What a fun shooter, I am sad that my score was not submitted and I gotta say that I am a bit disappointed by the fact that the british tractor did not speak with an accent or overly posh. All in all this is a solid little game, but I think the ammo on the weapons is either to low for how "weak" they feel, or they just need to be stronger. The mechanic of opening up different areas with the currency is cool, but I mostly found myself growing health and then running from one health spot to the next, because the most effective weapon was the scythe, so I also constantly took damage. The pathing around the hill is a bit broken for the lawnmowers, so they are no threat once you go a bit up the slope. Oh and also the tractors kept spawning in the maze for me and then just kinda floating in the air without moving, don't know what's that about.

As I said all in all a very solid game that could be super fun with a bit of balancing and some polish.

@andidebob Thanks for the great feedback! We'll get that AI tightened up. Sorry for the confusion on the leaderboard, it doesn't properly refresh to show your new score when you die, but your score was properly submitted! You are currently sitting at 3rd place (behind 2 devs who already have a bunch of practice :p) good work! Wave 34 is no joke.

Dumb ass corn, i love this game, love the voice acting, the artstyle, and the gameplay idea, but i'd say there should be multiple farming spots, so that the progression is faster, or make the waves get stronger slower, since it's really hard to explore a lot having to go all the way back to your single farming spot, making me unable to go any further than than unlocking 2 places, i unlocked the sewers with the dash boots, i think it would be nicer if it was quicker to get money, or if there were more plant spots so you don't need to back track so much

This is a a very angry corn, where is my scythe?? Love the graphics, it reminds me of the good old PC games. Took me a bit to get used how far the reach of my weapon is and when the enemies spawn. Sadly i died before i could get enough money to unlock more gates, i'm curious what lies behind! (Also, the popped kernels? Love them!)

I always love the personality of this group's games. Instant fun. Nice choice on the graphics! A healthy dose of nostalgia gives it an instant boost.

I really had to play with the scythe to figure out its range, but I had a much more successful second run. I love the concept of balancing your upgrades by harvesting a plant, and then unlocking multiple areas to progress the game. Great job!

How was the 'Extra' experience?

Huge fan visuals and the voices and music where fun. The level design was great and interesting. I liked the idea behind growing your currency, health and ammo in box's but I felt that it was to slow with not enough pay off. I got frustrated with how the progression felt slow and with how the combat felt. Seeing as the combat seems chaotic perhaps to work with that it would be nice to have enemies drop small boost for the player often like a little bit of health more damage or an armor recharge. To add to the combat also maybe some more focus on priority targeting for the different enemies like going for targets that drop more boost's or weak ones that do more damage.

Hey @hawkin, Extra was fun but also a lot. Several of us couldn't do the actual weekend which is why we tried this out. It's nice to have the extra time but at the same time it's hard to have LD consume your life for more than just three days. My partner was not happy that this was longer than a weekend lol. Definitely worth trying though!

We've also really really enjoyed using Godot for this instead of Unity. So check that out if you're curious.
