That game was awesome, so incredibly slick, you can tell you know what you're doing, I'll be honest I'm not sure I fully clocked the mechanics (or particularly my end goal, I presume survival?) but the game was implicit enough that I felt myself working out more as I went along. Great aesthetic too. Awesome.
okay i love everything about this game. would spend hours playing this on my phone tbh!! great sound design and visuals, very satisfying to move around!!
nice little puxzzle with cascading changes in the blocks, with nice block animations. cool.
I didn't fare well enough in this game, but boy is it pretty to look at! Very tight implementations of both mechanics, you can easily keep playing "just one more". Amazing achievement :)

Fantastic game! Took me a while to grasp, but once I got what was going on...

Very cute game. A nice twist on match-3, and the sfx and graphics are really good. It can be a bit hard to tell what each type of beetle will do. Perhaps some kind of tooltip would help there. Also, I would maybe simplify the mechanics a bit. It's confusing that I gather resources both in battle and match-3 phases, and there are quite a lot of beetle types. Also, the music at the start of battles is really nice! I get that you didn't have time to make different music for different parts, but would have nice to just play that track you did have all the time.
Everything feels good (especially the pieces animation at the end and the beetles sliding around). Got a little lost in the first recruitment time but it started to make more sense to me after the 2nd one. Really enjoyed it :D
What a great take on the match tile game. Really makes each move mean something other than "clear it to get points." and makes the in between rounds break up an feelings of monotony. Graphics and audio are super clean with the mood set by the entire game. Takes a few plays to full understand how things work, but it's just a great time all around!

Liked the art, and combo of puzzle and tactics.
Fun and very well put together with a nice interface, accompanied by pleasant music, as well as intuitive gameplay. The combination of the match-3 and strategic gameplay surprised me, I didn't expect for the match-3 board to transition so seamlessly to the strategy board. Improvements I would suggest are matching the colors of the borders of the match-3 tiles with the coloration of their respective icons, as to reduce the visual noise of the board (especially in fullscreen mode), as well as making the coloration of the resource icons match those of the tiles they are obtained from (such as making the log entirely green), as well as finding differing colors for the field and mountain tiles. In addition, the game itself should more clearly lay out the expertise of each kind of beetle. Overall, very well done.
Great game, but the font is killing my eyes. I still didn't get what the water droplets are all about. But great fun overall!

Gameplay is awesome. I love the dual modes, and how getting combos prolongs the match 3 phase. Make it an app! (edit: oh you made Swap Sword?! Squeee I love that one :spy:)
Overall the graphics were so beautiful, with the animations and everything. But to be honest I don't think I actually understood what was going on during the battle phase... but it was still somehow fun!
It is very good! The art is great. And it is really addictive. I've been playing for an hour and I can't stop! Congratulations on doing something so good!
Fantastic game. I love how it shifts from getting resources from matching in earlier rounds and getting resources during the actual battle due to lack of time, as well as planning out your map so that you hopefully avoid getting overrun with beetles. Very well done.

Incredible game! Very polished and well-thought. I only think it needs some tweaking in general timing (spawning enemis and recollection time) and improve a little bit movement of units (i tried to surround me with water but units could go inbetween. But the rest? Fantastic and very addictive!!! Congratulations.

I kind of like this, even though I don't think I stil really figured it out :D
Amazing game! Took me a couple tries to get the hang of it, but I was finally able to win a few battles before dying valiantly. Simple and unique concept that is quite addictive.
What a fascinating little genre mashup this is. There's alot of games that have you looking for matches among blocks, but this one had me considering different matches and looking in new ways. Well done!
This was a lot of fun! I played for about 6 or 7 rounds and still had no idea what was going on (apparently I didn't read the directions very well). But after I figured out the miners weren't axe warrior guys the game started to make more sense to me
Music and sounds were simple but worked well. Graphics were very fitting also. This was a great entry.
Where's the noodle eating poodle?
This game is very hard, but I managed to win 6 battles! Yay. Took me a while to understand the core mechanics and understanding how I can manipulate the map to make things better for me (tryied being super clever, but the beetles can go through diagonals, damn those beetles). Really liked the concept, it looks simple, but might be possible to get super deep =)
I wish I could always see the recruitment window, since I dont usually know how much the things costs so I can know what to focus my attention during the round (although I feel its usually water)
Awesome entry!

Awesome concept! Usually I'm not too into Match 3 games, but I love the strategy and resource management aspects. It really married 2 genres together in the best ways. I wish the second phase was a little longer because I liked that more than the match 3 phase of the game, but all in all, great job!

Mechanics of the game is nice and the idea is fun. This mechanics definitely has good potential and can be easily turned into a more fun game. The graphics of the game is simple and nice. The sound effect kinda gets annoying and repetitive but overall its a fun game.

I had a lot of fun with this game. Took me a few goes to get the hang of collecting the materials I needed and arranging the board how I wanted it but once I figured that out I had a great time. Such a great concept using the match 3 board as the map for the strategy component.
Great sound effects, graphics, solid work all over.
This is a very solid entry, I played at least ten times, and my record is 6! Very good twist on the match3 genre, the collecting resources and strategically eliminating enemy castles is great! Well done!
OK, my best is 13! Had to go back for some more :D

Definitely took a couple tries to get into the groove of it, but this was a fun and interesting mix of genres! Would've been nice if there was a way to repair your castle so that a bad round isn't as much of a run killer, but it was balanced well enough that this didn't feel like a huge issue while playing.
Utterly brilliant. Totally bizarre, but brilliant. My favorite LD45 out of ~20 played so far.
Clever theme, nice sound effects, smooth mechanics. When I play this game I felt like as if I was playing a board game and I loved that feel.

Very effective mashup between a match-tile and RTS.
Feels very nice the ability to literally move your castle 1-tile anywhere but at a price of its meter.
Suggestions: - Multiplayer? (2 to 4 players); (ability to build another castle for a significant amount of beetles + resources) - Option for additional color palettes - Expansion of different thematic kingdoms? (earth, martian, underworld) - At first I thought it was stars but then it were farmers. perhaps have them hold a Scythe? or pitchfork? it may feel more unified as its design. Could be interesting if the worker beetles could fight back.. - Beetle bottle Battle Battle Royale: 64-World-tiles(each world-tile = 7x7); 4 quadrants of 16-world tiles divided between 2-4 main factions + neutral NPC kingdoms to conquer (Have this for 4k Display or to have it local or online-multiplayer) - Introduce some "Legends" Units or Mythological Creatures or Special Tiles with its unique functions. - Harvested wheat units icon didn't seem clear to me IMO; I thought it was munition or cannon balls.. :smile_cat: - Selection of different battle-tunes and/or soundtrack
It's rare to say that this game is quite addicting! :comet:
Looking forward to seeing any further expansion on this entry! solid! :dizzy:

Really love the idea. I will be sure to get back to this game and try to improve my strategy and play some more, it seems like a game I would play after LD finishes.
