Game is kinda funny.

The game was fun, it expressed the spirit of a casual game very well, the alien theme was really fun to explore, although in technical terms I must say that some elements in the mapping stood out and I believe it would be easy to adjust their depth on the stage , like some flower pots and other visual elements, I don't know how the game's progression system was programmed together, but after I grew the first bar of the plant, I believe that the next seed or the next item that I would have to obtain was born somewhere not visible or inaccessible, so I found myself unable to progress, the wave system was interesting, I was waiting for more enemies but the number of them being born knew how to balance the difficulty well, I guarantee that if the game was explored in detail and the scope of it being taken to something bigger would make a good casual game to play, congratulations on the partner game, I come to invite you to give an opinion on my game for for me to know your opinion.

Hello, fellow brazilian! I think the game was fun and fit the theme well. Visually is really well made but I had difficulties with some hitboxes with véia character. I often receive damage from aliens when I'm far and the level keep grasping my movement, delaying me sometimes. I think that was my only concern with the game. Visually is appealing, the game is fun and the background loop music is well made. Congrats!

Though the alien theme was pretty weird gameplay was super fun. A nice concept of plant growing (popular in this game jam). I thought Everything felt fair and progression was relatively balanced. I wish there was more things happening (spawns, power ups, etc). Nonetheless, the base game was super fun and enjoy\able!

Yey, I actually won a game. Really liked the art style, and the solid gameplay. Nothing to complain. Great job.

What an excellent game! The graphics and audio were certainly very nice to look at and listen! However with the gameplay programming there were some issues, such as collision boxes with things being a little off from the graphics, movement speed just a little bit too slow, collision box for hitting aliens just a little bit too small (so that I felt like I was risking to get hit myself everytime I tried hitting the aliens), and in general controlling felt just a bit clunky, but with those changes I think it could make a great improvement already! Overall, very good, and I enjoyed my time playing it!

Love the art style! Love the music! Super polished and really well done. This feels like a game that I would play on cartoon network :)

A really cool game with some nice graphics and audio! My only complain is that the "seed packet" once spawned at the top of the map, which was blocked by the GUI, so i got stuck for a while. Other than that this is a really great game!

The music is really good. The whole thing reminded me a bit of a popular cartoon with a purple dog for some reason. Gameplay-wise I think it's nice and easy to get into it. The difficulty ramps up at a decent pace, but the game so straight forward that it's not as challenging as it could have been. But, that's understandable because it's a game jam and I'm sure you guys wanted to add more to it. Nonetheless, you guys were able to make a pretty good entry in a short amount of time so cheers to that!

Nice game! I really enjoyed the art and music. Your game was similar to mine in structure but with a more polished loop and difficulty ramp. I liked how you had to venture out and gather the fertilizer to grow your plant. One thing I struggled with was judging the bounding boxes and how close I could get to the aliens without them hurting me. There was also no way for me to heal my poor grandma! (or at least I didn't find it...)

A fun game and a really solid entry to the jam. I honetly don't have much to complain about, other than that the hitboxes sometimes felt a bit unfair. I also thought that the game might be a bit hard, but once I got the hang of it I had no problem beating the game. The music was really nice and fitting and the graphics super cute. I only wish there would have been a little animation for when the aliens spawn, because not they just pop in. It would have rounded the whole experience.

Either way this is a super solid and fun game! well done!

Music are graphics are awesome! Controls feeling is great but I agree with @andidebob for the hit boxes that tricked me few times. Great game, I played it to the end, had a lot of fun!

Hey, nice entry! At first I didn't exactly know what to do, I thought I just need to shovel the middle tree for it to grow, then tried few other things. After I read the tutorial, things started to be more interesting, cause killing aliens on was pretty easy on it's own.

I often struggled to guess both attack and damage distance to enemies though, as well as recovery time of the shovel swing. I also noticed that you move faster diagonally, which was probably not intended and due to non normalized movement direction vector :)

What struck me immediately as a thing I would do is that when carrying the bag of tree growy thingy, I would put it physically in my character's hands, so it could not attack and carry the bag at the same time. This way it would not only indicate that you already carrying one bag much better than in the UI panel, but also it would add another depth layer and increase difficulty in terms of decidion making, which is alawys a good thing, according to people of the internet :) But that's a design decision so that depends on what game you want to make.

It seems that we both went the kind of same-ish way when tackling the theme. We actually did a lot of decisions (like the four way movement only and some AI behaviour) just to avoid some pathfinding and other AI difficulties like enemies getting stuck behind the wall (which happened to me a few times when playing your game). Maybe consider that next time, pathfinding is better avioded in tight schedule :)

I very much like the hero of your game as well as graphics in general, it feels really refreshing and positive! Also great you managed to do pretty good menu, adds a lot. Overall there were some minor issues that bothered me (see above) and I could handle a bit more preassure, but still playing your game was very pleasing and fun experience! Thank you!

I liked this game!! The graphics were lovely and I liked the music too. One small bit of feedback I have is that the attack felt kind of ... muddy? The distance at which I had to stand in order to successfully attack felt a bit unclear. Overall though I definitely enjoyed it. :)
