LD38 — A Small World

Blomst 🌻 by Ava Skoog 2017-04-26T02:27:43Z

Cool game! I meant to make something similar to this for the jam, but I totally fumbled  I'm gonna keep working at mine though, I hope you do, too!

Had issues playing the WEB version on Windows 7. In Chrome nearly none of the textures or models loaded, but it everything seemed to work. In Firefox it wouldn't load the game at all.

Our little island by tinyworlds 2017-04-30T03:21:54Z

The sketches on photograph created a pleasant effect. The atmosphere from the ambient sounds tied it together.

TerraCottaFrog's experience was the opposite of mine, my session ended in about 2min and I only fed the brother once. I wanted more!

Maybe to keep things going, the brothers could build a raft instead of a hut, then travel downstream to a new place with different stuff to fish up!

LD39 — Running out of Power

Coffy by NickZangus 2017-08-02T03:10:08Z

I gotta say, this is a cool twist on match-3. These games aren't my thing, but there are definitely people that would really like this! Clean design and solid controls:)

[Web] Apocalyptic Gamer by Linver 2017-08-01T17:54:31Z

I got stumped on level 5, but that was awesome!:D

Switching the brightness to alter the game was cool and you pulled off that retro style. The commentary was funny. How many times did I have to lose before it says "Who made this game? I'm sweating my ass off!" Haha

Socketbound by Wekaj 2017-08-02T03:57:10Z

You got that GB feel down niicely:D

I couldn't get into the game though. Maybe if we moved faster, or there was more oomph in the slash. I couldn't pin it, but I felt like something was missing...Well, I'll let you know if I think of something!

(The rockets totally kicked my ass by the way xD I managed to find one of the hidden caches!)

Supernode by Dustyroom 2017-08-05T15:37:08Z

This game's got a professional polish on it! The sounds and music make a really zen mood until things get crazy. xD I had a good time with one exception which struck me as a glitch. (btw, I played the Jam version)

I'm not sure if I was playing wrong or something (I played 3 times). Every time I would run into a situation with an outlet getting juuust enough power to stay unfilled by a sliver and it was frustrating. In one case I tried cutting all other power (I thought maybe when a factory is putting out to more sources, it puts out less frequently?) and it still just kept hanging on by that thread. This was the only thing that put me off the game, otherwise I could've played this for a looong time:)

The Road To Power by tinykidtoo 2017-08-05T04:10:42Z

This was good for a little laugh:D I'd have liked it if my choices felt more important though. Gulag or not gulag, didn't feel very different. I only played once, so maybe they mattered more than I noticed, but I got hit with the food shortage after being railroaded into picking all the options one at a time (as the event 'came to my attention' again, which was a cool mechanic by the way).

Just curious, is there a way to stay in power?

Nuclear Arms 4: Fallout of The Mountain King by Logicon211 2017-08-03T04:16:03Z

Funny intro:) Except for the stairs, the game felt solid!

(Kinda random: the brown bears looked reeally nice)

FIZZLE by djfariel 2017-08-05T04:48:58Z

Everything looked great, particularly the gravity tool! I felt a too blind though, every time I hit a switch I just had to guess what changed and then run around til I found the door that opened. It was fun gravity-ing things, but then it got repetitive. Maybe diversifying the uses for the tool beyond just putting boxes on switches, maybe gravity bombs into the enemies or gravity a lightbulb into place so we can see.

Lightmare by maniac 2017-08-03T03:31:35Z

Spooky:) Your first creature freaked me out a little bit! The sounds really set the atmosphere, I just wish there was more to the gameplay. I would continue after my death if it brought me to the last door I entered instead of restarting the game.

Visioff by torcado 2017-08-05T14:44:51Z

The game looks sick! Looove the restart effect!:D The music volume going down with the brightness brings the whole VR mood together.

I saw your comment about adding indication of movement and for that I'd add a footstep sound that plays once every 'block' and only when you're actually moving (not into a wall, then the bump would happen), this way we could resort to counting our steps in the dark to invisibly map out getting somewhere.

And of course more level features will make a game like this better, so do bang at that!

