Sorry, I don't have Windows, I can't play your game.
@juice-lizard We've uploaded a web version if you would still like to give it a try. :)
@prodigalson Great! I just try it. It is very fun. Things goes hard when fire burns. I managed to save one sheep at last.
really cool idea!
I didn't realise until well into my second attempt that you could right-click to rain water, so the first time I played I set fire to everything and felt a little cheated that I could do nothing to stop it spreading. A little prompt or popup might be helpful. I did make it through the second attempt though, and the reason I stuck with it is that this game is hilarious. I love all the dumb noises the sheep make, and if there was a category for best title then this would (should) win. Thanks!
A pretty fun juggling act. At first, because I apparently controlled a cloud and assumed water was my domain, I was very confused when I set *everything* on fire. But I learned my lesson quick. I kind of figure that a lightning strike would make more sense thematically. The noise that dying wolves make is just a straight up sex-moan, I am sure. I'm glad I played this on my headset or my neighbors would surely begin some gossip.
After the initial fire incident, none of my sheep died and I eventually finished the round with 8 sheep rescued. The graphics are solid, everything is well designed. I really appreciate the bustling bushes that telegraph the wolves coming in. But playing it twice without casualties, I feel maybe it could have been a little more challenging.
All in all, a pretty solid entry. Good work!
lots of fun. I like how you squeezed all that gameplay from rain and fire. Well done!
Cute,
a small timer that began to get louder at the end would make the ending transition less sudden from game to results. Nice Jam game with a unique take on the theme.
Really funny game ! Easy but efficient gameplay. I enjoyed playing it !
Absolutely fantastic game! On all fronts, this game knocks it out of the park * Fun: The controls are a blast and super easy to pick up (albeit difficult on my trackpad but that's not your fault  ) * Innovation: Tons of cool and unexpected elements here. I was shocked and delighted to see that lightning not only killed wolves, but also started brush fires and lit your sheep as well. By the end of the game my entire field was ablaze * Theme: Great take * Graphics: Cute 3D models consistent with the 2D art on the title screen and on the background of your entry page. Hard to believe this was all done in one jam * Audio, Humor, Mood: Upbeat barnyard music juxtaposed with the bleating of your panicked flaming sheep running around is hilarious and perfect
Congrats on completing such an awesome game and thank you for sharing!
Fun game to play. It's easy to get started. And even though the player has 2 actions (rain & thunder), they bring many gameplay interactions.
Lovely short game. The cute graphics and sound make it happy and enjoyable. Maybe it was my fault for not reading the controls you've posted here but it would be nice for the game to tell you that you can also right click to rain water. Good job!
fun litle game but it likes to lag a lot
Really cool game!
Loving the mood and feel of the game, also the bushes moving where the wolves are coming from is a nice touch! The game is a bit slow and too easy for me, unless you miss click and then fire happens and you basically lost :( might need a little bit of tweaking on that!
Congrats to the team, still a very nice entry!
Very nice and funny game. Playing through the first time felt really challenging to keep the sheep alive. Although I maaaaay have found a cheese the next time I tried. cloudy pain.png
Perfect, love it! :D I did the music for a game to so i have a special eye on that and i loved it! Super cool Jesse! :D
@Pyrotrap Yes! We found that and left it in on purpose hoping someone would find it :) You are the first, haha.
This was fun, I realised a bit that I had to water the plants and such. Survived with 2 sheep which is pretty pog.
i like the concept, the music is fun and sound design funny :)
Hey there, I really like what you did with this game. MY favorite part is the sound effects. I thought they were really funny. I thought it was really fun trying to balance the fire from the lighting with the water from the water. When I first played my dumb sheep died right away because I didn't know that the lighting would make fire. It was pretty funny. You could have a different kind of wolf. Maybe it only goes after certain sheep, but it could be bigger than the other wolves and it would take more than one hit to kill it. Well this was a fun game and I think you guys did great on it. Good Work!
I'm on a Mac so unfortunately I wasn't able to get the rain action to work - maybe you could have the game listen for shift or control click too? (In any case I was able to get a sense of the game from watching marcmagus's stream though, so no worries!). It's funny and looks well balanced!
@shawn-moore that's a great suggestion. I'll add that soon to ensure others don't have that problem. Thanks for playing :)
I love the theme of the game! My aunt owns sheep so I can vouch for how dumb they are. The sounds added to the charm of the game, I also loved the challenge of multitasking. The game mechanics and controls were easy to pick up. Super cool!
