High level of polish, everything fits together very nicely. Really like the concept, gameplay is simple and easy to get into. Did encounter a small bug when my harvester could go into minus health but only happened rarely. Overall really good job!
Screen shake was a bit too much :D
Funny game, but I did not quite understand why I lost, because I was collecting coins and my tractor was covered in gold on the screen with the words "Game Over"
And to be honest, this game really stands out from many games where you play as a tractor with an overhead view, because you have combined bullethell game mechanics with a farm. Good job.
Cool game and the game is quite complete in terms of audio and graphics. Nice job!
like the crops growth and turn bad. stisfying to harvest all just wen you entended. like the screen shake effect when you harvest.(keep in mind some people can't handle it) Conclusion a good, fun and polished game.
That was a wild ride. Nice job.
The music, sound effects, and screen shake really helps to make the game feel good, Only complaint is the difficulty, while I can see how letting a spore unchecked could go horribly wrong, I felt that as long as you dodged the slow projectiles and camped the barn for health, you could just return to the field after all the spores died. Aside from the barn being overpowered by regening all your health at once, good game feel!
One of my top three in this game jam (about 30 played so far)!!! I love the feel, feedback. It feels satisfying to harvest! I like the dynamics of the growing, going for 100x, avoiding being shot, having to go back. Always on the move. Cool! Graphics is very nice and music fits the dynamics. Polished overall. Only thing I did not like: when dying, I could not see anymore my highscore :-( And too much screenshake .. I understand that you want to have impact. But continuous high "impact" after a while does not feel anymore like a lot. And it hurts the brain after a while. Congratulations!!!
A really satisfying little game, the first time around I got really overwhelmed, but then I realized how the yellow crops are spreading and once you focus on just keeping them under control the game gets almost too easy. I think it could help that once you are full you actually don't cut down the fields anymore, so you are forced to return as fast as possible, because you can't stop the spread anymore while you are full. Just a suggestion. Either way, a little highscore would have been a nice touch too. All in all, well done!
Loving the graphics and controls - vfx and polish were well adjusted to the gameplay as well. Well done :)
Awesome entry. Literally the best splash screen I ever saw lol.
Nice concept! It was confusing at first, until I glanced over the comments and caught onto the word 'projectiles'. I had somehow missed these in my first attempts. Maybe I'm just tired from work.
The vibe is cool as well, though I sadly couldn't hear the music very well with all the SFX going on at the same time (well, unless you stand still). Not sure how I'd fix that though, since the 'big machinery', 'messy' sound is a large part of the mood. Maybe lean into the juice a little more?
From a gameplay perspective, there's some interesting intersections between arcadey gameplay and strategizing going on, but as it is now, I don't really know how to approach it.
If go for strategy completely, then I'm immensely helped by the fact that tiles where the blight has been, but are now 'rubble' (for lack of a better word) don't grow anything, and will not ever if you don't drive over them. That means you can essentially just pick your own difficulty by letting the field bloom out the first time, and then only clearing areas you think you can take. I managed to make a 'loop' where I'd wait a few seconds, then went around again, if careful, slightly more than exactly a full truck, slammed that back in the barn & then started again, all without seeing a single projectile (maybe a few infected ones). I stopped when I had done 10 loads or so.
On the other hand, I don't seem to manage very long when I don't strategize at all: When I just drive around without any care other than what's going to happen in the next second or so, then it feels a bit _too_ chaotic to me.
Still, something you can start playing immediately but manages to have a bit of a twist is always welcome though!
Was super fun, polished, and had me zoned in for awhile.
I wish the camera was a bit more zoomed out though, I think it would make it lean towards the arcade flow a bit better. If it were slower paced and required planning of the routes the zoomed in camera would work well.
Sound and music was very nice and kept the flow going the entire time.
Maybe some rough indicator of fullness near the harvester would be helpful also, like a x/4 bar graph or something to let me know im getting closer and need to pay attention to the limits.
Nice arcade game. The music and sound are great! The presentation is good too.
I like the concept of the game, the graphics are amazing and I liked the music, maybe the volume is a bit high for my taste, I like the feeling of the tractor cultivating, it would improve if they polished how the tractor is handled, great game!
Oh! great entry! I really loved those cute sprites, and game feel. 5/5
Really well done with a nice aesthetic and a solid background music. The controls work well as expected. I had fun playing. Hard for me. A nice casual game. Thank you for your feedback about my own project. I wish you the best ++
The art and music is super cool. I like how the enemy is the crop that you didn't harvested at time.
Very funny game, love the art style. It's satisfying scooping up those amber fields of ~~grain~~ meat.
This was a solid game and a lot of fun! The music was awesome, the concept hilarious, and the gameplay very engaging! Well done!!