Little glitches: 1. I zapped myself on the zapper at the top of that room to the right of the first elevator, and when I came back (I think I R-restarted out of it) the music didn't come back. 2. You can moonwalk to the left (but not to the right) by running left then (without releasing left) holding right....So you better get the moonwalk working in both directions!! xD

REAMS by CameronPenner 2017-08-05T15:05:08Z

Nice horror experience! The opening dialog sets the tone right off the bat, and the robots spooked me a couple times. I just wish the game was more fun for me. Great atmosphere, though!:)

Dryad by Zarkonnen 2017-08-02T03:35:15Z

Graphics have a nice style to them, sort of like a painting!

I think it would lend itself better to more easy-going gameplay. The combat was so-so, hitting the enemies was too hard and trading with them was always a terrible idea..so I just ending up jumping over everyone xD

Kings by nitzanel 2017-08-06T01:14:09Z

In 25 years I executed 3 generals who planned rebellions against me, lost 3 or 4 newborn sons and my Spy Master ran off somewhere between my random clicking in the last 5 years xD Yeah, I had fun with this even though I didn't really understand how my actions or choices were affecting anything.

Would be nice to get more feedback on what I'm doing and have a larger variety of events.

It was odd that the events shown at the start of a turn don't take place until the follow turn. I also had a minor glitch when I appointed a new general, I couldn't look at him (it kept showing my Coin Master) until I picked up the other councilmen and put them back down.

Running Out Of Tiles by BORB 2017-08-06T00:34:01Z

This is a neat concept! Like others, I disagree with your key-mapping, but that's an easy fix. Really I just wished there were more levels, a little more graphic polish, and constant music with a few sound effects. Otherwise this was cool:)

Drawing with Light by boundtotheearth 2017-08-01T15:09:04Z

Cool concept!

The light gun should draw over all objects. The controls and game were a lil glitchy, but at least it's playable.

It'd be cool if you did more with the light gun, like let it become a light rope when drawn in a specific place or use it to mark a complicated button sequence to open a door, with a like space-station-future kind of theme.

I Once Had Power by jackyjjc 2017-08-01T22:47:55Z

Another compliment on your interpretation of the theme! I had fun playing this:)

The story was cool but I would've switched up what he said each time so it felt like he's getting eeeven weaker. "I've lost some blank over the years" "And still my blank fades" "I had just enough blank to keep on fighting, nothing more." Otherwise no complaints, the combat was surprisingly fun for how simple it is!

(Oh yeah! Also, playing on Web, I died just as I completed a wave and the game soft-locked.)

Revolution by wicked7000 2017-08-02T23:44:15Z

I like the retro style of it and the brawler-rouge-like thing you've got going on! The combat definitely needs something, like the ability to block or do a special move. I'd also consider changing the controls to buttons or having the option, though I do appreciate you trying to innovate a little bit.

PowrConnectr by JOrbits 2017-08-04T15:12:43Z

This was fun! The music made me feel like I was doing some serious bomb-diffusing-level stuff xD

For the ones that share rotation, I guess it was fine to just learn it by doing that one time and dying lol, but maybe a little text on them like "pair A", "pair B", so it's more obvious at a glance that they're linked in some way. Otherwise, I thought you left things for us to intuit really well. Like RED CORES., soon as I saw that I was like "I'm not putting power to those!"

One small 'glitch'(if you will): I think 2 or 3 levels after you introduce 2 blue core levels, there's a level with the battery on the left, a set of straight green 'paired track' and the two cores on the right. The core on top had an immovable vertical track in front of it such that it's impossible to power both cores, but clicking on the bottom core advanced me anyway.

V-Empire by GabrielBucsan 2017-08-03T02:51:21Z

I really enjoyed the first kill because I felt like I had to stalk him, wait for him to come out of his house...and then pounce! But then I realize none of the villagers care lol. It would be a lot more fun if you had to sneak around a little bit to get your kills, and if the people showed basic intelligence (like running from a murder or the church-goers running toward it to find you).

Music was chill, graphics were tight:) I love the vampire king:D

Space Tanker by wasea 2017-08-01T18:46:33Z

Flying around was really fun! It reminded me of controlling the rockets in 'Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime.'