Very nice game. I love it! The gameplay is so much fun. Took me a few tries until I got it, but once I learned it, I was able to save all the sheeps. The mechanics are great and really well balanced. Also the sounds the sheep make are hilarious  "mehhhh (I'm dead)"
What are these sounds XD Really fun game, with cute graphics and music, I can't say anything bad about it, solid 5.
Flood the fields. Soak those woolly boys. And DO NOT miss the wolves. That's the gamer move. Amazing music.
Played on stream: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/600003846
@shawn-moore We've added the using (crt, shift, or cmd) to convert left clicks into right clicks. Thanks for the recommendation
Great game! Perhaps it would've been a little bit less confusing if you put the control scheme or a quick guide in the game somewhere because i missed the text on the LD page. Perhaps powerups or different levels would be good but i understand the time crunch doesn't allow for bigger scale stuff sometimes. :D
@blue-pin-studio We do have a little image on top-right of the game screen that shows the controls but I understand that it could be more clear. Thanks for playing!
Short and sweet! Not sure i agree with the sheep being dumb, but that's just me! I enjoyed it!
Very nice game! Sorry that I played the wrong version tho lol, Here's my playthrough of it: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/600651092
Love the game! 5 of 5!!! Sheep models are 6 of 5! ^^
@prodigalson amazing!! it works beautifully now. thank you! :D
Really amazing entry! Thanks for bringing it by the stream!
Great entry! I liked the way you could create problems for yourself if you were careless as the cloud, causing fires etc. Overall, I would say the whole game was pretty solid. I wonder how you would expand on it to create some variability for longer play sessions. I found the game a little bit easy, as my strategy never really had to deviate from simply watering all of the corresponding spots while keeping my eye out for wolves. I had a fun time with what I played, though :) Thanks for the game!
Okay, I'm not going to exaggerate, this is the best game I've played so far.
I always want to focus on negative feedback because I think it's the most helpful, but I'm having trouble finding how to criticize this. I love the art style, the music was great, sound was absolutely hilarios, UI was good, gameplay was very intuitive and needed almost no explaination, even more complex mechanics like lightning striking the puddles and fire damage were easily learned while playing.
It'll just throw out a random idea... what if after a while there'll be a random wolf come out dressed as a sheep, the "wolf in sheep's clothing" to throw players off who are used to looking for white sheep and black wolves? Just a suggestion, the game is still great as-is.
@shaolin-dave I love it! Thanks for playing :D

Pretty fun little game! I liked the different interactions you came up with between water and lightning. One additional use for lightning would have been really cool too, since water has more uses. But overall, I think it's really well thought out and looks and plays great!
FYI I downloaded your source and tried to make a Mac port for you, but testing in editor is extremely buggy. Is the source uploaded the most recent? Uploading it as a .unitypackage might be better. If I successfully port it I'll let you know.
@shaolin-dave The crash fixes are in the second branch but I did merge them into master a few minutes ago.
Awesome, great gameplay which I found to be very sophisticated. Loved the audio, both music and sfx. The art had a great look. All round great job well done peepz!

@fatsheep - lol, nothing to do with your user handled I'm sure :D
I'll be making time this weekend to get through all the games we haven't played yet. We are looking forward to playing ya'lls
@jofish Thanks for the suggestions. Definitely some sort of player guidance at the start through gameplay is helpful. Thanks for playing
@flaterectomy Since the game is so short and quick to reset we thought it would be better to let players experience the game and discover on their own without hopefully making it impossible to figure out. Looks like we succeeded somewhat. Thanks for playing and the feedback.
@zeggamer I agree. We wanted to add something to indicate the game had ended, I was thinking of the sheeps dancing, but we realize we didn't have anything prepare about and hour before the jam ended so it will have to be on a future release. :) Thanks for playing.
@joe-cowman Thank you for taking the time to point out all the things that stood out to you especially since we spend the first two days of the jam making sure that the mechanics of the cloud all made sense before we added a single wolf. Thanks for playing
@rolodophone Thank you for your feedback which let us to include a small in game UI sprite that indicates which button performs which actions. Thanks for playing
@toffanim thanks for sharing your experience. For the jam we wanted to focus more on the silly aspect of the game and letting you be creative with your powers so the balancing came as an after thought to be honest. :) We have room for improvement there for sure. Thanks for playing!
@thecrancher Glad you enjoyed it! We did have plans for more types of wolves but we didn't consider having a wolf that targets a certain sheep which means we would need different types of sheeps too. Thanks for the suggestion and for playig. :D
@jake-marks, @mateusboga Thanks for playing and streaming the game
@adamcyounis Sounds like you found a comfortable strategy that still allowed you to have fun which is what we were going for this prototype. Giving the player multiple ways to go about keeping them alive. Thanks for playing
@arden Thanks for posting your results! We meant to add a message to encourage all to do the same to see if we manage to create a game balanced enough that most could win without it being too hectic. Thanks for playing
@sassykeys Thanks!
