This is a really well designed puzzle game! The pieces are well explained by having the player progress through levels and see what each piece does. Using the batteries as conduits themselves as was required in a few levels was cool, as are the chips which function as switches once powered. :)

It took me a while to beat the level with the 3 different colored linked conduits, but I got it!

Sound is simple and appropriate. Graphics are also simple, appropriate, and rather nice looking. This is one of the best entries I've seen, and deserves a lot more attention. Great work!

Good puzzle game, a bit of a different take on the usual pipe puzzle game by draining power through the pipes to unlock different sections of the puzzle. Graphics made for a great aesthetic which paired with the music and simple gameplay made for a nice overall experience. Definitely a great entry.

My only gripes with the game was that the mechanic for connecting power to a red node caused an instant failure of the puzzle and the colored tiles all moving simultaneously weren't well conveyed (to me at least) and it took a few more puzzles than I believe was intended before I really grasped those concepts.

The instant failure probably could have been handled better by making it more obvious to the player (at least near the beginning of the game) that the level has reset back to its original state (perhaps having each tile rotate itself back to their default states).

The colored tiles all moving simultaneously issue I ran into was because of misreading the puzzle fail text (because it was showing up behind the puzzle for some reason) and thinking that the red power drain nodes also had the same logic applied to them for the red colored tiles. Perhaps this could have been better conveyed by avoiding the use of red for pipes.

Either way, small misunderstandings about the game's mechanics that were eventually properly understood to eventually complete this overall very nice game.

My favorite entry so far! Nice twist on the usual pipe dream puzzle game with a few fun new mechanics! I had a hard time figuring out the fail mechanic on the red cores (I didn't understand that connecting a red core to a microchip results in failure) but apart from that everything was easily understandable. The mechanics allowed for fun levels which created a lot of fun solving. Rounded out with the nice music and visuals make for a great game. Good job!

askbackwards768 2017-08-01 15:43

Very good entry, fun game play, well made puzzles, and a good retake of pipe puzzle game. My only recommendation would be to not make connecting to the red core instantly lose, but to wait for the battery to drain in it.

That was a fantastic game to play for my first one of LD39. Really well designed levels and mechanics. It looks like you've already gotten this but it isn't obvious at first that the coloured tiles move together. I though the level where you first introduce multiple cores might have fit better as the tutorial for the linked tiles. But overall a great game.

remzo 2017-08-01 16:00

Very nicely designed puzzles! It was easy learning the mechanics through the first few levels but at some point I feel they were out of order? I got the colored tiles in a complex puzzle before getting the "tutorial" one with the 2 green straight tiles that rotate together.

speedysloth99 2017-08-01 16:10

The gameplay is brilliant, and the graphics are great! Nice work!

kade 2017-08-01 16:20

It was an interesting take on the theme, although i didn't really get a "running out" of power vibe as much as just transferring, granted there were ways to lose power, but that would just make you restart.

I think if you added some sort of timer so that the longer it took for you to solve the puzzle, the less energy would make it to the end, and then give the player a little feedback on how they did like '3 stars' if you get most of the energy, '2' for medium, and '1' for low, and you fail the level if all the energy runs out before you finish. I just think that would fit the theme a lot better.

Besides that, the audio and visuals worked well together and added a nice puzzle feel to the game

miltonnh25 2017-08-01 16:24

Good job with the game. I enjoyed the puzzles, the levels were well made, and the graphics were sharp. One thing i would suggest is more of an indicator to which tiles you can not move; it took me a bit to realize they were not the colored ones they move together and instead there own thing. Overall, nicely done.

roka-josh 2017-08-01 16:32

The theme was pretty spot on, and the gameplay was gripping. The graphics were up to standards, however the music got annoyingly repetitive after a few levels. Overall though great job, and best of luck!

foxor 2017-08-01 19:21

Really great game jam game. My only problem is there is no graphical indication when a node requires 2 power, or only certain batteries can charge it.

gris 2017-08-02 06:27

Very nice puzzle game. I liked the music and the incremental difficulty. Congrats!

