Agreed, it is quite hard (I was the music guy, so I can feel your suffering xD) Thanks for playing!

Hard game, but I really liked the physics! A physics-based platformer is a really interesting idea, and I'd love to see it expanded upon, just maybe in a slightly easier way! Still, I can see how fun this would be if I started getting good at it. The artwork was really clean and polished, and I loved the cold colour scheme, it fit perfectly with the tone of the game. The music and sounds were also great, and I particularly liked the little notes whenever you hit your head on the ground, they made restarting a bit nicer. I love the idea here, so great work for implementing it!
Yup this game is hard but I really enjoyed it ! good adaptation of the theme and I like the art :)
I really loved the art and sound. :) especially the parralax background and the particle effects. I gave it my best shot but it was very hard! before you get the hat it is very difficult to move haha :p a very good all round package. well done!
Good concept, art and audio, but very hard and punishing, I would love a version with at least a checkpoint at the middle of the level.
Wow this game is tough! I can barely get over the first slope! Great graphics/art and sound effects though! Update: So I'm stupid and I just realized you can jump. That certainly helps a lot XD!
The game flashes out the theme pretty well, art and core mechanic is very nice too but the huge amount of work needed to move the snowman and the big level size makes the game kind of tiring and a bit frustrating (when you're halfway through but failed and went back to starting point ) after a while. The BGM choice could've been better as listening to upbeat music while playing slow-paced game makes me impatient
TL:DR in my opinion, adding checkpoints or make the level shorter coupled with calm rather than upbeat BGM would've improve the gameplay experience significantly because of the reasons above. Thanks for the game :D !
Audio and graphics look great! The stretch/squish of the snowman jumping once he gets his hat is a nice extra touch. Nails the theme, really nice work.
Great game! I totally exploited the facts that your head is not destroyed on branches haha, i think the music is a tad too fast paced for the mood to really work but i'm being picky! Great entry!
Couldn't get over the first slope easily, was a bit rough, but I really like the idea that the game is physics based, I love physics based games myself so this was fun to play, I like the fact that it was a small file size as well, good job getting this game in! Wish you luck on the positions!
Love the gameplay and how you interpret the theme! It's just a bit hard for me:sob:
Great concept! Lovely graphics and nice sounds. Nice way to use physics, if a little hard
Very tough, but very cool approach! I think the gameplay is very creative, and it's satisfying to complete the levels. Sometimes the ball did't jump when I pressed the key, but I couldn't find a reason for it.
Very good job overall! I enjoyed it.
Cool art
Hey, it's fun! I lost that head so many times. Wished for a double jump to fasten the process. Catchy synths, by the way). Thanks for the entry.
I did it! I walked through the game. Very interesting and challenging. It is a very potential gameplay. Adding some new additional feature may make it greater.
Thanks everyone for your kind words and feedback ^^ We are aware that the game is very challenging, so congrats to everyone who completed it and thank you all for playing! The music guy (me) is btw always happy if people like the sound of the game

Hard game to play but actually fun ! I was laughing while getting angry(not the bad meaning), because the hard-level is worth to challenge. And the music is simple but very dynamic and fit with the game operation. Very nice job you guys! Love it !
THE MUSIC <3. I majorly dig this game. Extra props for the "death" sound effect matching the music. This game is hard but in a good way. I'd love to see this expanded into multiple levels. I think you have something good here!
Congrats ! nice physics, nice art ! Really good ! I lose my head like at least one hundred times XD ! Well played !
Pretty challenging game. Some checkpoints would be great. Nice job!
Is a fun game, I like the main mechanic for it. The game is at it's best when trying to navigate actual obastacles. So the long stretches of nothing just made me impatient when retying. Very well done though good job.
Good job with the game. Its a pretty cool use of the theme. The art and the music were spot on. It was difficult but pretty fun once you got the hang of it. I thought the change in game-play each level when you collected your hat was pretty cool. It did feel a bit weird how much you bounced around on the tree branches compared to everything else. Also I am not sure if it was intentional but the game over screen only appears when you lose due to the fires and not when you drop your head on the ground. Overall, very well done.
Nice game with a lovely look and atmosphere. I was only able to move forward by playing volleyball with my head, but I'm neither skilled nor patient enough to get far into the game ^^ Nevertheless, a great fit for the theme!
Really fun and challenging platformer. The music was pretty good too, I think it should've played through each death, I'd usually finish a level just before the interesting bit starts
What first grabbed my attention were the graphics, it's pretty and polished! The second thing I found cool is the choice of sound when you die, it fits in the music which I'm sure was the intent. That's a nice and noticeable detail that does something for me. As for the game mechanics, the concept is good, I'm the type to enjoy this kind of die and retry games but I found it might be a tad too frustrating to start. I would personally prefer slightly more forgiving physics but it's subjective. A way to make it more encouraging without changing the current physics could also be to make distances to make it to the next part slightly shorter. Otherwise, finding a way to make the roll inertia a bit faster while keeping things playable would be ideal. For example, during my first playthroughs, it was not so much the difficulty of balancing the head on the body that was frustrating but the time it takes to reach the first tree. The normal platforming part is a nice break from the rolling part but could be slightly longer so I can get a bit of relief before attacking the more challenging parts. One detail that I found inconsistent is the snowy branches where the head can actually roll instead of breaking as I first expected. There is no visual cue that they're actually safe to drop the head on. Otherwise very cool game! Good job.
