LD46 — Keep it alive

Iguanathon by Cord Gamedev 2020-05-03T05:17:29Z

Great idea and lots of fun to play! I kept trying to use the mouse to steer, which was a little annoying, but in some ways good because it made it harder to see snakes sneaking up behind you (added an aspect of realism). Nice work! (Bonus points for the Linux release and using Godot + Blender + Gimp-- they're my tools of choice too.)

Mission Control by thedeadlybutter 2020-05-04T04:15:15Z

Definitely started to panic as the mazes became more challenging and time ran out! Nice work on the pixel art and sound.

Don't Hang Up on Mom by FiscallyDeficient 2020-04-27T13:21:36Z

I found it a bit hard to steer the player, but the game overall was quite amusing and a clever take on the theme. Good job!

Sliding Caves by xmatos 2020-05-12T06:15:03Z

Strangely addicting! Fun sound effects and very satisfying to smash the bad guys with the blocks. Well done!

Cloudy With A Chance Of Pain by ProdigalSon 2020-04-27T13:29:18Z

This is the most amusing game I've played so far! Had a great overall vibe and it was fun to fry wolves with lightening bolts.

Keepin' It Charged by kubs 2020-05-12T06:20:13Z

Nicely done player movement mechanics (complete with wall jump!) and fun visual effects.

StarShip Hamster by Maytch 2020-05-04T04:35:31Z

HILARIOUS! Ended up playing for a lot longer than expected. Nice job! My only gripe was that the mouse movement/aiming felt a bit lethargic.

Let It Burn by lootgrounds 2020-05-12T18:56:25Z

Fantastic graphics and mood! Some roaring inferno sound effects would have made it even more satisfying to toss items into fire. The dystopian backstory is a clever take on the theme!

@tri11paragon Glad to hear from a fellow Linux enthusiast! The link to the Linux version is now available. Please let me know if you have any issues. (x86-64, tested on Ubuntu 18.04)

@dranrebdev Sorry, we'd love to publish a Mac version but we don't have hardware for testing. However, we hope to publish an HTML5 / web browser version soon.

Keep it Lit! by mharring 2020-04-24T10:28:43Z

@enya454 Many thanks for testing the Mac version!

Keep it Lit! by mharring 2020-05-04T04:47:01Z

Also, we were hoping to add a cool rain effect in order to explain why the fire burns out more quickly as time goes on, but we ran out of time for that too. ;-)

Ember Story by sigod 2020-05-03T03:09:41Z

Nice artwork and mood. Linux version ran fine on my Ubuntu 18.04 LTS system.

Viridian by drewstillwell 2020-05-03T02:54:42Z

Adorable! Great graphics and sound. Also the brief tutorial at the beginning is a great way to get new players started. Once you've gotten the hang of things, though, the player movement feels a bit slow-- I wish I could move around faster so that I could explore further in the level.

The last plant by AdrianKrawczyk 2020-04-27T13:25:54Z

I really liked the graphics though I had a bit of trouble aiming. Excited to see what you come up with in the next jam!

Aphotic Aquatic by qqcs 2020-05-12T19:08:13Z

Clever idea and fun to play. It's great how the difficulty ratchets up as time goes on. Nice job on the text and on the sound effect of food dropping into water.

A'Light by Phill Micrevise 2020-05-03T02:40:29Z

Nice work! I ended up playing for quite a while! It was fun to have several different tasks competing for your time-- chopping trees, collecting wood to fuel the fire while fighting off the enemies. The only thing I would suggest is making it a bit more clear about how to ultimately win-- e.g., a countdown timer if are you trying to survive for a certain amount of time, or a boss to defeat (as you already mentioned), etc. In other words, what comes next after figuring out the basic survival mechanics?

Blue by tri11paragon 2020-05-04T04:20:26Z

Fun game and I like the mood. I'll echo the comments about some tuning to the collisions to improve the movement, but overall nice work!

Eggsploration by ChickenCastle 2020-05-04T04:30:31Z

Great chill vibe! Clever idea to have the egg take damage each time you fall. The in-game tips/tutorial was a nice touch. I had a little trouble with some of the jumps-- not sure if it's just me or if the movement mechanics and/or controls could use a little work. Definitely had fun playing this one!

Touch it! Do it! by JosephByam 2020-05-04T04:41:32Z

3D games are not easy, least of all in a jam setting, so kudos for taking it on! I was a bit unclear on the objective and confused by the floating green rectangle, but it probably would have come together with a bit more time. Nice work!

Treasure Sub by snails84 2021-05-18T03:53:51Z

Fun little game! Nice work on the moving water shader effect. Steering the sub felt pretty intuitive. Nice work!
