Oh boy if I don't have a new favorite super-hero! God this game is fun and the puzzles actually had me confused from time to time. A solid entry and a lot of fun!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD44 → Moneyman and Pennyboy

Just frustrating enough to keep me playing lol
A game must happen! Very literal take on the theme, but somhow you got the puzzles to fit with the theme. I'm just sad I can't play it on a DreamCast.
Neat game, the characters were quite entertaining. I enjoyed the puzzles, well done!
Those spikes were hilarious! Cool take on the theme, I especially loved the story and characters.
Really fun creative way of using the killing yourself to get smaller mechanic by one of my favourite devs :)
I love it 5/5 for everything :D
Fun, but hit detection on the edges of the single-block platforms is flakey... sometimes I land right on top but slide off the side!
Yeah, I noticed the platform thing too, but I couldn't fix it in time. I also noticed it's the type of bug that appears when you least want it, like just before the end of the level. A very powerful bug, borderline Psycho Mantis in nature
Great game! The platform mechanics were surprisingly good - to the point that I wasn't expecting jumping to work so well (including off-block time for jumps) that it actually made the game impossible until I found that out. Well done!
I loved this game. The mechanics are very smooth and it's at the perfect level difficulty that makes you cant stop playing and I absolutely love that in a game. Great job!
Nice intro and story So catchy to play, nice conversations and funny One of the best games! Very sweet game mechanics and puzzles I was a bit sad that there was one level you can catch the wallet without solving the puzzle :( Shame the music isn't a perfect loop
This is great! One of the funniest games I've played so far. The artwork and dialogue had me cracking up. Also really clever mechanics with the dollar/coin/gold switching.
It doesn't load on my Dreamcast? Nice game, a bit too much text for my taste, also fell of the level once on the side. Other than that it works pretty good and fits the theme well. Good job!
Catchy music. Fun characters. It's neat to play a game with a story to tell. I think I got stuck at one point when I picked up a bunch of coins and then fell into a pit and couldn't jump anymore. Clever mehcanics.
@skoggy I'm sorry the Dreamcast version didn't load for you. I tested it on my Dreamcast, just redownloaded and burned to see if it still works and it still runs on my machine. It should show the modified license screen, then start the game. If it doesn't even show the license screen, I suppose something went wrong during burning. Otherwise, I can't say much, the huge advantage of console development is supposed to be that every machine is the same, so this is weird.
Not a bad little puzzle game!
Very cool - don't see a lot of dreamcast games in Ludum Dare! I'm a complete sucker for quirky+retro console stuff so I enjoyed this a bit. Your dialog was great.
I try to provide a little constructive feedback when I can, so I'll mention that I was a little bit surprised the edges of levels just let you fall off, rather than stopping you. I think it might have felt less weird if the screen kept scrolling past to show the hole. (Or if the edge of the screen had collision of course)
That said, that's a super minor point. Well done!
@captaindreamcast @skoggy Either of your Dreamcasts must have gained sentience over the years and decided to revolt against your slavery. There is no other explanation.
As for the game, the story is naturally top-notch, very easy to immerse yourself in, very easy to relate to the characters and see their true depth and struggle. No surprises there. What did surprise me is the depth of the gameplay, the light puzzle elements did ramp up nicely, first with simple puzzles, then we even move to something that could be described as "open-ended" by anyone who's at least keenly familiar with the woes of Ludum Dare deadlines. It all adds up to what is probably my favorite Dreamcast game to come out this year, gonna be a hard act to beat for all aspiring Dreamcast developers out there.
