There's a good multiplayer fighter in there. Would need a little work in the main menu area, needed to load the game multiple times to read all of the text before loading into the game. And the controls for the other player not being WASD is tough to get used to but some fun to be had at this point still if you have someone to play with.

@durveg
Thanks for the feedback, it means a lot, we hadn't even imagined that this could be an issue (problem of knowing the game inside out). Yeah, we didn't have time to implement keymapping, it's a shame but thanks! We're still working on the game to make it better and implement the features we hadn't time to (probably going to for the next few days) so comment greatly appreciated :)
yaah, really interesting. Waiting for release version))

Simple bit interesting. I like it!
Great idea, the graphics are good, but the controller is not too convenient, it would be convenient to control the familiar WASD, but the game has a good potenial, good luck

Fun game and cool graphics. Keep the good work. Bug: During the gameplay shows me randomly (The collisions masks).p1.png

Thanks to everyone, really nice of you!
@alex-tantum Haha yeah, thing is we have azerty keyboards, sorry for the inconvenience, lacked time to make customised keys. There is a really easy fix for this: alt + shift in a text editor changes your keyboard lanquage :) It was also rather meant to be played with controllers.
@ledez Hey thanks for the comment! If you're talking of the weird pink neon things, they are...lasers! Yees! They suck! We didn't have time to implement the laser animations, so we had to keep the weirdly generated ones. The thing is that only the environment can kill you off, players can't finish you. So it was imperative to keep the traps. If it was something else, please expand on what you meant! :) And also: how did you take screenshots. We still haven't really figured out how to. Please, help us.

I really like the soundtrack and the ingame background! One thing I was curious about: Is there support for Wii-Remotes? :O

- music is pretty good - graphics are also ok - the controls are a bit weird, but i like the controller support - you really shouldn't use the paint magic wand...

@luckyy Thanks! It should, but to our utter despair....-Our programmer wanted to (big wii fan) BUT!! He made a mistake. You can play with a wiimote. Be prepared not to be able to jump. (He put dash functionality 2 times, instead of inputting jump.) If we make a final proper version, it will be corrected.
@b0bbe Thanks. For the magic wand...I am so ashamed. I kind of hoped no one would pay attention (who am I kidding? Well at least your comment made me laugh) We used a mix of traditional and computer media. We had made every calculation for it not to show...And we fucked up. Well, that's life. That's one thing that is top of the list in the 'make the game good' in the graphics part. :) Thanks for the input! edit: Oh and actually it's Krita's. It messed up and interacted weirdly with another functionality I used to paint the animations and background quick (hand painting 250 frames otherwise would have been pretty tough :) )

Multiplayers are always fun. Like the gameplay mechanics. I think it misses the theme a little bit. Nice try though
I'm reeaally digging this music! I tried to fight myself, but I've got qwerty, so that went badly xD From what I could play, the movement felt good and so did the wall-jump and dash. Only thing I didn't like was how abruptly the warps warped you.
Visually it's cool but needs a little polish and I think the players should pop just a little more from the background. Seriously stick with whoever made this song! (If it's you..I will find you if I ever make one of the fighters I have planned in my notebook xD)

Nice work - I can tell this game took a lot of effort. Building a fighting game on a 72-hour timespan is extremely difficult. Everything from animations to button combos is all very time-consuming and this is what makes fighting games one of the hardest genres to choose for a game jam. The wall hanging/grappling feature also looks like something that would be pretty hard to implement. Great music as well.
Stuff to improve: - It would probably be a good idea for you to upload a QWERTY version of the game. It would just be a matter of changing a couple characters in the source code and hitting the build button and it would let lots of people test your game better and more easily.
- Character-background distinction: this is an issue of color scheme and the size scaling of the overall game.
- Controls: even using the controls that weren't affected by the AZERTY thing was still a bit difficult. You may want to scale back the complexity of the controls to account for the fact that you have multiple players on one keyboard.
- Health and damage scaling: My character was doing very little damage to the enemies, seems like a little bit of number tweaking could improve the game a ton.
Overall, good job!

@prettylucky Fight yourself? xD Cool, I'm happy to hear that! It's not me, in the sense me that comments, I speak in the name of our team. Our musician is also the game designer and level designer. He likes experimenting, recently he's into video montage. He made the music with Circuits; consists of taking prerecorded sounds and remixing them. He also plays the piano and the synth. There's no way in hell I'm not sticking with him ;) If ever you want to hit him up, you can try to find him under the pseud Zskyzes. Or message us on here, and we'll find him for you :) I'd bet he'd be interested, he's always up for trying new stuff.
@gentel Thanks! We didn't think we'd do a fighting game, we only knew our programmer was up for some multiplayer...And then it got out of hand. Wall hanging is still not perfect though :( We've already come up with a keybinding program and a character selection menu, but keeping it for post ludum. We didn't want to upload anything of the kind given that it seemed outside the rules, but seeing that everyone is spitting in the face of rules we decided to upload a new version alongside the old ones with a qwerty and wiimote friendly one, but untested. Once again, we didn't really expect that people would play with the keyboard. We retested it after these comments and it's true, the characters don't pop out enough. We thought that camera scrolling would be too difficult so we figured we'd go for a towerfall system. Tougher than expected. I'm going to tweak the opacity of the smoke effects, I saved it with a too high opacity, my bad. There's also probably something to do with character and background contouring, but that becomes more tricky. I'm gonna take my time over the next few weeks to try and balance/polish. Also true for damage, we didn't really test the game fully, but the damage dealt is indeed ridiculous. We'll try to upscale it.
