Type Fighter: Turbo by megamasterx 2018-04-27T12:56:59Z

Great idea for a theme, really well presented and the graphics are brilliant. But I think the execution felt a little flat and detached. I felt like I was just typing random words and the action on screen didn't reflect my progress. At times, I would mess up loads and my fighter would be hitting away, while other times I was on a roll, but my fighter only did the odd hit. If you had to type phases to do hits, with shorter/easier phrases equalling light punches and longer more difficult phrases landing critical hits, I think it would have felt more involved. On a side note, I really needed to know where I was in the current word, as occasionally I lost track at the end/beginning of a word and wasn't sure if I was on the space, or not.

Great game, good use of the theme. I did find it really hard to process everything when you're trying to shoot enemies, avoid attacks, worry about mana, conserve ammo, read card descriptions and so on, but I enjoyed my time with it. Music was catchy, too.

Hyper Simox 3000 by Paulo Brunassi 2018-04-25T12:26:54Z

I really liked the idea behind this and had a fair amount of fun playing the game. It took me a while to realise that it was the wreckage that was killing me, and not the shots and I was a bit lost as to how to progress for a while. It didn't click for me that I was actually play 'Simon says' for a while, so I thought the target ship was simply changing colour. However, once it clicked, I really enjoyed it and managed to get to level 4. I'd say the one thing that the game really needed was a moment when you die, before the game progresses to the next screen, to understand what killed you (e.g. your ship flashing with the bullet that killed you). Great game, great idea. I really loved the music too.

Great mix of ideas for the theme, and the music was great :)

Body Counter by Human Writes Code 2018-04-25T12:46:12Z

Really great idea and very unique. I generally really enjoyed my time with it, however I did find it got very random at times: One level I managed to beat by adding a few small numbers together, multiplying by the next random number I came across, then adding a few more to hit my target. Another time, on round 4 my target was 10, which was way too easy.

Modern Fairway 4: Spec-Ops in the Rough by Lost Dutchman Software 2018-04-27T12:37:20Z

Found the game a little dull as I spent the time just nudging a ball along through the desert, but the concept was really great. Ball needed a lot more friction though, as it spent the whole time rolling around.
