Can't wait to give Luddum Dare another shot. Hopefully this time I can finish!!
Nice game, interesting idea I realy like it. But I would need some description of the commands which can be used. I found left, right and jump, but I don't know how to turn in corner.
Great work! Those turns get me every time. The one time I nailed a turn perfectly only to run into a parked car right after. Overall I think this was a great entry for the theme!
So I played maybe about 18 games and couldn't survive longer than 40 seconds in any run. This probably is not my type of game. I do love the idea and I do love the novelty - I would say that I was laughing for about 90% of the time that I played it (especially at those rag doll deaths). I'm conflicted on the (what I can only guess as) procedurally generated levels. While it is cool and the coins do show the route, it is very difficult to get in a grove in the game and train my muscle memory. Personally, I had a hard time analyzing the depth of turns and at least twice turned too early. There was one death where a car was parked right behind a truck that I had to slide under and instantaneously died (I am guessing this is what happened cause I couldn't see behind the truck). Maybe this review sounds too harsh but I really did enjoy the game - especially given this is likely not my type of game.
I love it! There's just something oddly funny about a guy hitting something and then a loud explosion-like sound playing....
Loved the game and the graphics + SFX. The only thing I noticed is that your left and right movement seems to be in world-space? If I turned to the right and then typed "left" it shunted me backwards...
Overall I enjoyed it, though. Showed real polish.
Music was great!! I tried almost 5-7 times, it was a lot harder than expected!! Great work with the theme and concept!!
Nice graphics, also this game has the first skeletal animation I've found in a ld41 game so far .
I thought I was a fast typer until I played this game. Hah! Cheers.
Great! Difficult but possible)
Very well done. When you hit enter, the word doesn't disappear. maybe this was intentional, but it allows for you to turn 180, and run behind the start. Also holding down enter for words like jump make you go incredibly high (not infinite, just superman-jump style) Overall, i really enjoyed this one. Great work.
huh! I never in testing thought to just hit the enter again after typing in the command. Thats definitely something I should fix, as well as a few things with spawning the world, Are we allowed to fix things like that after entry?
Amazing, nice game and idea 5/5!!! Good Luck!
Very nice. It is pretty difficult, especially when the levels seem random and you roll a hard set of obstacles. I am happy there was a jump button and I like the aspect of discovering what you can do through typing. One bug was that you can keep jumping and fly off the level. I think with some more balancing this could be a really fun educational game
Awesome graphics and sound! Really difficult game. I would appreciate a noob mode :D I just kept on running into cars, timing is really hard.
This game is a great combination of genres. I love the difficulty. It is really challenging to type while trying to watch out for future obstacles. The graphics are playful and the music and sound effects fit that as well. Great work!
Actually really fun, took me some time to discover the "turn" word xD Fun fact: you can continue playing when you're dead which allows you to see the map ^^
Amazing game, Love the graphics and the idea with the theme! You should work on updating the mechanics and maybe polishing the UI! Amazingly done!
I liked it, really difficult but enjoyable. Once that you get fast runs (which they are also short) it's fantastic to jump over several cars, but the turn is sometimes not 90 degrees at those speeds.
Super hard but a great concept.
Really cool concept! I like the game a lot, the only thing that bothers me a little is that to restart I have to use the mouse when both my hands are on the keyboard. But that's nothing
Congrats on the entry!
Awesome idea and execution. Now if I was only better at it. Felt like it was very difficult. Great job!
I love the idea! I don't think I survived more than 30 seconds but I tried it several times just because of how fun those 30 seconds where, apparently I am a slow typer. Great submission!
Incredible hard game but very innovative. i'm a fast typer but sometimes i couldnt jump after typing "turn". Good work =)
Great game and quite challenging. The character runs a bit too fast for me and I end up dying a lot. Maybe consider adding a difficulty setting for the speed. Good work!
Overall a good game, the difficulty ramps up too fast, at least for me. I loved the simple combination. The music and sound effects are also on the point. Well done!
Good concept but very hard and unforgiving.
Typing games are very hard for me, but here this is an impossible challenge - if I reached 20 seconds of game it was probably by chance. But no one can say you didn't follow the theme, typing game and runner are really not compatibles genres  Except the hard gameplay, I have to say that the realisation is polished, I don't see a lot of voxel games in LD (and in general), so that's a good thing to see that kind of render in an LD entry. Good job!
It is very unforgiving. We really didn't have time to play test it. We were happy that it worked!! lol
a few times it wouldnt accept a word that was legit fine (and lowercase etc) but overall this was frustratingly fun! i kept dying, getting cross and trying again. couldnt beat 470 pts XD
Very interesting take on the theme. While the idea is very nice the execution could be a bit better. For one, the game got too hard too fast. A round time of only maybe 20 to 30 seconds is a bit short. Further, the sudden camera jump if you go left or right is really annoying. It would be nicer, if the camera moved gradually to the new position.
Wow. Very nice entry ! :ok_hand:
I couldn't go very far, but I restart a lot of time lol
Good Job
Awesome game ! I really liked the idea, your game is pretty challenging, and that is awesome ! Nice graphics by the way :D
Interesting concept, I couldn't get very far though as it speeds up fast! Need to ramp up the difficulty a little slower to allow the player to get a sense of accomplishment.
