UPDATE - the collision is fixed now
You have gotta be kidding me, I always play the games blind if I can and that was awesome. In those first seconds I was like, alright, its a fishing game. Then the first enemy appeared and blasted me, I laughed. Nice graphics, and a fun balance between fishing and dodging/fighting.
The game was ok, i think it's unfair how much dmg the fishes do to you, like you end up having to focus almost exclusively on killing fishes than on fishing, but other than that is a good combination.
A great game, our game is also fishing xD I liked it, although the first game I didn´t know I could move. The graphics and the gameplay is very fun. Good job!
@Zyuxis Thanks for playing! yeah it was really fun to make and animate the fish! wish I could have made different enemies
@Q-ro Thank you for your feedback, If I had more time I would have added better ways to deal with the fish. i would add a HP item but I wanted that to be the lose condition. you have been left on the platform as bait and have to survive as long as you can

Really cool concept! I had the same reaction as Zyuxis, the way the blending of genres sneaks up on you creates its own funny moment.
I think with some more time devoted to balancing, enemy variations, and maybe some punchier animations to signify a hit, this could be a fun infinite content game

@Deprecat Thanks for your feedback, yeah I would have loved to make more enemies, I wanted to add a bottle which floated around and gave you stamina, or a fire in the middle. Just ran out of time!
Cool mash up of genres! I found it really fun to play once I got the mechanics down :D
Liked: Gameplay, Theme, Controls.
Could use some work: Web build wouldn't open :( Fish bullet speed could be slowed down some. If the bobber bounced off the enemy fish once you hit them, would be an easy way to add juice and help out the player :)

Nice Game! Great job on combining an action shooter element with a normally boring fishing game. Really liked the art style. Have you considered mapping both actions to the left mouse button? Because you can only do one of both actions anyway. I got 540 :D
It was really fun to play XD!! i played for around 15 minutes and caught only one fish XD(and that too fell over :joy: ) Great combination of shooting and fishing!! great job!!
Definitely a fun game. Didnt realize i had to defend myself until the first hit, but from there it was easy to learn how the game works. Good job. I can see the potential in future releases

Great game! Was a real challenge playing this, and definitely one of the better games I have played so far in this Ludum Dare! :) I didn't realize I had to fight them until my first death haha.

This was pretty fun! One of the better realized games on this concept, i think.
That was fun. Those fish have some really fast projectiles. It was hard, but not unfair.
Nice game! It was hard, but got a little easier when I noticed the shadows. I did get stuck on the edge once, but not a big deal. Clever use of the theme! :)
Controls are a little bit confusing at first. Graphics are pretty good though. Overall I liked it.
