The combination is quite fun. I really enjoyed the different kinds of cards that are available to buff your character and having to use them to reload and what not. The graphics are pretty nice, though the background gets pretty noisy pretty quickly. The music loop fits the game well and the sound effects are mostly satisfying. The spawning can be pretty harsh since you don't know where they're going to spawn and have no chance to move out of they're way so you can get pinned between enemies quite easily. Would love to see what kind of progress you could make given more time!

This was really fun! The beard is a nice touch :) Most of my plays I died on level 5.
I occasionally found it a bit hard to see what cards I had while things were a bit hectic, and the using the number keys to select a card while also moving around is a bit awkward, maybe coule select cards with the mousewheel + right click or something like that?

Well done! The graphics were quite nice and I felt like the background music fit in perfectly with the game. The background can get a little flooded, but I like it that way and it gives it that arcady feel.

Really good game. Nice pixelart, fun and challenging gameplay. I liked the cards a lot, they didn't even need to refresh after each round.
Nice top-down shooter. I have had lots of fun playing it!
I played a few times and it seam to me that there is not enough "reload" cards in your deck. So all the time i'm almost running around and avoiding things. Also the battle field gets pretty messy, so it is difficult sometimes to spot an enemy, especially the slimes.
Great sound track! Great pixel art and particles effects! Great and diverse card buffs! Great that you have managed making such fun game alone!

Very fun game! I do see a form of limitation, which happens because of the theme, looking at the cards and deciding was really difficult, because enemies blend in to the environment, so it was hard to see, when I can look at the cards and the best action was always just activating all of them at once, because while they had different effects. These effects were not that different gameplay wise, except for the unlimited ammo. I feel like the game would have been a hundred times more fun, without the sort of forced card mechanic, because the guns feel great, the enemies are nice, and having a boss was also great, even though I could barely see the thing, because of the screen was covered in the GUI.
I appreciate the big, relatively slow moving bullets, but would have like a more definitive idea of how big and where my hitbox is. The card idea was neat, but reading and interpreting the cards didn't feel great with the hectic combat going on. All that said, the style and feel of the game reminded me a lot of Vlambeer games, and feels great.
The themes worked really well together, I think! Though I was cursing RNGsus every time a reload didn't show up in a deck...

This game feels real good! It felt a bit too zoomed in though.
When I saw the title effect I knew I was up for something special WOW this game was good! I really loved it. I'll play this again after the jam. I'm looking forward to seeing how you update it. I would like in the update for the perspective to be pulled back further so I can see my surroundings better.
This game is awesome! I've played a few times now and it's one I'll be holding onto. I love the pixel graphics, the variety in weapons/cards/enemies, and the mayhem! Good use of camera shake and the audio is great as well. I agree with what other people have said about pulling the camera back a bit but you have something solid here to build on. Great job!
Great game, good use of the theme. I did find it really hard to process everything when you're trying to shoot enemies, avoid attacks, worry about mana, conserve ammo, read card descriptions and so on, but I enjoyed my time with it. Music was catchy, too.
Great job with the game, I had fun with it. The concept worked well and it was fun trying to manage both the card use and the bullet hell aspect of the game. It can be a bit difficult to tell what is happening at times due to all the remains that can end up on screen, especially when you also have to pay attention to what cards you have and if you have the mana to use them. One thing that I would recommend is putting the mana bar down by the cards so it is easier to focus on what cards you can currently use. Overall though I really enjoyed your entry.

Heads up, you should update your ludum dare page to mark which platforms your game works on – sadly I'm mac only over here so I can't play it :(

The big sprites, agressive screenshakes and frantic music makes playing this game an awesome experience. The card system is nice but made reloading a bit hard. Cool and fun game! Thanks for creating it!
