I like the mini-game concept as a whole. Mooter Mania was probably my favorite of the three. Good job!

Good minigames! All the controls were simple and easy to understand. The Chapple minigame was a little frustrating at times, as sticks would sometimes spawn on top of chapples, and there was no way to collect it.

rather ambitious to make a minigame collection for a game jam. but congratulations on managing to make it anyways! the walking speed is very fast which makes it hard to move around the hub or play the chapple game. i'd say my favorite minigame was the cabbits one, but it gets a bit lengthy as you very rarely hit a red cabbit by mistake.

Good minigames, perhaps give more explanation of controls, i was a little lost without the space key ! However a great game !

Awesome entry, I really liked the animal fruit hybrids and their silly names, kind of reminded me of the animals i n avatar ^^

I love the idea of making minigames, and what a cute little lobby you've got there! Chapple was the one I was best at, although I agree that it was frustrating that sometimes chapples and branches would spawn on top of each other (this would be a great chance to introduce a situation where you CAN get the chapple only, but it's just harder. or maybe we are just noobs :b)

(btw I think I encountered a little animation bug, sometimes the carrot wouldn't hop but simply slide?)

The Cabbit Catcher to me was the most unique/original but also the hardest, haha, but I really liked the idea of having to time your "attacks", it would be nice if you could also quick retreat the stick (maybe only once every second or so) because otherwise it makes you lose too much time)

A fun, silly game, great gamejam entry, also a lot of content for one person!

This game was really fun to work on

Pretty cool, like the minigames and congrats for finishing!

torban 2023-01-11 01:03

Congrats! I tried making 3 games in one for LD51 and ran into scope issues really fast. Good job finishing all of these!

crashbashash 2023-01-11 01:13

@torban It's very tough to make 3 games for a jam. Originally it was going to be 4 but we had to cut that minigame. We certainly won't be doing a minigame collection for the next LD.

Can't run it, my graphics card doesn't support the Vulkan version it wants, any chance of an OpenGL version?

arthur-mairs 2023-01-11 04:21

Fun little mini-games, I couldn't figure out how to leave them and try the others, but i just re opened the game! also Mooter Mania was my favorite!

curryrice 2023-01-11 04:23

Very ambitious game for a Jam entry! Making independent mini games in parallel may be a merit, but it must have been very challenging! Good work for the entry, and I hope it gave you the motivation to continue learning using game engine and make games!

hmrpf 2023-01-11 16:37

3d, multigames, you got ambitious as others already said ! Great job. Mini games was fun, a global score to reach or something like that could give a final objective. Maybe some input to know where the next naughtymelon will spawn on the first game could be nice. Anyway congrats for making it to this jam !

glaupe-cabral 2023-01-11 18:16

Very cool game, I'll even try to play more often. If you update it, send it to me, so I can keep testing and giving feedback.. Oh, if you have a little time, enter our game and give your evaluation too (just enter my profile quickly, it's the first game I make) . I advise you to play the downloaded version, because the Ludum one is not adapting the window correctly!

Ambitious making a minigame collection!

tiseno 2023-01-12 22:23

Awesome graphics, I liked the main characters crazy eyes, and the cabbits and mootermelons were super cute!

tigpan 2023-01-16 22:50

Very impressive entry. All the controls felt quite intuitive. Well done!

Three different games plus the hub is a lot. Nice work.

Mooter Mania was quite broken. My first run I was unable to break anything after the first couple. Something broken with the physics. Subsequent runs always ended with the screen going grey after a while. Some mooter melons managed to escape the pen, and I think I saw some mortar melons getting launched into the sky.

The Cabbit Catcher was quite interesting, having to time it right was a fun challenge. The apples one was a it dull, but perfectly functional.

cole-and-jordan-studios 2023-01-24 01:39

First of all, before I say anything critical, a hub world with multiple games is more than can be expected from most LD games, so great job! That being said, the games were... fine. Mooter mania increased in difficulty, which I liked, but it felt a little janky. Cabbit catcher was pretty interesting and I felt like could have been pretty satisfying, except the difficulty doesn't increase and it's too easy once you get the hang of it! Same thing with Chapple Fall, it could be good but it doesn't get harder and I wish it did! Also why do his eyes just randomly extend in amazement lol. All of that said, this was really interesting, graphics were decent; I like it!