boxfort 2017-08-02 10:19

This is a great puzzle game. Pipe games are some of my favourite and i really enjoyed this one. The puzzles are all well designed and the music and art fit well. Good job!

wevel 2017-08-02 10:23

Is this a really well made game, I'm surprised at how many levels you managed to make in the time and they get increasingly more complicated. The musics is nice and creates a good atmosphere while playing. The graphics are simple, but work well. I also think that this is a really good take on the theme, well done.

myko 2017-08-02 10:27

This was great, clever mechanics and nice presentation!

ashment 2017-08-02 10:40

While I did not feel it fit the theme extremely well, but the game itsel is excellent. Even if the BGM really got on my nerve as I played through the game, I have to say the levels are well thought out and the game enjoyable. Very good job!

lockons 2017-08-02 10:44

Great job! Simple mechanics, but you pulled them off flawlessly! One of the levels actually gave me quite a hard time haha. Nice game

harusame 2017-08-02 11:02

Good job :) I enjoy mechanics, graphics and sound ! A strong and polish puzzle game.

toulou 2017-08-02 11:08

It's a really cool puzzle game ! I mean the concept is nothing new, but you introduced so much depth with new elements and really well designed levels. It's one of my favourite game so far. My only complain is the connection with the theme, which is kinda weak. It forced you to put a waiting part into the game (when the battery charge) which I feel is a bit useless. But aside from that, a really great game !

incobalt 2017-08-02 22:19

This is an extremely well-polished game for such a small amount of time. I'm impressed! Some of the levels seemed a bit out of order (one introduced linked paths after I was required to do a very complex linked path puzzle). Overall, a quite good game. I was very surprised how many levels there were, and they got a bit complex after a bit.

deathray 2017-08-03 01:39

The artwork - simple but effective artwork, nice colors - and the music - gentle but with a little tension - gave this a great mood. The gameplay was fun and the ramp-up in difficulty was perfect.

moonlightbomber 2017-08-03 07:41

Reminds me of that cold pipe game for Windows 3.1/95.

tifu 2017-08-03 10:19

Awesome puzzles, the scaling of difficulty and introducing new ideas in ways that they are easy to understand without explaining them with text is done really well. Great job! Would love to see this continued.

pavelsovushkin 2017-08-03 14:32

Nice Puzzle! Why sow dark ambient?

skosnowich 2017-08-03 21:11

Very simple, but very good gameplay here. I like the increasing complexity of the puzzles. The music is a little bit repetitive, but it doesn't get in the way too much, because it is rather subliminal. Good job, I had fun playing all the levels. :)

robotsandmuffins 2017-08-03 21:56

Nice puzzle game, although a little bit classic. I like the music, and the ambient. Puzzle and level were very good designed. Well done!

veak 2017-08-03 22:15

Too many levels, I can't finish yet :joy: Really nice work

jsmcag 2017-08-03 22:19

A nice take on the rotating pieces puzzle, with some unique mechanics that make it stand out, and are well developed in the levels presented. The game is never too hard, but does require some slowing down and thinking about how to proceed, given that jumping to conclusions might connect batteries to red cores accidentally and force you to restart the level.

A very solid entry, that does everything it set out to, and does it well. Great job!

kleinzach 2017-08-03 22:39

I really like a good puzzle game. My recommendation would be to add more complicated mechanics. The levels felt well designed and original. My main problem comes in that with the current set of mechanics I can't see any puzzle really being that hard. Basically what I'm saying is I want more! Great job!

Oh also, I would add a little indicator of the direction a block will spin just as a nice quality of life thing so you know if you are about to kill yourself by connecting to a red block.

wheffle 2017-08-03 22:46

Pretty fun puzzle game. Had me stumped a few times but was able to figure it out in not too much time, good sign of decent puzzle design. Good visuals and appropriate music, although it can get a bit repetitive. Impressed with the number of levels you were able to put into it. Nice work!

krunoslav 2017-08-03 22:55

Amazing puzzle game! I like the level design. Simple music but fits very good. Very well done how the new elements appear without explanation but you learn intuitively how they work! I am impressed, it seems a professional game, very polished. Congratulations!

