Very creative take on the tetris idea. I just jumped right in so it took a second to figure out what the colors were but i think i kind of got it after a bit. Was fun to kind of strategize. got kind of hard when the blocks still took up space after disappearing, but i guess that's true to tetris.

Cool game with interesting mechanics, especially the experimental mode :)

Quite original. Could use more types of matters to add depth, though. Right now tactics sem to mostly just keep fire to one side of the bin and pour water there too.

@baturinsky Try the experimental mode! They're ... somewhat unbalanced, so I didn't include them by default.

Very cool concept!! Took me a while to figure what the colors mean (it did not occur to me that the red is fire and i can use water), however after that it was fun. As others said, it need bit more place to strategize. Nonetheless, one of my favourites, good job!

Original concept with a solid realisation. well done!

Love Tetris, and love the falling sand game, an excellent mash up of the two, well done!

My record was 46 tall and 19 growing. Nice music, it really added to the mood.

I didn't know the falling sand game. Its concept is very interesting and perfectly suited to the theme... With the addition of tetris, I find the interaction between the physical and biological engines very funny.

Cool idea, at first I didn't know what I was doing lol

Really unique game! It took me a while to figure out how to play it though. Even with the help section. Great work! :)

Super neat idea!

The music added a ton of atmosphere to the game. Simple, short, haunting, but didn't get annoying while looping which can be a challenge to nail down. The physics for the blocks was solid and fun to mess with. The idea of the game was novel, I am a sucker for any good twists on popular game mechanics. Took me awhile to get the hang of things, but I eventually did. The one thing that wasn't clear to me was the gray particles? I didn't see them explained in the help section but I could've totally overlooked it. The squirming particles (the lava/water looked kinda squirmy to me) meshed well with the music to make the mood a bit ominous which I dig. Solid contribution to the jam!

Very interesting take on a classic game. I loved watching my plants grow towards the top of the screen and watching my plant shrivel and die when hit with the red stuff definitely made me feel sadness that I had failed my plant.

I enjoyed it. Tetromino inertia felt slightly too strong and I could discard all red blocks by throwing them off screen and locking them (I see you fixed it in the post-compo version, though). Also I don't know if there's a hidden time limit or another loss condition, but I lost twice out of nowhere. I also didn't understand when and why the old tetrominos are supposed to disappear. And finally, you really should spend some time on optimization because I had 30-50 fps.

Those are all my concerns; I hope they'll help you improve the game. I really loved the idea and overall execution.

Nice one! Those games were fun on their own and now that they are in the same, it's better. Great game! Some bugs tho...

I really liked this game. The mashup of a life game and the tetris controls work really well, although the lack of rigid rotation made the Tetris elements of the game feel a bit pointless at times. Other than that though the game is simple to learn and fun to play, great job!

A very cool take on the theme and on tetris itself. The graphics are very minimalistic, but fit together well. I honestly do not have anything to complain about here nor do I have any real suggestions. All in all this is super cool! Well Done!

Huh. I like the way you changed tetris. Neat game! I ran into a few problems in my playthrough, such as flying upwards too high, and not coming back down, or smashing my piece too quickly into the ground and it's shifting around infinitely, stuck, and never settling... but I had fun with the game! Great job.
