This is excellent! It took me a bit to figure out the mechanics of the followers, but I thoroughly enjoyed it once I did - and I found the difficulty curve of the game satisfying - though I think there's definitely more to explore in terms of harder levels. The graphics are lovely - I especially liked the little hearts particle effect! It didn't take me too long to finish, but it was a very enjoyable experience.
Thanks meelo! We wanted to add a lot more but we started late in the game jam. We'll definitely consider to explore more with this concept after this.
@cristi-minai I actually wanted to add a social distancing meter in the game, where you need to move around to keep them away from each other at a certain distance. Didn't have time though and the platform distance I believe will make it harder.
Really enjoyed the premise, found a few cases where the mechanic behaved strangely or was difficult to manage, but managed through it. The art was really nice, though it would benefit from it's own font, as the default font is a bit jarring against the custom pretty backgrounds
The parallax in the background is a great touch :) Getting everyone over the landscape was a nice challenge, I really enjoyed this one.

Little bug, one of the people got stuck in the stairs!
@generic-games I actually learned about parallax just by using ortographic camera haha. that bug is weird, I'll see what's triggering this but my suspicion is that he got deattached while on clip with stairs.
Very nice take on the theme, i had hope in mind but couldnt make any game out of it. Good job!
Awesome job and just you and the artist working together! I hope you had lots of fun making it, really love the play on recent topics and of course the awesome train-like system to bring them home. One of my fav touches was the lights switching on in the building.
Thank you @max-louis. We did enjoy making this. It's the artist's first game jam as well! It's her idea to put windows that light up when you get one person home, I think I can remove the number UI because of this too!
Thank you @tomas-selmeci the first title was Keep Them Alive which felt morbid so I changed it to Hope instead
Super interesting take on platforming. Music and SFX fit really well with the games aesthetic. It was satisfying to chain everyone together and get them home all at once! Good job!
I think that was a cute little puzzle game, I wish there were more levels that explored the puzzle solving! One small critique, I think the connecting line color was really intense and didn't match very well.
Thanks @iamscissors! Yes I already have new levels in mind but we started late in the game jam so I couldn't make those levels in the final hour. The line color is Unity's default color when something is wrong with the material. And there is, I wasn't able to fix it during the time. I'm gonna take a second look on this
Thanks @xel! I imagined a soft satisfying sound to go with the game so I leaned on whoosh sound effect for jump and clicky poppy sound effects to go with the music. The chain is what I loved with the idea too! I'll explore what I can do with this chain combo mechanic
Haha great concept. I made a social distancing inspired game a few weeks ago too : https://amerigo.itch.io/paper-trail. Love the chain mechanics, awesome work!
This is really well done, nice sound graphics and gameplay! I did face a bug where the number went negative and I couldn't clear the level. I restarted over and got to the ending. not that many levels, but what is there is good.
Good game!
@amerigo-gazaway cool! haha I'm gonna try your game. I wanted to add a social distancing meter but thought it would take a lot of time from the game jam allowed hours. Maybe I'll explore about this in the future especially the chain mechanics. Might try a highscore type of game
Thanks @joh. Oh that happened again, I thought I fixed that before finished all the levels. It's probably caused by some weird combinations of detaching, reattaching and sending home. I'm going to check on this again and see how I can make it work infinitely better. I plan on making some highscore type based game on this chain mechanic.
there are big bugs of collisions that made me quit the game 8 But otherwise I loved: the music, the minimalist graphic style, the principle siple and effective and in the theme! I will keep it in favorites to replay it once the little bugs of collisions corrected;) do not hesitate to keep me informed when it is done! Congratulations
This game is very cute, the art and music go well together and make the underlying theme of "Stay Home" feel important yet not oppressive. I liked the idea, the control feel smooth and I had no bugs while playing. Good job!
Nice peaceful game, enjoyed it a lot! Thanks
Nice game. Really easy to get into and overall enjoyable. Well done!
Nice game, difficulty is quite right and I like the graphic and music and i think the game concept is creative. Enjoyed playing it. I only missed to be able to jump with arrow up ;)
Thanks a lot for the feedback! The collissions are caused by overlapping platforms, they are fixed. @fabien-parisot
@doot Thank you! I've always wanted to make a game relevant to today's pandemic and I wanted it to be as you say not oppressive. Stay safe!
Very cute game! My biggest problem is I wanted more! I felt like the game ended right as I was sort of getting the hang of it. Still, nice work!
Thank you @grentacular! We started late so I couldn't make as much levels as I wanted.
Cute graphics, neat game. I included it in my Ludum Dare 46 compilation video series, if you want to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/Xpc46Nkubiw
Nice game, felt like you stretched the theme a bit. I feel personally that i didn't do anything to create any hope for the other characters. Maybe make a little bit of story so that you feel what you're doing actually has an impact. Other than that great game fun puzzles, nice music and mechanics, keep on going!
I love this game <3 I wish you add more level ! <3
great game!
the levels are quite challenging and the characters are adorable. the soundtrack matches the mood and the parallax is a great addition to add more depth. would love to see more levels in the future
I included your game in my video. Hope you like it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93xk24_f670
I thought it was cute! Really like the part where the house windows light up, its a nice touch. Might try making the bg music only load / play once (just make the object persistent and create once at beginning) cause going from level to level and hearing it restart was a little jarring.
Thank you @armani03k that's a really nice and funny video haha. you completed it!
@thedouche my idea was that the ending tells the player you don't have to do it anymore as the ones you've helped are already on their way home. Thank you for your feedback!
Such a cute little game, everything fits, the music, the little sound effects and the mechanics too. It is a bit weird to lead people to your home on a leash, but whatever. I was really impressed by how you stylized the end of a level, with the lights matching the amount of people and them turning on when you walk in. Really cool stuff. I liked it a lot!
The best I've seen so far! Graphics are amazing, gameplay is fun, mechanics are fresh, and polishing is on point. Amazing job!
Nice idea to link the theme to hope :) I had troubles with the last level but finally managed to drag the characters enough to follow me!