Um, I'm not sure if I just suck (lol), but I couldn't keep my planet alive for more than about 30 seconds T.T I'd fill up on the nearest satellite and then dump it on Earth, but it kept going down way faster than I could keep up with. Am I missing something?

Space Robot on a Space Ship by Apple Dash 2017-08-01T23:04:33Z

Steering was harder than killing the boss xD I just tumbled into a cave and then sprayed him and he died while he was off-screen. I didn't feel like my shields or "charge" were in jeopardy of depleting. Some boosters or additional feedback on the steering could help.

All and all, not bad. I'd like to see the general idea fleshed out more, more upgrades, more enemies, etc:)

Low-Speed Internet Space Robot Adventure by Toulou 2017-08-02T02:40:03Z

That graphic style is cool!

I just didn't like being impossibly far away from the energy crystals sometimes, and getting killed for opening the first door and first chest I encountered xD Kinda funny, but overall it didn't grab me because I didn't have control over the outcome.

The concept has potential, maybe make the game in the computer a little more interactive, like still text-based, but you collect a weapon and beat up monsters, then you can spring a mimic on us and give us a chance to fight it:)

BatteryPackMan by junjunlowpoly 2017-08-09T23:30:34Z

Niice art, simple and cute! I especially like the damaged cityscape. The game was fun for the first playthrough but then I got bored. I think I just didn't get the mechanic of leaving units off, maybe a brief tutorial telling which units are good for what could help. Varying the gameplay a bit or giving us a weak gun to assist with would have been nice too, and this way we can try to fight our way out at the end when all our robots blow up!>:D Overall solid entry though:)

BATTLE BOIS by Valmay 2017-08-05T03:51:11Z

The concept art (like on the title and tutorials) was really cute!:) In game graphics were also solid, I liked the feel of the environment and the creatures moving in it.

Unless I'm just not getting it, I think the gameplay needs improvement. I couldn't tell when my bois were going to die, so I just sort of sent them in there and prayed lol.

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-01T16:39:05Z

Thanks! But hey, lemme check this out...

So I just downloaded it again and it worked fine for me. What kind of computer are you using?

Do you mean the light on the title screen? Also, did it say why it crashed?

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-01T16:56:37Z

wasea, on which screen?

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-01T17:03:20Z

Thaaaank you @blobo (and everyone) I know what it is! Please hang tight! I'm going to fix this right now! :D

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-01T17:11:37Z

Okay! Uploaded a new one that should fix this crash! Let me know!

Thanks for giving it another shot!:D

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-01T17:27:01Z

@jake-cope Hey, thanks! Is that in my (so-called) "CRASH FIXED" version??

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-01T18:02:31Z

@krishnasism Thanks! I'm glad you loved it! Hahaha, maybe that's why it crashed! (lol I have no clue why). It's just the title and the long room, so if you got past the burning house, then you saw everything!

Yeah, I actually have a lot of ideas for this game. Going out to a park, a more diverse street segment, eventually up into the sky to take out The Big Light 0.0 I might keep it going, and if I do, there's definitely going to be music and soundeffects and all that!:D

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-01T18:05:58Z

@azargaz Thanks for playing! Ya know, it's like the town is running out of power because you're scribbling all the lights away (is it a stretch?? XD).

I talked with my brother about the aesthetics, he said I should have taken photos of the objects then run a filter on em, so it'd be a similar line-style, but like super-realistic contour drawings instead.

I ended up going with this because I like it more (and let's be real, I only had 3 days!);)

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-01T18:12:37Z

@richard-jedlicka Haha, yeah, a lesson to us all (mostly to me). I wasn't committed to a particular scoring system until the final stretch when it hit me...this isn't a "game" in some sense of the word ^^' I tried to splash one in, but you know how that goes, annnnd I ended up breaking it.

In a final version, the Light-Eater will show up (and kill you) if you miss a light as the screen scrolls.

Same page about the stylus! I just wanted to reach more people. Thanks for playing!

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-02T04:38:43Z

I thouuuught I solved this crash, but I obviously didn't test the game enough. So, after this much feedback, I tried extra-weird playstyles and eventually found this crash for myself! The last time I thought it was specific for the title screen.

