There's a lot to like here. It could use some audio, obviously. Some background blocks to give a sense of movement when rocketing through the void would be nice. The controls are great and leaving your corpses as a way to self regulate difficulty is very cool. The game looks great too.
Wow awesome art style and feels super slick to play. Love the movement mechanic / tradeoffs between jumping and rocketing. Never really played anything like it. Nice job!
I love the style and the mechanics. The controls are a little hard to control but the level design in regards to the players leaning curve is well thought out.
The back bouncing (acceleration while rotating the wrong way) was a little annoying but I'm pretty sure that was due to my incapability to use the controller and not a game mistake. :)

I like being a pogo stick. The mechanics of jumping around and boosting are just plain fun. I could totally see this being expanded into a bigger game and buying it on steam!
There was an old game from the early 90s where you were a unicycle called Uniracers that while a completely different style. The concept of just being a fun toy or vehicle just always been cool to me.
It's a fun game, I'm interested in how you came to thinking of using a rocket-powered pogo stick as the main "character". I was hooked and engaged the whole time I was playing. Great job!
Woah, great stuff, the pogo stick mechanics are on point. Please extend this game into a full release!

Ship it! Creative gameplay and well tweaked and balanced. The last level (if it is) ramps up. I'm coming back to this one.

Probably one of the best platformers I've ever played lol. That last level is really hard, haven't beaten it yet. Still though, love the mechanics in play here. Great job on this entry

Great game! Looking forward to sequel
A perfect example of how simple mechanics and good level design can take you far!
I second the "background blocks to give a sense of movement when rocketing through the void would be nice" suggestion.
The last level is really hard, but not just hard, it sometimes feels unfair. Its longer than all the other levels, and loaded with leaps of faith into spikes and swarms of enemies. It's still beatable with patience and grind, but every bit of progress there seemed to bring me to another death trap.
Skipping audio may have been a good idea, especially if the wrong sound is used for each bounce. I'm curious what kind of direction you would take with the audio and music. (???)
I like the dialog on the walls. The ending was kind of, anti climactic, but I suppose that's an artistic choice lol
*spoilers* I was expecting to land and sink into a molten core, or blow up the planet lol
Still a great entry, great job!

Good job on the game. The movement of the pogo feels really satifitying once you gain some control and are able to rocket across the screen. The simple and clean art style also fit well with the game. I liked the running into enemies to kill them but often times it felt like you just had to trade health to get rid of them for future runs since they would often spawn bullets next to you when you collided. This is especially noticeable on the final level to the large spike in length and the amount of enemies present. Overall though, it was really fun to play. Well done
