solid entry, very polished!

Loved the game feel, could literally sit here and play for a while just running around and spider man swinging. Very fun! Great asset usage

Pomo you have out done yourself this is insanely fun ^^

proof I was once first, don't ask the score..

Amazing environment! The controls were a bit slippery and I feel like having to wait on the grapple hook is limiting in terms of potential movement but in any case, for a jam game, outstanding.

jcmonkey 2023-05-02 18:44

the game was fun to move around with, but there was way too much clutter all around and i didnt have enough room to just open up and fly. during the timed runs i was always running into cars or things, and the hook shot thing didnt always want to grab onto things. but overall was fun to play.

cheesepencil 2023-05-03 00:32

cool stuff as always pomo!

nuin 2023-05-03 00:58

felt janky at first, but the more I played it started to feel really satisfying to play, just wish there was a reset button

cobear25 2023-05-03 03:23

Very cool game. It's not always smooth moving around, maybe a bit too much to bump into, but getting this all put together is super impressive.

rincs 2023-05-03 03:23

I'm definitely going to go in and just explore the city for a bit hehehe.

I'll enjoy my brief stint having a score higher than Kepsert's for a little bit. xD

great game as allways from Pomo thanks for sharing this! will definitly beat your scores

ausstein 2023-05-03 20:36

POMO!

I love this!!!

Your best so far IMHO

I'll grind this a lot I think.

My highscore run was pretty early with a lot of good rng, since then I have gotten so much better at the movement (it feels truly fantastic), but not such RNG again...

Massive fun. Skate physics on point, grappling took a few rounds to get used to but is very solid and versatile, soundtrack is fantastic, graphics look nice, online leaderboards make you want to get gut. Absolute masterpiece, one of my favorites this jam.

So far a personal high score of 7. 8 feels within reach for me but I'll need to try several more times. The game looks and feels pretty great. This is one of those games when I see others play, it looks epic but when I'm playing I'm so laser focused I'm not paying attention how cool it looks. It feels like some randomness to the game with the package bouncing around and getting caught on things, but that's not totally a negative for the game. The random bounces adds some extra stress and feel to the game and playing it a few times you start to get a feel for where they spawn locations are so I you can tackle them slightly better than just brute force dragging. Though when a package gets stuck, I cry. Of course needs all the things you don't have time for in a jam: saved highscore user name, a way to get back to title screen, etc. But otherwise I can't think of any suggestions to make it better, already fun. I'm sure there could be a few tweaks to the controls to make it feel a little more smoother, but they are pretty impressive for a jam game.

jitspoe 2023-05-04 00:41

Managed to get 7. Really fun game. There are obviously some little quality of life things like making it easier to garb packages, reducing camera jerkyness, reducing packages getting stuck, etc., but that's way out of the scope of a game jam. The concept is really solid and fun!

alanxoc3 2023-05-04 01:05

Too bad this game wasn't made in PICO-8 :slight_frown:

The controls are a bit janky, but that's what you'd expect from a physics based game. I am wondering if not having the packages collide once you pick them up might make the game feel a bit better, also having a bit more generous collision boxes for certain object might be cool, so you don't get stuck behind fences and stuff. Other than that a super solid game as always, was a lot of fun and I am happy with my score!

Really fun, movement was really interesting, grapple felt a bit short and the hoverboard was a bit slippery, but still excellent!

little-doctor-games 2023-05-04 20:50

I spent like fifteen minutes just zooming and zipping around before I remembered that there's a game baked into the thing. The audio/visual presentation is so well done, movement feels great, it's impressive that this is a jam game. So sick

Edit: here's the vod from my stream!

#### Edit: got some practice :smirk: Pomo High Score.png

Turns out having a better framerate when OBS isn't running really helps

tricky-fat-cat 2023-05-05 17:29

Yet again a decent arcade game. My main criticism is that the level doesn't work well with movement you adjusted. It feels much smaller than it really should be for such high speed. In addition, a lot of small objects has collisions with the player and packages, as a result it's hard to navigate through the level because of them. But still, it's fun experience.

cleoh 2023-05-05 23:35

It's incredibly fun to fling yourself in the air like spiderman, grab a package while falling, and rush to the delivery point while it bounces everywhere. I would dig a game like that with a bunch of different levels like a trackmania campaign!

honest-dan 2023-05-06 21:30

You did good! another challenging high score attack game that the community will enjoy I'm sure. I struggled a bit with controlling the board and aiming, but a lot of that is down to my inability :D items getting caught on props around the map sometimes caused frustration, but made sense mechanically.

raptor851 2023-05-07 04:57

I enjoyed it! camera was a bit iffy, didn't always obey, and the movement didn't seem to always re-orient properly so I was constantly getting stuck, but it was still fun. Why is the mouse cursor so big though