This time I pin-pointed the actual problem and wrote a little line that shouuuld fix this (I hope for real this time!XD) I tried really hard to make this crash happen on the new version and couldn't get it.

Anyone who has played and happens to see this post, if you have a second ^^' I'd appreciate you trying to replicate your crash on the "NEW CRASH FIX" version.

Thanks everyone for your feedback! I got locked in my playstyle and overlooked a HUGE glitch, so thanks for helping me find it. I'm taking this lesson with me;)

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-02T04:39:41Z

@ledez Happy you liked you the game! I crawled through every bit of that code and I think I fixed that problem. Please let me know!

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-02T04:43:23Z

@battle-buddy Hey, I appreciate that, I'm proud of how it came out visually!

I'll tell my girlfriend you liked the pacing, she's the reason I slowed it down. Here I am scribbling like mad and waiting for it to progress, but in the time it took me to finish the house, she's still scribbling the second light xD I ended up taking a liking to the slowdown too.

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-02T22:08:46Z

@spice135 You discovered the game's underlying purpose!! lol xD

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-02T22:12:49Z

@fingamer Thanks! Next time I'll dedicate time to finding music, because you're right, the mood would be improved with sound. It might be longer one day..

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-02T22:16:22Z

@jackyjjc Innovation was my primary focus:) It's cool to hear this game was relaxing for some people and frantic for others. Scoring is missing because I didn't prioritize it early on ^^'

No bug, yes! Let's hope it sticks, I put good thought into that solution, so if it breaks, I'm not gonna know what to do haha

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-02T22:19:02Z

@ronan13 Haha, "cute" that's a new one, I suppose it is a little cute. Yeahhh, plot and music will come as I continue this project on the side.

The scribbling mechanics...A magician never reveals his tricks x)

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-02T22:21:23Z

@mariandev96 I will be working on it more over time! Thanks for playing:)

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-03T04:02:46Z

@dolash Yeahhh ^^' I didn't get around to adding the threat.. I'm adding the threat, music and more content for a final version I'll release at the end of the jam:)

I didn't prioritize sound since it's a jam and I'd end up just taking stock music from someplace, but you (and everyone else that's said it) are right, it really does need sound for the whole thing to come together.

Thanks for playing!

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-03T04:04:46Z

@iceking Hehe, thanks. I thought it would be a cool reversal and so far I haven't seen too many people do it like this!

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-03T04:05:56Z

@offz Hey, I really appreciate that! Audio is a must I am learning. Yeah, you'll see me in LD until they stop doing em!

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-04T15:17:30Z

@goldranger Haha, yeah I guess it sort of is a rubbing game, huh? The marker was a placeholder for a variant of the story that I didn't flesh out fully and I ended up leaving it because it fit in (graphically) with everything else. It's good you could enjoy it anyway!

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-04T15:19:53Z

@jelch Thanks! I'd like to see a little more "game" too! ...We'll see what I can do!

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-04T15:28:43Z

@korgo Hey, I light-ke that idea! (too far?? lol) It'll take a bit of doing, but I'll add that in! This way your groove will not be ruined next time!xP

I knew I took a chance with the way to start the game, but I think it's cool to discover it:)

Light-Eater by prettylucky 2017-08-09T23:12:14Z

@omriysh Not giving myself time to add sound was easily my biggest mistake of LD39. I'm working on adding elements of gameplay like urgency to extinguish the lights and a scroll that detects when you're done. If you get the chance to try to the new version (once I've posted it), then let me know what you think! Thanks for playing:)

@sondrian That was actually in my plan for gameplay until I ran out of time. I've already put that idea into the version I'm releasing after the voting is over! I don't know about inventing a new kind of game ^^' but thanks for saying so! (I do think it's an uncommon game)

@bveeramani You willll see more of this "Light-Eater" if you stumble upon my game in the future :D

@elizabeth-thomas Thanks! The constraints are what make the fun of Ludum Dare! I'm happy to hear I could make something cool in that time:)

@phlip45 Haha, actually considered splashing the jump-scare in there, but didn't want to put anything half-baked in during the final day xD

@kabalatrance I am steadily continuing development on this:) I'm going to release an update after voting is done, and a 'final' release some time after that. Mobile does seem like a natural fit for this game, I might go for it if I'm happy enough with my code!