I mention this in my previous post but wanted to post here so that it is understood. I aim to make time to play and rate all of the games we haven't been able to get to and thank you again for playing and commenting.
You absolutely nailed the controls (though what I loved, ctrl/shift+LMB, seems to be post-jam). Only two buttons, no bs, straight to the point gameplay. It's a perfect jam entry in this regard.
Graphics are nice and consisents and sound design is one of the best in this event. My only concern is that fire seems to spread too fast, but maybe it's just me.
@alaah thank you for your honest feedback and for playing. We need to work on balancing the game more and this type of feedback helps us to know how. Thanks for playing
Here's that Mac version: https://www.dropbox.com/s/f5q6voectl3zp50/CloudyWithAChanceOfPain.dmg?dl=0
Hello! Your game was played during my stream!

@ursagames thanks for streaming it :)
This is one of my favorites in the jam category. Y'all did pretty much everything right, I don't have much to criticize. Well done.
Based my feedback off of the gameplay video:
This game is super cute! All around it's super cute and appears quite well executed. I can't comment on how clear controls are or the learning curve, but assuming you've learned them it looks like the challenge ramps up nicely, in a wacky "punish you for your mistakes" kind of way while also making it harder for the player to *not* make mistakes.
My primary criticism is around the audio & graphics. Namely: the graphics are very simplistic, and certain animations such as the wolf attack animation seem disjointed, as well as lack certain visual feedback for what's actually happening. I don't know if a wolf bite is a 1-shot kill on a sheep, but some kind of additional visual or audio cue indicating that a sheep has been bitten (and is about to be bitten) by the wolf would help, especially as a sheep can travel a fair distance away from a wolf by the time the wolf's animation is finished. My experience working around accessibility is that you should do your best to have distinct visual & audio cues whenever something deserving of feedback is occurring, and something like an attack windup that you need to respond to before it finishes is one of those things. Otherwise a player will be left confused about why they lost. I didn't even notice the wolf that killed a sheep in the gameplay video, instead looking at a different wolf winding up an attack. I get that it's a part of the game, but some visual stimulation to make it more clear what the player is dealing with helps reduce their frustration. Feeling like they lost fair-and-square is always better than going "how was I supposed to even see that!?!?!?"
The audio was rich, in that there's a lot of audio going on between the cloud, wolves, sheep walking around, and the music, but a lot of the sounds come across as the same, or very similar. They all seem to fill around the same frequencies. It's worth trying to vary the frequencies a little more, such as having the thunder sound use more bass, the rain more hi-hats & rim hits (along with a pitter-patter pattern to discern the rhythm), and wolves... well honestly the wolf sounds are perfect and would be better with the variety of the other sounds. Other than that, the music is quite loud, making the sounds of the game harder to hear. The music definitely helps with the mood, but it shouldn't impede gameplay. I assume the volume's adjustable though, so I'm not considering it in the ratings.
Overall, awesome job! Definitely an above average game, and the reason I'm harping on these finer details is because you're a team of 4, and therefore with your individual roles you can afford to focus more on each of your crafts.
Very amusing! Loved the sound effects haha. The difficulty ramps up well as the game goes on. Having the sound effects forecast the wolves coming was a great idea - gave you a chance to look out for them. Well done!
Really fun, game I love it, clearly a lot of thought went into the game design. It's two simple controls that form multiple intuitive interactions and there are tons of subtle choices most players probably wouldn't consciously notice, but are there. Like the wolf sfx playing a second before the wave of attacks, the rustling of the bushes to warn the position of the wolves. The graphics are simple but consistent, which IMO is way more important for the overall look.
Inventive use of controls and I love the idea of a benevolent cloud protecting its kind.
Super fun! I loved all the interactions between water and lightning. Super cute I almost feel bad killing the wolves haha
Interactions make sense, aiming feels spot-on, fire and wolves make everything really frantic, cute looks and awesome voice acting. Good job!
We streamed this last night and almost immediately caught fire to everything!! It was great fun, a really good job all around. I think it could use a little progression in some way. Maybe not just wolves that come for the sheep, or maybe the weather gets windy or something. Great job!
This is a really solid entry to the jam, and a really fun one too. You hit exactly my type of humor from the sound effects and voiceover to the sheep flopping over when they die. Very well done. I wish there was some more challenge to the whole thing, different enemies or conditions maybe, but what can you do in 72 hours right? Really well done!