In the 18th level the lights of microships light with just one pile but it needs two piles to win the level.

willdata 2017-08-03 23:27

I liked it! I would suggest maybe changing how level progression works and fine tuning the audio a bit more but I thought it was an enjoyable puzzle game

spetsdod 2017-08-03 23:28

This is very well done. Integrating the tutorial into game play was great. I just kept playing and didn't realize I wasn't being guided any more. The puzzles are fun and more challenging as the game progresses. I enjoyed this one quite a lot. The music was a little monotonous as time wen on, but having music is better than many. Thank you for the game.

maverick 2017-08-03 23:29

I love it! Guys the mechanics are super for the kind of puzzle that you make, I finish all levels and the progression of is so good made, I love when a game doesn't need a tutorial for play.

shito 2017-08-03 23:32

Simple mechanics, but very well designed levels with increasing difficulty. Sound and Graphics also fit quite well. Got a little bit stuck in the level where one needs to power sources to power one node, until I figured that out. Great work. :)

thygrrr 2017-08-04 00:04

Shenzen I/O and a push puzzle had a bastard child...

Likes: - great tutorial levels - stops talking only to let you make mistakes and learn the hard way at just the right moments - tricky puzzle mechanic - if you click first, think later, you're gonna have a bad time :) - crisp pixel graphics

Try differently: - I like the soundtrack, but it could use a bit more variety

Overall: - rather solid puzzle that you could see just as well on any of the app stores. :)

asixjin 2017-08-04 00:36

This is a great puzzle game! That mechanic made for some fun levels. I like the trick in the 'Easy?' level...almost fell for it.

jwin 2017-08-04 02:08

Quite a fun little puzzle game! You did a great job introducing the mechanics throughout the levels and ramping up the difficulty as things progressed.

The only thing that I got confused about was one of the levels required multiple batteries to power a colored core. I'm not sure if that was explained and I missed it, but it did hang me up for a minute.

joe-miller 2017-08-04 13:54

Very cool mechanics for a puzzle game, I enjoyed playing through the stages. It had a good difficulty curve as it introduced new concepts too. This is one of my favorite entries played so far, good job!

prettylucky 2017-08-04 15:12

This was fun! The music made me feel like I was doing some serious bomb-diffusing-level stuff xD

For the ones that share rotation, I guess it was fine to just learn it by doing that one time and dying lol, but maybe a little text on them like "pair A", "pair B", so it's more obvious at a glance that they're linked in some way. Otherwise, I thought you left things for us to intuit really well. Like RED CORES., soon as I saw that I was like "I'm not putting power to those!"

One small 'glitch'(if you will): I think 2 or 3 levels after you introduce 2 blue core levels, there's a level with the battery on the left, a set of straight green 'paired track' and the two cores on the right. The core on top had an immovable vertical track in front of it such that it's impossible to power both cores, but clicking on the bottom core advanced me anyway.

fmdkdd 2017-08-04 19:58

Yeah for puzzle games! I liked it. You kept the puzzles fresh by adding twist to the rules, and I'm sure you can stretch that further. With additional polish it could make a good game.

As @remzo stated, the level progression seems strange, as we got to play with pairs of colored tiles that are locked together before the "tutorial" level with 2 green tiles that serve to introduce this new twist.

I understand that the draining red cores may have been put there to better fit the theme, but I'm not entirely sold on them. I like that they make you think twice before rotating tiles around them, but I don't like that they make you restart the whole level. Maybe a middle ground would be better for larger levels. But then again, it's only a minor annoyance.

It seems that we can also get stuck on a level without any way to restart, or fail: I got stuck by powering a level core instead of a colored core, and had no more batteries to connect to. Reloading the page could be a solution if progress was saved, but it doesn't seem to be the case right now.

Still a very solid entry, congratulations on your work!

Nice little game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYbvh0qo8Vs
