I am impressed with how much you managed to do in a weekend! Good job!

I am impressed with how much you managed to do in a weekend! Good job!
Great idea! I really liked the design of the puzzles and how you taught the player what to do by making items for them to place. Good job! :D
I love the idea! The art, music, and overall mood really help support the idea and gave the game a such a great charm to it. I think the only thing that felt weird was the controls? I think you are doing it based off the direction the car is facing but it might be better to just do it based on world directions instead since the map doesn't move or rotate. Really good job! Always look forward to your entries :)
This. Is. Adorable. Great use of the theme! Good job :D
Really enjoyed watching the bunnies multiply (which caused me to lose a lot haha). Cute and funny idea!
Interesting use of the theme! Wasn't sure what I was supposed to do as a player so maybe a tutorial of some sort? Also adding a loading screen once you hit play because on web it takes a good 10ish seconds to start and I thought it was broke and almost left the site :((
There is something soothing about watching the cars drive back and forth haha Once I figured out what was happening I started to enjoy the game. Maybe give the player a starting road path so they get the flow of things? Neat idea tho!
Neat use of the theme! There is def a difficulty spike but besides that good job :)
I like what y'all did with the theme! The atmosphere was also really good! I was scared and creeped out even before running into Miss eyesore haha
Cool use of the theme and yay pico8! Wasn't quite sure what was going on at first (and at the end) but it was fun so I kept trying to figure out the rules and had a good time. Great job! :D
Took me a sec to get it but clever use of the theme! I really like the whole aesthetic of the game! Well done :D
I liked the level names a lot! Really cute art and music! Definitely see some potential with the gameplay as well. Good job! :D
I loved the concept and the execution didn't disappoint either! haha Good job :D
I like the simplistic vibes going on with the art, sound, and design that combine to make something neat. Doesn't really fit the theme tho (even with the explanation), which is fine for this jam, so no need to force it! Good effort overall! :D
Really fun game! I enjoyed flying around and I like how you displayed stars. I would maybe make money in hundreds (so 100 instead of 1) just so the player feels like they got a lot of money for doing things right. Good job :)
I really enjoyed seeing the slimes combine into bigger slimes! Cute game :)
Cute game! I really liked the art and music! I too wasn't sure if the shop worked or not which is sad cause I wanted a hat!
We both kinda did the same thing with the theme except you went to space with it haha
Cute game! I liked how you have to use a certain colored fox to get rid of that color balloon and also the fact that you have to avoid things in the map to prevent people from just swiping really fast and carelessly! Good job :D
I thought it was cute! Really like the part where the house windows light up, its a nice touch. Might try making the bg music only load / play once (just make the object persistent and create once at beginning) cause going from level to level and hearing it restart was a little jarring.
Really cool concept! Art, Sound, and parallax are all done really well :) I would tune fly controls (boost) but that's me being nitpicky haha
Good job :D
Interesting combo of themes! I felt it a little hard to shoot and the UI could use a little work. The idea def has potential tho!
Cool mash up of genres! I found it really fun to play once I got the mechanics down :D
Liked: Gameplay, Theme, Controls.
Could use some work: Web build wouldn't open :( Fish bullet speed could be slowed down some. If the bobber bounced off the enemy fish once you hit them, would be an easy way to add juice and help out the player :)
Good job!
Looks really cute and clever idea! I did have issues playing it in html :(
Really enjoyed the little touches that you did (especially the eye brow moving up and down haha). I also agree with what everyone else has said. Good job! :D
Really cute game!
What Worked: clever use of theme, easy controls, cute dialogue, great mood.
What needs some polish: Centering the map in the middle of the screen, maybe making key points (like instructions) more noticeable.
Great job overall! :D
Didn't think there would be a golf game! Great idea :)
What worked: - Shooting the ball and where it landed felt good. I never felt cheated. - Great mash up of themes - Was a lot of fun to play!
What needs some polish: - The art felt a little too pixelated.
This is such a clever idea!
What worked: Really cute art, clever theme, good UI and presentation, was easy to pickup, basically everything haha
What needs some polish: the timing of when an event happens could need some touch up, feels like there is a delay. But thats just me being picky ;D
Great job!
I like how you merged the genres!
What Worked: Art, Rythm mini game to get power ups is clever,
What needs some polish: Spikes are hard to see. Some feedback that I got a new power up would be nice. Orange Light jump feels clunky.
Good job overall :)
Really enjoyed what y'all came up with :) Art and Audio combined with the genres made for a really cool game! Good job on adding a single player mode!
What needs some polish: - "press fire" isn't a good way to let the player know what button to use :( - I get that you get one shot, but giving the player 20/100 hp doesn't make sense..? - Wasn't sure where to go. Maybe mini map or some way to guide the player - Hitboxes are weird cause you could get hit standing in the sidewalk to beneath the red things. - Not sure how it tied into the theme..?
Good job finishing and posting a game tho!
Even tho you guys didn't finish I am glad y'all posted it :D Really enjoyed the humor, art, and audio!
Cool use of the theme!
What Worked: Theme, Core Game loop was neat, fun overall.
What Needs some polish: Placing a card felt weird, not sure why but having a way to move them once placed would be nice. More card types to keep things interesting End Game state. Felt like I just got to a wave that never ended so some UI that let me knows wave x out of y.
Really neat game tho! Would def be cool to see y'all polish it up some :)
Hey, we made the same game! haha I like that yall have wild cards and make a whole new theme on top of the guitar hero (the plants instead of notes). I feel like the difficulty, especially for easy, is still too hard. Good job overall!
What worked: Art and controls
What needed polish: Wasn't sure what to do / whose turn it was. Conveyance in general needs some tuning.
Good job tho! :D
Cool concept!
What Worked: Theme, RTS elements
What Needs Some Tuning: Controls, Better way to distinguish what is what on the map.
Good job! :)
One of the few games I finished to the end! Was really fun :)
What worked: - Great use of theme - Very fun - Simple and easy to hop into and play - Good AI (it beat me haha)
What needs some polish: - Better instructions, like what the win score is. - Adding a wall or putting this in a room, would be nice. - Laser beam or a better way to see where I am aiming would be helpful :)
Great job! This would be a cool project to polish and release!
Found myself playing it over and over again, trying to get to the end, so good job there!
What worked: Controls, unique gameplay everytime.
What needs some polish: Font
Really enjoyed the narrative of it all! Cool use of the theme and great overall mood :) Even with it being a "walking sim" I would add something in between the actions. (Like the sound of building when colonizing). Good job overall :D
Really enjoyed the aesthetic of it all(reminded me of The Beginners Guide). The green text at the start was a little hard to read with the scenery. I wouldn't require a dash on the first jump part just to let the player get used to controls (I did like the death message tho haha). I would make the text clear when the player is a certain distance away from the source (or give it a timer) cause having a blur of text makes it unreadable :( Also better checkpoints pls! Good job overall :D
hahaha making a game about dogs was a smart move since they are the best ;p Great Idea!
Cool concept!
What Worked: - Cards - Genre Combination
What needs some polish - UI elements (text) need to be more visible. - The way you play a card is confusing. Works sometimes
Good job!
Also had the same issues :((
@marcenat I might not conveyed it too well haha Yes they are buttons, but they represent cards and you get a "random" one from the deck once you "play" it. Plus the the shuffle hand if you feel like you have too many of one type in your hand. I had to dumb down the card part of it to make it work (sometimes you would get a really bad hand which wasn't fun!) so it's the simplest form of a card game which is why it may not have conveyed :)