Great concept! I'm a big fan of the graphics. The game is hard as hell but I enjoy the challenge. Excellent submission!
Good mixing of themes =) I'm not strong in typo and not good in english (not my native langueage), so I can't run far. Unfortunately there is no instructions, can't turn on 90 deg, just slightly left and right.
I can not type fast enough for this game. It's still fun, though!
Nice game, died really easy thought
Barely play tested. In fact, my brother just reminded me that out of the 3 of us who made it I was the only one to play it. Oscar and Chris were too busy making music and art! lol
The game was fun! But the audio is too much, hurt my ear :)) love the jump anim
Really good game, I love the concept of typing directions, good graphisms :) one of the best game I played in this jam :)
The idea for this game is really interesting, but I can't type fast enough to get very fare in this. But both the music and graphics is super good, and it make me really happy. Overall a fine LD game.
Really good, really hard though. I don't have time to take in what is around the corner and even touch my keyboard before I hit something
I was laughing almost the entire time I was playing it. There are some bugs (sometimes words don't activate or the slightly uneven terrain causes game over) but nothing that would discourage me from playing it. I also love the graphics.
Fun game that made me laugh and stress, but as other have stated, it got to hard really fast!
This is such a clever idea!
What worked: Really cute art, clever theme, good UI and presentation, was easy to pickup, basically everything haha
What needs some polish: the timing of when an event happens could need some touch up, feels like there is a delay. But thats just me being picky ;D
Great job!
I love this, good idea. Maybe if you like it, can give like a slow mo when you're typing a word, because I died a lot, remmember so much of subway surfers. Good work.
Great combination, hit the theme spot on. I really like it overall. I think the things you have to type could be shorter though. I dont know why there havent been only 3 lanes to walk by, that made the game harder but it didnt add to the depth of the game (maybe I just missed the point). Good job! Cheers
Wow this was really awesome. Too bad I suck at typing.
This game was so difficult! But I loved the physics were hilarious and the idea was very on point with the theme XD
Good job! Cool game!
I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.

Good job, it was difficult. I hate to admit i'm bad at this game
Really great idea, perfectly fits the theme and was very well pulled off. Nice graphics but there was a few bugs, and the audio was a bit painful at times but I'm just nitpicking. Great but hard as nails.
Great idea you got there! Game is getting hard pretty fast but you can get better if you do some runs and get used to "controls". :D Graphics are pretty cool and I love the little character and his animations. Great work! :)
Great idea and good job doing this, it is a pretty hard game it speeds up very fast, the music was cool but there was a low note playing constantly that made it pretty harsh on the ears. Great entry. And the car fliping when you jump the wrong time is very funny! :D
I really liked the concept in this game! As it's been pointed out before, the difficulty scaling is a bit too much too soon. I'd like it to ramp up at a slower rate. Or better yet, let the player control the speed so we can have fun playing your game for a longer period of time! Or maybe I just need to get better at my typing skills lol.
This is a pretty great game. Importantly, there is this interesting glitch. Since the player can continuously press the Enter key to perform an action that is already written in the screen, if the player holds the Enter key with the word "jump" written, the player can jump really high and "fly" over the city. In fact, the player can fall outside of the play area. In addition to this, I am not sure if this is intentional but the physics system of the game is pretty unrealistic. For example, sometimes when the player hits a car, the car will start rolling. I would also like to point out that there are a ton of visible UI mistakes including typos and words not fitting inside a text box. In fact, the bottom right corner of the game should say "Ludum Dare", not "Luddum Dare". The rules of Ludum Dare allow participants to fix glitches, even after the game is posted. Fixing these glitches can make the game better for players who decide to play the game. I also think the graphics would be better if the game had its own unique skybox rather than using Unity's default skybox. Despite these glitches, I did like the challenging innovative gameplay and I really liked the soundtrack and sound effects. Kudos to you guys for making a great 3D game with awesome graphics in 72 hours.
You hit the theme dead on. Very challenging. Controls took a bit to get used to. It's basically impossible to survive for more than a minute, so infinite is a stretch. I love the 3d artwork and sfx. The controls could get a bit glitchy at times as stated before, but overall a nice project.
Really cool and pretty hard. Completely different typing experience made for your adrenalin to flow in your veins swiftly. Perhaps the commands 'right' 'left' could move the character bit more, but that would be just my personal preference since I didn't want to fail soooooo much :-D Really cool concept. Great Work!
A typing runner! Didn’t even consider those mechanics for some reason... (I wonder why?) Innovative and very thematic for sure.
The graphics are in a blocky style which isn’t very appealing to me, but could work. Unfortunately the block sizes vary wildly and the models looks very plasticy even toy-like. The roads are also floating in space. I should not be able to see that!
The music is ok, while the sound effects are quite annoying due to their high pitch.
I do find the ragdolling funnier than it should be and the mood is effective in its zany, crazy-land way.
The typing then. Eh, it could be quite an enjoyable challenge, yet there are issues. Starting with the controls. Pressing space should apply a command, just like the enter key; and there should be a hotkey for restarting.
The bigger issue is the constant speed up. Give the player at least a few roads to get used to the controls before ramping up the intensity. The maximum speed should be limited so that the physics don’t break. Currently jumping over cars simply isn’t viable as each jump goes extremely wide.
Good idea, janky execution.