@fran-segura Thanks for noticing! I put all my initial effort into choosing a different point of view for the theme:)

No Sorcerer's Sky by TheFlyingKeyboard 2017-08-01T15:37:26Z

Instructions would have been nice, but getting the hang of it after a few deaths was fun, too! I played the Web version and there weren't sound effects to let me know when I crafted things. And the first time that ship comes, I thought he was friendly, but then he wasn't lol.

Overall cool game, and the title theme was chill as heck:)

Last Shine by Fran Segura 2017-08-05T16:12:00Z

This was really cool!:D Great art, great music, great story. But fairly glitchy (I played Windows download)

The story was sweet, there was just enough and I loved the ending :') But after they laughed together, I just got a black screen with the music still playing and no options (pressed all da buttons).

Second playthrough, second half of the first screen, I got cornered by 3 enemies by the door and when they punched me out of bounds, I couldn't come back in bounds. I could still punch and have backpain lol, but yeah, it softlocked.

Second screen all four enemies overlapped into a super 8-armed foe that killed me 3 times in a few seconds. This was way harder than the boss (who was too easy, he threw mayybe one punch at me and the minions only made it halfway before I'd won).

Again, this game was really charming, I'd just polish up the code a bit and rebalance things! Good luck~

Mayor on a Roll by maniacanshul 2017-08-02T23:14:35Z

Running around this adorable town was a good bit of fun! Really liked the game music and the graphics:) Took me a few tries to understand how to play, but once I got it, I had fun with it..thanks!

Only complaint visually is the zoom-out of the town doesn't look good compared to the rest of the game, but the zoom-in effect looks great. Consider forcing that zoom-in as soon as the game starts since the player has already agreed to being ready when they hit play (or replay).

About the controls, I agree with what people have said, but I'd also add that I'd like to be able to restart the game with space.

Oh yeah, a glitch: You can run through the buildings straight to out of bounds if you're going a little faster than the starting speed. I managed it in the line of buildings behind the player at start, and the plaza a little farther down (with 2 or 3 apples).

MotherBoard by nikrt 2017-08-02T03:44:54Z

Being able to see through the screen was sweet!! I really liked that effect and the graphics in general.

One thing, on my second playthrough, I moved and jumped in slow-mo, and so did the enemies, but I could shoot at a regular rate. Not sure what was up with that, but maybe you do. Otherwise, the gaming was more-or-less smooth.

Say Hello by Pedrowzee 2017-08-05T23:56:57Z

The gameplay felt more like I was a waiter than a kid bringing things to his aunt and uncle, but this was a whole lot cuter. Wish there were more types of 'missions', but otherwise I had fun with this one!:) Cute music, great pixelated style. Keep it up!

Driving home by basweijenberg 2017-08-02T03:23:53Z

So muuch nostalgia! :'D This is awesome and I wish there was more. Not so much a game, per say, but I really liked it. How long has it been since I've imagined a skateboarder grinding on gutters and power lines out of the car window on a long trip? This was so cool..

As a bonus, the art and music were fantastic:D

Cards of Power by 5cents 2017-08-02T02:58:42Z

Some quick little TCG action;) I think you've got a decent base to work up from, but it's pretty easy to win without planning. Take inspiration from TCGs and work some of that into it. I like the simplicity, the fluctuating health bar, and the fast pacing; build around these!

I understand it's for the theme, but buildings fighting for energy is a little hard to get into x) Consider changing it when you develop the game further. Keep at it! I see potential!:D

CosmoCows by Gama Croma 2017-08-14T16:11:15Z

I chuckled! It's pretty basic, but it did what you wanted it to, I think. I would have made it endless instead of winning at 30 (no clue how @valphera got 100). The game goes by too fast because sometimes cows spawn right on you or on the sun. Keeping them off the sun should take a second (just make them randomly jump to a new spot when they collide with it). And a few simple animations would give more life to everything.

