Incredible game for the jam. I've got to be honest, I struggled through there, it got really hard, but it was really fun the whole time. The platforming was really really fun!

I had a lot of fun with this one, great job!
Nice game, but very difficult
Neat platformer with a innovative idea, good work, hard but fun to play! Suggestion (maybe i just didn't find it, but:) some item to decrease your healthdrain/sec?
Really enjoyed this game :) Quite a difficult little game too which is exactly what i like to play. A game with a "simple" requirement and the controls were easy and intuitive.
-**What i liked:** The simplicity, the fun and the difficulty
-**What i liked less:** Perhaps the music/sounds, though this was a problem in our own game too, but i am being picky really.
Overall, great job on your entry, well done.
Cool fun little game! The sound when hitting an enemy hurt my ears abit though...
Good entry!
You managed to create an impressive amount of content for such a short time.
Your use of the jam's theme also works pretty well. I liked how, even though the game is so generous with healing items, each little mistake adds up to make you genuinely threatened by the end of an act (on a first run, at least). Great job.
Interesting game and defensively fitting the theme, but it is pretty hard by itself so the toxin wasn't as decisive
Hardcore parkour. Talk about your "I wanna be the guy" meets "Super Meat boy" lol. I thought dying was part of the strategy and kept jumping into the pits so that I could collect all the delicious substances until I perma-died. :P For me, having the Arrow keys in additions to WASD for movement would've helped a lot as I find it awkward to platform using WASD/SPACE. Naturally my hands want to move/jump using two different hands :D
Im glad you spent the time on level design, a lot of jam games miss that aspect completely and its really important in a game like this. Had fun playing it, great job.
As it's really challenging for me I didn't complete much of the acts. I'd like to rate for: graphic:very special style; level design: perfect for exploration; theme: more toxic gas would increase the loss of hp instead of decrease it immediately But I may rate innovation a bit low. Overall it's fun and hard.
Great job integrated the theme into a core game play feature! Level design was pretty solid. It might have been nice to have some cleansing powerups scattered around so you have more incentive to power through after touching some poison instead of restarting.
I didn't get too far, as it's actually pretty tough. The game is a lot better than it looks, as behind the simplistic art is a pretty challenging game. I liked the mechanic of making the poison drain your life faster. Nice work!
This is a very challenging platformer game, the theme is well integrated. I like how you don't die if you hit the toxic gas, but it gets worse. The level design seemed a bit too random, maybe it was meant to show a destroyed world, but it's hard to tell with only one kind of tile. Nice game, I enjoyed it :)
Not bad at all! I had fun. It's a shame that when you fall you have to start all over the game. I liked very much the start, the first two moving platforms are perfectly placed, it was the best part. I didn't like that much that after killing the first boss the radiation goes off, there wasn't that much tension to feel it was a relief. I also think that "Max health" shouldn't give you more health. Congratulations.
Well I think I got pretty far, but Act 3 Level 8 (I think) was where I gave up. I think you're supposed to jump behind the player's health bar? Anyways, I gotta say gameplay wise it's pretty tight, the movability of the player kept me going but most of it falls a bit flat due to a couple questionable game design issues, like not-so straightforward level design, blind leaps of faith and having to manouver behind the player's hud. The audio wasn't too great either, especially the cracking sounds when defeating an enemy. Sorry if my criticism sounds a bit too harsh, but I really enjoyed your game. Stumped I didn't get to beat the third boss :(
This was really good. I liked the mazy level design a lot. The art and music had a sort of "I Want to be the guy" feel which fit the game well. Despite this I felt the game was very balanced. The way your health goes down was pretty creative too. My only problem with it is that some parts had leap of faith jumps. Besides that it was really fun. Great job.
Thank you to everyone that took the time to comment and leave feedback. I hope you all enjoyed your experience with the game. I wrote a postmortem based on some of the feedback for anyone that is interested in reading it. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/toxic-towers/toxic-towers-postmortem
I enjoyed the style of this. Platforming was a little hard, but fun none the less :)
