Cool game! I love how clean and consistent the art style is. The different types of shots were fun to play with. The music was also nice and fitting.

The sound effects and the background music are fantastic – you're so talented!!! I love it when the background music fades out completely, you forget about it, and then it comes back.
The graphics are fantastic as well. Everything looks beautiful. I gasped when I saw the vegetation in the background of the itch.io page match the vegetation in the game (visual continuation). I wonder if there is an alternative design for the souls that looks more like souls. That would make it feel more on theme.
I only played one game, however I can see myself playing it again in the future. Congrats for such a nice game, and thank you for sharing!! 👏
How can we stay in touch with your work, and/or reach out to you if needed?

Really nice game, it reminds me a bit of the game peggle. I like the sound effect !
Very well done game.
This is a really cool game, I'll like the idea, this game is relaxing. cool!!
Nice and chill, I'd like to try again and see how high of a score I can get.
Very addictive gameplay. It would be very good on mobile. Artstyle btw is also very cool!
My favorite so far! Love it! chazm.png

New world record!

This is such a finely polished game. Everyone from the gameplay, the pixel graphics, and the BGM/sfx, everything was great and fits really well with one another. It's such a simple concept for a game but absolutely flawless in execution. Congratulations!
Here's my highscore so far. Will definitely come back and play again haha.

What a nice game ✨
I loved the overall presentation, and the core gameplay is super intuitive. The different balls have interesting effects, and the difficulty progression is perfect.
Awesome job, impressive for a solo made game.
Great game! Felt a bit too easy to go infinite but not an issue for a jam game. Had a lot of fun with it, I'd love to play a more developed version of this - could perhaps be turned into a roguelike? Fantastic work!

Fun mechanic! I wish the special balls were a bit cheaper so they could be used more.

My favorite art of the jam so far, a lot of strong personality in the sprites! Game generally plays well though I wish it were possible to angle the shot, not just choose where it's coming from.
One game-breaking but probably rare bug - Shatter Bogey can potentially get stuck in infinite bounce patterns, so might want to add a timer to him.
infinitebounce.PNG He's been at this for like 20 minutes now.
Great work!
This is the best I have played so far! It doesn't even look like a Jam work! In terms of art and game mechanics, it is already a complete mini game!

I think if I practice again, I can score higher! I want to download the Windows version! I want to exceed his score! @bad-fetus
Satisfying graphics and sound effects!
As someone who used to play peggle a lot when I was younger, I absolutely loved this. Great graphics, satisfying sounds, and really fitting music. Great game!
@recursiveanomaly @osheanoush @hobbystoreronin @mmm1008fm @rincs @godknows @bananplyte @skullpaca @doot @bad-fetus @gaverion @codeman1010 @rekiem @magik8bal thank you very much all for your feedback, it's heartwarming!
@dasilvacontin thank you so much for this feedback! you can join me on the LD discord, i have the same username :)
@kuviman @javid-ladhani @yellow thanks for playing and posting your highscores. unfortunately i scored a 2428 yesterday, so you have a new goal now ;)
@monika oh no hahaha i knew it COULD happen, but i'm surprised it actually did happen!
The concept is really fun. I played multiple times, it was great.
Superbe jeu, j'aime la simplicité du gameplay, qui permet beaucoup de stratégies différentes. Bravo à toi ;)
Round Peggle! I think the idea is cool, something cool could be a spell that allows you to act like a peddle and knock a ball back once or twice. All in all a cool idea well executed.
Fun game! Easy to learn and quite addictive, though it feels for me there's not a lot of progression during gameplay - but that feeling may be because of the length I'd been playing the game.
I've encountered a bug where some rocks weren't breakable by the Torpedo Imp - It flew right through, though I don't complain much, as they didn't break the gameplay or anything, and Toxic Fiend was able to destroy them if that was needed!

A surprisingly deep game, I was constantly learning and getting a better feel for what was and wasn’t possible. I’m not sure that the more expensive powers were worth it, but I really love the push and pull of the rocks mechanic, where it’s both good and bad to have!

