 the graphics and main idea, one of the few really clever uses of theme I played, but the game requires too precise jumps, sadly I got frustrated pretty soon and didn't finish

lastleaf 2018-12-30 04:38

I have not rated this game yet, because I cannot pass lv 4 and I think it is not passable. Is there any bug or hint?