Last Showdown by ronan13 2017-08-02T22:46:56Z

I'm reeaally digging this music! I tried to fight myself, but I've got qwerty, so that went badly xD From what I could play, the movement felt good and so did the wall-jump and dash. Only thing I didn't like was how abruptly the warps warped you.

Visually it's cool but needs a little polish and I think the players should pop just a little more from the background. Seriously stick with whoever made this song! (If it's you..I will find you if I ever make one of the fighters I have planned in my notebook xD)

Light Box by Apace 2017-08-01T16:11:14Z

The game had the look and feel of a toy, which was nice!

I'd scale the difficulty differently, because it felt like I was getting freebies and then like total stumpers (alternating). I really liked Lights Out as a kid and this was a good take on it.

Delivery To The Underpass by Bocodillo 2017-08-05T04:30:56Z

These graphics were beautiful, loved the starry background and the scaffolding! The only exception was the main character, who didn't look like it fit in with everything else.

I wasn't grabbed by the gameplay, and the charging took away more than it added. Hang on to those assets though, they'll be great for a future project!

Stargust by eggnog 2017-08-03T04:31:51Z

The simple graphic design was cute and easy to understand:)

I'm not sure if I'm just bad, but I couldn't get rid of that missile. I opened a whole can of magnesis on that thing and I couldn't stop it!

It'd be nice to use one power without wasting the other, so I can prepare for threats. I kept getting pinched where I'd water the plants then the chomper shows up and it's impossible to get the gust and use it on him before he ruins my beautiful garden x)

Midnight Manor by GeraldFIngBurke 2017-08-03T03:52:23Z

I liked the look of the low ceilings and narrow hallways, it had a sort of claustrophobic effect for me!:) And it felt more serious as a result. Unfortunately, I couldn't get into the game because that darned generator timer. I never had enough time to explore. I understand wanting a rushed vibe since it's a critical situation I guess, but there's a way to strike a balance. I actually had the same problem with my entry!

We get so used to testing our own game that we forget how much longer it takes for someone to really drink the whole thing in: read the text, look at the environment, get curious about the things that we overlook (because we know they're just background tiles;D)

Decent entry though, I think with some minor tweaks you can make a nice experience.

Trouble in Paradise by mariandev96 2017-08-02T23:28:25Z

Not gonna lie, I found this game confusing, but it's a cool concept and I enjoyed playing.

It'd be nice if there were symbols on the stamina, hunger, and sickness that corresponded to the rooms that help those things, with meters (like in Sims) instead of numbers. It could also help to identify the people at a glance. I understand choices were made for the compo, just some stuff to consider if you haven't already:)

ikon by Gregor 2017-08-06T00:25:55Z

Your title screen looks badass!:) Took me a minute to figure out I had to turn on things as basic as the HUD and movement, could be cool if instead of those things you have powers that you have to choose from kind of like assigning perks in CoD Ghosts (where it's based on a point-system instead of just choosing one from each category). Things like combat skills.

The town looks spooky and really interesting (pink ooze pouring out of buildings and whatnot), but there was nothing to feed my interest. I ran all over the place randomly until I hit a loading zone that said "thanks for your cooperation" and I guess that was the end? There's potential, so keep at it!

Extincti by FooMar 2017-08-01T18:36:37Z

Haha, this was funny. Maybe have little people running around with their hands up screaming like "nooo I'm sorry I used a disposable cuuup!" that you can destroy>:)

(How'd you get everything to wrap the planet's curve so good like that?? I tried doing something like this for the last Jam and I couldn't get it to work!)

Toast Up! by gwinnell 2017-08-01T22:20:53Z

This was great! Super-cute toaster, super-cute..whatever those other things are! I like the muffled 'from-the-other-room' effect you put on the music, nice touch!

Only complaint was having to buy an upgrade to make the ceiling go away. I think you can limit the player just fine using the battery or make up a new enemy that takes two toasts to kill, but would die in one bagel (for example), then the player would need it, but it wouldn't be like lolyouhittheceiling.