Fun game! I'm impressed you managed to make the power ups so balanced. You can't just use the more expensive option because it's better, you need to make sure that you will get more out of it. The music is really good, as well as the sound effects increasing as you get a higher multiplier. Just a really solid and fun arcade game. Great job!
Awesome! I loved it, Pachinko FTW. super satisfying good polish strong entry.
Thanks for submitting your game to the stream! If you wanted to watch it again in the future heres the vod of the stream (with a chapter for your game)

And I'm the host for the ludum dare score chasers tournament this Ludum Dare. Wanted to ask if youre fine if I put some gameplay of the game in an intermission video. Last year for reference:

new WR. :)
That was strangely addictive, pretty cool to play while listening to something so that was perfect on stream :D
In Main menu mouse movement was a bit "drunken", but in game itself I didn't have any problems with controls.
I love the art of ball types, it's really cute, and different types were interesting and different enough, providing effects that all can be useful in different situations. My favourite is 20p ball, both by badass design and effect :)
I had fun playing and even got a semi decent score, I think ^-^
peggle.jpg
Simple but addictive gameplay. The polish is very good, it look like a complete mobile/web game.
Nothing to criticize really. Except maybe the "juice" that is not bad but could be better. This is the kind of game really benefit from being very juicy.
Great game! it reminded me a little bit of peggle, with a little bit more of content i can see this as a legit timewaster :D
Fun game!
It felt very satisfying to get a long streak of hits with those hit sfx!
I do have one bug that I don't think has been reported yet. If I press and hold one of the 2-4 keys, I am able to summon any demon without having enough points to do so. For example, I got 16 points, I press and hold 2 and click and I can summon a torpedo imp. The game just deducts 5 points, which I guess takes the price from the currently selected demon before holding the 2 key. It's not 100% consistent, sometimes I have to spam click a little, but it's very consistent. I hope this helps!
Other than that, I had a lot of fun playing, and I can see a lot of ways you can expand this game!
@julienlussiez @francois-dervaux @justcamh @sheepolution @saryah @ategon @kanity @thetatautau @andreadbx thank you all for your feedback! also thanks to the ones who have played it on stream! your comments are highly valuable to me!
@andidebob thanks for the idea! if ever i work on a post-jam, i think i'll implement that!
@macron @redoxeide cool thank you for finding bugs! i don't understand why the torpedo imp sometimes doesn't destroy some rocks, that's strange. i was aware of the bug that makes it possible to throw a ball even when you don't have enough souls to buy it, actually i think it's @saryah who found it on a stram! argh
@bad-fetus bad news for you, a friend has played Chazm yesterday and got 11667, so new new WR haha
Great little game with what feels like immense potential! Would love to see this out in the wild postjam. Incredible job for a solo jam game <3
Wow! Amazing stuff, really goes to show how less is more. Such a simple concept, yet it's really addicting and fun to play! :D
Screenshot 2024-04-26 215714.png
As above, less is more can create some interesting puzzles. I would have liked to have seen less clumping together of balls as it generally leaves more space and suspense for bouncing around. I also feel as if the bigger balls spawn too often, but this could just be a skill issue. A fun little game :)
This was a fun game! Felt like Peggle but circular. Felt like there could be a way to reduce clumping, as the basic shot was sometimes just not useful - but honestly this is so cool. I'll definitely play this another time if I'm bored!!
Really Enjoy Chazm! The gameplay is simple and addictive, I understand the peggle comparisons, but I really like the morphing playfield and how a sure shot can reflect about creating a whole other setup next shot! I dig it! all round Great Work!
So incredibly well done. I am severely impressed.

Well, I guess I must stop now, if I don't I'll yet be there tomorrow :joy: Good job! capture_CHAZM.png
@digitaliliad @gabrimer @ungarblapp @jerem-watts thank you very much for your feedback!
@hexy @gustav-erlangsen thanks for your feedback too, and for pointing out the clumping being annoying sometimes!
@lereveur i'm speechless! how much time did it take?
Honestly I didn't look at time, but much more than an hour, for sure. I was absorbed by finding how to get most of the stones "around" the area, and other things to maximize bounces (and so, the score)
