Where is the game? The link doesn't work sadly
I think the download links might be broken
I try to the itch.io link, but say they not found.
@neemos @antsa @rafael-endo Thank you guys for bringing this to my attention. I am sorry to say that I forgot to set the project visibility to 'public'. I guess I looked over the visibility option.
Again thanks for telling me!
The game looks great but it's really difficult and i can't beat 1:15. I think damage bonus don't work and the room size decrease very fast with no way to reset it again. Unless this was enjoyable to play
Nice game.
I missed the audio. I like the idea of a light trying to shine in the shadow. Maybe it's seen unbalance, but for me, give the experience of "survive" in the middle of darkness. It's like I am trying be a nice person but the world (or people around me) trying to gain for then self and to convince that is better accept the darkness than trying to keep your on light.
Sorry for to much babble
Really liked the mood and idea of this one! It was super difficult to survive all that long but it was very playable for that amount of time and I enjoyed the challenge! I agree some audio would be nice and could heighten the atmosphere but overall it was great!
I got overwhelmed really quickly, but the use of the theme and ideas were really good. I think if the upgrades made a bigger difference, it would help the balancing since more enemies = possibly more upgrades.
Got really hard about 50 seconds in but excellent use of the theme. Could have done with some sound effects
@raiponz It sure is unbalanced, sorry for that :p The room size increases (by a bit) when a monster is killed. And the damage boost does work, but it only applies a small boost. Thanks for you feedback, appreciate it!
@rafael-endo I agree on you with the audio, I miss it too ;c And I like your babbling. Thanks for your feedback!
@ezra-lafleur Glad you enjoyed the challenge! Will take some time for the audio next time, I agree that it would add a lot. Thanks for your comment!
@zachary-granger I surely could have done a better job at the balancing. The question remains if it should become harder quickly or more gradually. I feel like the game gets really boring in the beginning when you already played a few rounds. If the game gets harder quick you reach the 'challenge' faster. I also would have liked to limit the types of enemies (e.g. after 1:00 the shooting once would begin to spawn). Like you said, the upgrade should make a bigger difference, I agree. Thanks for your feedback and comment!
@gexalmighty Thanks for your comment! I'd have to step up my audio game first ;p
Overall you guys seem to miss balance and audio. If I join the next LD I'll be sure to pay more attention to these points. Thanks for telling me!
A really nice and simple shooter. It's a real shame there isn't any audio, as that'd make the game way more fun. I like the art style.
@swen you call me a "noob". is it that rigth?
the game was a fun game to play I got 1:40 second for surviving. still, I have a question. what do the power-ups do? I got +1 for damage but it doesn't give me more damage same for the fire rate.
the graphics look cool in pixel art and it is simply made which is good. too bad you didn't have time to put audio into the game because it will make the mood setting much better
I hope you will finish this game for in the future.
Neat use of the theme! There is def a difficulty spike but besides that good job :)
@suve Thanks for your comment & feedback. I did put audio in the post-jam version (but I'm still opted out for that category)
@raiponz maybe.gif Noooo, you're fine :p. I did fix the damage power-ups not working in the post jam version. Thanks for bringing that bug to my attention!
@dragongino Thanks for your comment! Power-ups give a small boost. I just fixed the damage boost not working. Again, thanks :)
@drell There is definitly a big difficulty spike. I think I smoothend the difficulty curve a bit more now. Thanks for your comment!
I survived for 03:11. I like the powerups and how you slowly more powerful until it becomes hectic. I guess more feedback could help because the damage powerup was hard to notice, and it felt like nothing when I got hit by the ghosts.
@rend Feedback would help a lot. Enemies also get more HP later on, it should notify the player of this. Thanks for your feedback and comment!
This is a really great game with lots of polish and I think it fits the theme perfectly. The only problem was some weird key ghosting that appeared with the html5 version of the game. (The windows one was fine.)
@earthensky I've also noticed the "key ghosting", but I am unable to reproduce it now. Do you know how can I reproduce this? Thanks for your feedback and comment :)
@swen I was only able to reproduce it while clicking the mouse (frequently) and pressing the wasd keys. Not using the mouse or holding the shoot button down, doesn't cause the "ghosting."
One of my favorites. It had a good mood and was fun! Sounded nice, nice enemy variants, great difficulty curve and the powerups were neat. I got 6:50, but I realized that the game maxed out at one point and I was picking up powerups to no affect. All in all though it was fun! Really nice job.
@drums Thanks for your comment and nice words. Next time I would make a 'survival' game I would make sure I would regulate the power-ups more. In the current version you can have really good RNG with the power-ups and be unbeatable. Thanks for letting me know :)!
