I really like the art and the 10 second upgrades are a very nice system for the theme. Sometimes I feel like when I'm clicking (directly on enemies? at a certain angle?) my attacks aren't happening, the little sprite swings his scythe but no slash happens.

Art looks great! I like getting upgrades every 10 seconds, but my attacks feel like they aren't doing much. Maybe give the player more initial damage or make it clearer that the enemies are being hit. Nice work with the upgrades!

Good game...attacking feels really meh even with beating on the mouse button. Good entry.

Cute little game! I like the upgrade system a lot! This could be so much fun with a bunch of content and secrets to find, like in Vampire Survivors. Awesome job!!

Pretty cool, really liked the system of upgrading weapons at the cost of also upgrading enemies.

If you continue to develop - it'd be cool for the character to do some different moves with the scythe. Just to keep it fresh, and maybe some kickback/shake for those critical hits. 005.jpg

Definitely a fan of the upgrade system. Good work!

It seems the game is never ending if you just select damage upgrades and no bonus hp for monsters. I kill them in one hit and almost never get hurt. I think you should try to invest more time in sfx, just a death and slash SFX would bring a lot of juice to your game. And the tiny reaper is very cute ! hiscore.png

Very fun game and nice concept! As others said, it was a bit too easy when you prioritize damage upgrades, I don't know if it would ever end. So there should certainly be a higher scaling for the monsters. Maybe so that it's near impossible to survive around 10 minutes and have it get there gradually every 10 seconds. Besides, the way monsters attack feels a bit awkward, as they'll instantly hit you at a certain distance, but not so close that you'd touch them. So I think maybe a visible delay before the actual attack would have been nice! But these are just balance things and I can totally see the vision of your game - and it's great! It does look very good, I love the sprites and the slash effect (although it's very stiff once you get more mobile). All in all this is a really good game considering the time you had for it. Well done! :)

really like the art style in this game and the upgrade system where you get something but so does the enemy was a stroke of genius

I like the sprites. I wish there was an alternate way to hit enemies, it gets really tiring on the wrist to click so much.

A cute little game with a fun idea of giving you buffs and debuffs at the same time. One thing I would like differently is that you as a player should always be given 3 different options for your buffs, since I assume the debuffs are randomly chosen. And maybe there should be some kind of logic behind which buff can come with what debuff, because a damage buff by 20% doesn't work that nicely with a 40% health increase of the enemies.

Loved the twist in the upgrades, even thou it took me a while to realize both were applying. The player hitbox was a little to big for my taste but besides that very fun wave game. Kudos!!
