This was a fun game. Good Job

galacticglum 2017-08-01 11:48

Really fun game and awesome music! Can you release that as a single OST?

wasea 2017-08-01 11:51

the graphics can be improved, but the game idea is awesome

davideperozzi 2017-08-01 11:55

Very nice idea! :) Easy to understand and challenging. Good job!

bewelge 2017-08-01 12:08

Loved the idea :D Could really make this into a full fledged game if you add some more elements

guillaumem 2017-08-01 12:58

Really cool game, Being in the other side is different and fresh. I like it, good job.

thecritterscove 2017-08-01 14:28

Pretty fun game, but the balance felt a little off. Maybe it's because the buildings were spawning on areas out of or almost out of view? The graphics are simple, but polished. The music is charming, but a little out of place considering the Earth is inevitably losing. The highest I got to was 1760 years. Neat overall concept, would be nice to see it more developed.

I like that it is possible to combine disasters. Theme and music are awesome. Keep going with this idea and release it somewhere! :)

zgragselus 2017-08-01 14:57

The idea is very good, even though that graphics doesn't fit together perfectly - it is very addictive and playable. Keep up the good work.

pavelsovushkin 2017-08-01 15:31

I make about planet too! Cheak it ^_^ https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/scale-of-life

xarras 2017-08-01 15:52

I played twice and didn't make it to 2000 years so I'm guessing real earth doesn't have long either... Using the meteorite was really satisfying hahaha

stubbyrogue46 2017-08-01 18:02

This was very pleasing.

prettylucky 2017-08-01 18:36

Haha, this was funny. Maybe have little people running around with their hands up screaming like "nooo I'm sorry I used a disposable cuuup!" that you can destroy>:)

(How'd you get everything to wrap the planet's curve so good like that?? I tried doing something like this for the last Jam and I couldn't get it to work!)

foomar 2017-08-01 20:56

@prettylucky Thanks for your feedback! I love the idea with the little people, maybe we'll add that in a future release.

About your question: We represented the position of all objects as an angle and offset relative to the earth's center to avoid errors with trigonometry.

Nice game. Easy to play.

pedrowzee 2017-08-02 19:26

I don't feel like the music fits the theme. Other than that, it's pretty cool. I like choosing the disasters with the right range to avoid the windmills.

alvar-gamez-zerban 2017-08-02 21:38

This game is fun! The graphics in general are great. I love the simple and funny animations for each catastrophy. Together with the sounds and music it is a funny replayable game. Good job!

The only problem I had was that my saved wind mills got so powerfull at the beginning that I didn't get any energy to destroy the buildings, until the newly spawned ones reach such a high level that it spiked out of control and I couldn't reach them on the other side of the globe. Survived 1930 years though. Oh and it needs hotkeys for the skills!

shito 2017-08-02 23:09

Simple but very addictive. I really like the idea. Had a lot of fun playing it. Great work. :)

goodzilla 2017-08-05 16:31

Right from the beginning, was great fun to play! I like the humor, and the funny music was well chosen, it is really adding to the game.

rikoclon 2017-08-06 19:02

Good Job! I really liked this one! great concept and mechanics. I liked the rotation of the level! I didn't quite understand if you could gain energy. also I felt like the theme was kinda loose here. But this was fun and addicting. I liked being on the side of the planet! meteor was a great idea, good sound effect for that! BG music was a little too clowny in my opinion, but did fit the humor element of killing off humans. definitely in my upper echelon of games I've rated this jam!! Really, stupendous!

Our protagonist is on the planets side too! Check it out! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/light-switch-crusader

graal 2017-08-08 19:38

Hey, that is really fun! Destroying everything with such major music and bright graphics - is a good contrast. Not sure is there a way to win - seems like we (Earth) can just survive as long as possible. Very memorable entry - not every day I can play for a planet! Good luck!

jotson 2017-08-10 14:44

Fun game and the music was a good fit. Dropping disasters was pretty satisfying.

daniel-kartafla 2017-08-10 21:56

Really solid entry! Wow. Felt already very polished. The graphics might could use some revisions, and the music was a bit too happy for the scenario in my opinion. But besides those things, a really fun game!

Also the theme was met more than once, so great job!

joebeard 2017-08-10 22:55

This was brilliant fun, definitely wins best humor so far! The music, especially, is an absolutely perfect fit. I didn't even notice that the game was counting up in years. 1840, not bad!

bombjack 2017-08-12 10:12

very original gameplay. quite fun. good entry.