Overall a fun little game!:D

Batt(l)ery by Richard Jedlicka 2017-08-01T15:49:49Z

Big Question: Why do we BOTH power down? It slows the pace of the game arbitrarily. Why don't we each just manage our own batteries and the player who manages theirs poorly gets punished? I'd also add a movement mechanic like a dash or a jump with cooldown or battery consequences. There's not enough I can get do to get advantage on the other player, so the battle will just drag.

The robots are freakin adorable though!:D And I like the style, it's really clean looking.

Battery Low by krishnasism 2017-08-01T19:01:04Z

This game looks so cool! I tried like heck, but I couldn't get it to calibrate on my Galaxy S5! >:( Loved the music!:D Wish I could play. Looks like fun to balance the battery and dodging the obstacles!

Step out of the light by Zdeno 2017-08-01T22:37:54Z

Some of the robot jokes were funny, but it got old for me pretty quickly (especially the repeats). Why not have him run into characters and use the jokes in conversations with lady-robots? x)

Try animating a few things next time, it can add a lot of life to a game! Scale the difficulty differently. It becomes random whether I'll be able to continue since (after a few seconds) I can't see anything or influence the game at all. Why not stretch the playtime a bit? or add more enemies over time?

Character was cute and a little odd, try something with him another time!:)

The Dictater by Don Fouts 2017-08-04T15:42:00Z

Great graphics, music is fitting, potatoes are always good for a laugh (xD). But I started clicking for about a minute, then took one look at how much MORE I'd have to click and was like "Nope." Clickers aren't my thing, but I think it would feel better to scale the action in some way, so it doesn't just become a click-fest, like let us take smaller territories and keep them without having to click to much and then move up to bigger territories once we've established enough 'power points', someting like that.

Also consider "...and trying to uproot your regime!" XP You're welcomeee

Pretty fun, but too easy!:) The main thing is that the power tiles give too much power, try cutting it to half of what is it currently and see how that plays. After a while I was just stacked with items and batteries, I played to 46,000 effortlessly. Adjusting the difficulty and adding different items and challenges will bring out this game's potential!

Buck and Flamy : An Unholy Row by Bragou 2017-08-06T00:03:18Z

Played this one with my girlfriend, we had a good time:D We felt like the levels were a little unbalanced, but it's hard to tell for sure without a lot of play-testing. A way around this could be making each game a 'match' where it's a best 2 out of 3 and the maps are varied in who has a slight advantage.

Really creative 2-player concept. Oh yeah, and the victory screen was great!:) Really nicely drawn and funny!

The Color of Days To Come. by TheOneThatNeverWas 2017-08-02T05:14:05Z

Luckily I had no troubles with the game! Except I didn't understand how to brush my teeth...it just sorta happened!x)

I feel like I understood the metaphors you were going for (mostly). I particularly liked the bit in space with the planets drifting by being potential mates and the asteroids being people that come into your life for a little while but ultimately drift away, with those asteroids lingering for a longer time as the character grows past his lonliness. It felt really empty and melancholic, but it was visually appealing and I could feel the subtle progress.

I didn't quite understand the game after that. What did giving the 'noisy' moon to the other planet mean? And what's the boot camp all about?

Watervapor by Fragfire 2017-08-03T00:34:01Z

The basic battle mechanic was cool! It felt good to throw them and have them come back, it would help if they were different colors though. I also think blocking should be more accessible, like maybe use middle-click or switch the controls to buttons.

Power Up by MMM 2017-08-05T15:13:56Z

*another comment about the awesome graphics (reason I clicked on this one) lol* *another comment about the depth being impossible to judge lol*

Just fix that depth thing and this'll a fun little game:) Maybe put like a wire-frame tube in the center of the thing we're rotating, and then objects on the far side will be drawn behind it and we'll have a better sense of what's going on with the depth.

burnout. : a runner game about depression and the others by Tuxic 2017-08-02T05:24:53Z

Nice take on the runner genre! I had a friend pitch an idea like this one to me before, but I like your interpretation better. I felt like the phrases were things the character might have actually experienced. I know you left the jump static on purpose, but I'd consider changing it to a standard jump (longer you hold it, higher you go).

Cool concept though, solid execution!
