This is an ambitious kind of game to make during LD, especially for Compo. Don't feel too bad about slipping, it happens to us all.
Interface is missing some pretty big QOL features, like letting the user know when construction or research it done. Speaking of research, it seems Furryfication never completes, or it're repeatable. Not sure... That or I can't research and build at the same time?
The idea is great, and there's clearly some good stuff going on. I'd suggest taking a day or two off, and coming back over the weekend to give the UI a pass on a post-compo version. It's a fun little idea and I think it's worth bringing to fruition; especially when it's so close to being great.
@fireslash Thanks for the feedback. Furrification and soylent research are both repeatable. because one of them adds some risk and the other is cheap and has a low impact. Also if it did not broke you do get notified research is done in the left panel.
You should see a red exclamation mark if a research or build finished, also when a planet was colonized. But I wanted to create a log kind of screen as well unfortunately not enough time. And adding a notification sound probably would have been wise
I was really troubling with the goal of this game. Ended up in negative population on moon. And couldnt revert it anyhow. Guess the game needs some more work on simple tutorial. Exclamation mark should maybe be replaced with a bubblecloud saying Research is Complete or Building is Complete. Tho I spent more time on this game than other LD games so far, but I really didn“t understand what I was doing.

Nice game but he need a little things for telling us what's the aim
@2games2easy @pamoy Thanks for the feedback. I will later today update this page to add a bit more explanation on how to play. Also @2games2easy yeah negative population is a known bug. I thought only happened on sending a colony ship but might be with some researches as well. Will need to take a look into that

didnt know what to do, read the instructions here and my brain turned too goop, please make it simpler after voting ends?
the long waiting time make it a bit boring it like clicker game but I really like the fact that you can controll the destiny of the space ships.
This is a big scope for a LD game. Possibly too big.
Information was hard generally to get to, and I couldn't gauge how I was doing overall. At one point there was either a defeat or victory screen, but I was pressing the **turn** button rapidly to skip past my X months of production and accidentally clicked it away.
One thing that felt convoluted for example was getting to the build menu on a planet. Click (1) on the planet on the left side of the screen, click (2) on the planet itself (possibly having to zoom closer first, when zoomed out), click (3) on enter, click (4) on Build. That's a lot of navigation just to see how progress is going.
I do dig the concept, and I enjoyed seeing the planets' orbits you implemented. All in all, this game probably needed to be part of a one or two week jam to get to fruition.
@blueblu thanks for the feedback, i tried make it as easy as possible but some tooltips /tutorial would have helped i agree @jk-studio Yes you are right and is actually the reason why i almost not submitted it but since i worked on it the whole jam i posted it anyway @flaterectomy yes my biggest enemy overscoping but you raise a good point that ux is not great and needs too much clicking, i honestly had not thought about that yet but then again i also had no more time left. Thanks for the feedback
@aterlamia no problem glade you decided to submitted it anyway. wish you more luck next time.
Yeah, you definitely should not regret submitting it.

Echo @fireslash mostly, this was indeed a very ambitious game. It took a little bit of determination, but I figure out how it all worked and once I did it turned into a very difficult but fulfilling gaming experience. Overall wonderful concept and implementation, my only gripe is I wish it was a little more accessible at the beginning - graphics and possibly a tutorial (@blueblu).

Pretty fun entry. Graphics need to be worked on, although the idea is solid. I would've liked if I could see everything a bit more clearly, the addition of meters instead of/ along with the numbers would give the player a much more immidiate sense of how much of everything he has. But other than that, nice job.

Ha that was a nice turn based, resource management - strategy game. There is a lot of mechanics, the game feels pretty packed with stuff to do. I like the general idea of the game and how you later mange couple of planet and try to build up the economy on each planet. I like the presentation, watching the planets flying is pretty neat. Menus in the game are pretty clean and self explanatory. In overall it is a really well made game, ambitious for Ludum Dare.