I laughed so hard playing this! It's super fun, one of my favorite entries! The graphics and audio were super good as well, but the fact that it's so funny is what makes it so good.
This is the most amusing game I've played so far! Had a great overall vibe and it was fun to fry wolves with lightening bolts.
@cheesepencil Thanks for playing! Glad you liked it
@jesterseraph Hope you give it a go later but thanks for giving it attention now and for your feedback. The reality is that only there was only ever 2 dedicated/actively individuals working on the game while the other 1 provide music towards the end of the jam and the last one the wolf/sheep models & animations exclusively and nothing more, but I can see your point of view.
@mharring Glad you had fun with it and thanks for playing.
@izzo Thank you for calling out all those details. We spend the majority of the jam programming those in to ensure the feedback was solid and gave players a clear understanding as to what was happening. Thanks for playing
@jon-arvin-medalla Sweet. thanks for playing
@matthewi I hear ya, I myself contemplated a few times whether my actions were justified of if I was disrupting the circle of life ;) lol Thanks for playing
@nocity We tried something new with the voice and it seems to have worked. Thanks for playing
@max-louis Thanks for streaming the game and the suggestions. Thanks for playing
@andidebob Right and so we were very deliberate in making a short but hopefully memorable experience. Thanks for playing :D
@perpetuummobile Happy we made you laugh. That was our main goal. Thanks for playing
@danthegreat Glad you found it amusing. Thanks for playing!
P.S. I am still working through all of the games we haven't yet played. I do like to take my time and try to provide constructive criticism on what worked and where might some changes improve the experience for me personally. I promise to get through them and rate them before the end of the voting time.
Thanks again for playing our silly little game.
Awesome game. Loved playing every bit of it. I love the interactions of water and lightning. I would love to see this as a full fledged game with levels and customization.
Ping me if you need help with mac port, I would gladly help you with it.
@monish-vyas thanks for playing and glad you had fun with it. We already have a MAC port but thanks for offering
Amazing game, solid entry, really liked everything, may be it is possible to expand on randomized levels and stuf. Good job!
@23edsa thanks for playing
Hahahahahah. Still playing...

Analysis...
1 - Mechanics, Learning and Flow: As a cloud I had two main forms of interaction: splash water and throw lightning. I found it very interesting to do all of this with just the mouse. I say everything, because there is an overload of functions in throwing water for different purposes (putting out fire, making plants grow, filling the continents with water from the sheep). It would be interesting to have more functions for the beam too (in post game jam version, if the group wants to change the project more). Learning to play was fast, I had enough feedback (even without reading a tutorial) to notice that it was with the mouse and (although it took a death) I managed to understand that the two mouse buttons would be possible. The game flow escalates quickly, especially if the place starts to catch fire (I think the fire is very fast). Perhaps slowing down the rate of fire advance is interesting. Another thing, perhaps having water on the ground could prevent the movement of wolves (or other animals in a future version). This would allow us to create new forms of interaction (I believe).
2 - Graphics, Audio and Narrative: The graphics were very good for Ludum Dare's time. Congratulations. In my view, the audio was cool (slightly funny too). The narrative is simple, there is not much to talk about (since it has not been so focused on the project so far).
3 - Culture: The game has a humorous visual aspect. This favors finding interested people (in my view). It has an administration / management footprint while having several action challenges. I believe that with the proper polishing and extension of the content, the game has everything to be a good piece to join these niches.
4 - Monetization: I believe that properly polished and extended, the game can sell to stores like itch.io. :)
Thanks @gustavo-christino for playing and your detailed recommendations. Appreciate you taking the time to play and share your thoughts
You win! It's fun and really well polished, the visuals & audio are top notch, the gameplay is simple to understand yet challenging. Excellent job!! It's an awesome game you've got there! :star:
Loved the video of streamers playing it too, it gave me a good laugh!
Also, cute animals!!
Thanks for bringing your adorable burning sheep game by my stream for us to check out! If you'd like to watch me struggle again, the highlight is at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/617113696
A totally cute game, the sound effects where great and the title speech at the start was totally funny :) the mechanics are pretty simple but the graphics are really polished.
A great Game well done
@fififox Thanks for playing. Glad you got a good laugh out of it :)
@marcmagus Thank you for streaming it
@deathstorm Thank you for playing.
Fun game. I was able to come up with a cheese strat though, so I won quite handily.

@joe40001 only the best of the best figure it out ;) lol Thanks for playing :D
Fun game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 46 compilation video series, if you want to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/N721nAhkovk
@jupiter-hadley thanks for playing :)