Coolgame ! I was happy to move forward a meter x)
nice one,liked it
Very fun game to master and very polished! Awesome job
Nice music, well drawn graphics, good gameplay and snowmans what more can you ask for in a games?
This game is really good. The music is nice, the character is nice, the idea itself is nice. This game is fun, but I have begun to see a theme in many Ludum Dare games so far. They are really tough to beat! Although I enjoy a challenge, I feel like there should be an easy mode.
Great art and music, have to agree with others that its pretty frustrating getting though most of the level just to get reset again. I got reset while standing a snowman width next to the firebarrel while my temperature was low, which added to the frustration. Overall a nice game, which might be a bit too tough/frustrating, so checkpoints would really help with the motivation to play through all the levels :)
Really solid work! Character concept, arts and game mechanic combines and supports each other. Everything seems weel-polished. Gameplay feels quite hardcore, but i was really happy to make it past 1st level :)
How I suffered to keep my doll's head alive jajaja! But I really liked the idea and how they applied the theme of the jam. Good job!
Really original idea and a super unique way to use the theme! Great entry!
Great game, with a nice aesthetic. The core gameplay was easy to understand. It would've been nice if their were checkpoints because dying was super punishing.
I like the way the levels are structured in two phases, it really keeps the gameplay fresh. The rolling parts could be made a bit shorter at least in the earlier levels as it's pretty difficult. Cute graphics and nice soundtrack!
WOW. one of the best games of this jam. I really liked the fact that you could roll the head on the snow covered branches. I wish you had used that mechanic in more places. genius! platforms on the last level were frustrating to get through but rewarding when I finally got to the big snowman. Great job. I'm super impressed.
Good Job, the music is very cool, i like the beat and the graphics .The game is a little hard to play but the theme and concept are good . Awesome game !
Hey interesting idea and the game looks nice. You made it feel kinda wholesome. Good job!
This was a really fun game, and once I got the hang of how to move and NOT immediately drop my head on the ground, it was a lot of fun. I also think the music fit really well how it kinda built on itself and seemed to get more "tense" as you progressed through the level. Honestly, the only real suggestions I have for improvement would be to have a couple parallax layers for the snow so some of it looks like it's farther off into the distance, maybe make the snowflakes rotate a bit as they fall down, and if you could make the shadow on the head move around like the light is coming from a specific part of the screen instead of spinning with the head. And these are all REALLY MINOR things in my opinion lol. Your entry has gotten one of the highest ratings I've given this whole jam. Great job!
Hahahaha the difficulty of the game is somewhat elevated, it took me some time to coordinate my reflexes. I loved the design of the environment and the graphics in general!!!
I somehow forgot you could jump after launching the game which makes the game infinitely more difficult ha. I didn't quite have the patience for this sort of game, but I think there's definitely an audience for this game!
Inital part is too frustrating, because I keep dying too much trying to understand how to overcome the first hill. Maybe you can progressively add obstacles or increase difficulty, while players test the basic movement mechanic.
Btw, the idea is super cool. I definitely will play it a finished and tested version of this game.
So I tried this yesterday and kept dying and couldn't make it past the second level. But I really wanted to finish this as I like the mechanic. I hopped on today a little more fresh and to my surprise I went through the first 2 levels without a single death. I think once you get the timing of this it sticks. I went on to finish it! Congrats Fenno, Benjamin, Minor Seven and Chillertyp on a good take on this theme.
In terms of what I would improve if you continue development on this, besides checkpoints as others have mentioned is that I'd make the jumps more consistent mainly. I found I could get a better jump if I made sure I was holding forward before I pressed jump. if I tried to jump and then move I would sometimes have a lower jump, and that was particularly punishing on the falling platforms. Also Jumps on the branches seem to vary not sure if there was a specific way I was meant to jump on them?
There were a lot of nice little touches on this, The main menu and death scene were quite nice and the music change was pretty good. Starting of the level with a nice pan of where to go was also pretty helpful. Stretch and squash animation was great, liked the blinking head and the pipe smoke snowflakes. Some cool ideas with the level design, hitting the head up the tree and dashing forward to catch it was cool.
Overall I had a good time playing, nice job!
OK this is a fantastic mechanic, but SOOOOOOOO punishing. I would love to have seen more of the levels, but I lost patience with it I'm afraid. It's a very cool idea, nice art and music. Congrats!
So far, thanks for all the nice comments. Glad you played the game and like it.
~ Greetings from the designer of this game. :snowflake:
Very interesting interpretation of the theme!
I like the visuals and the music fits them well. The game itself is haaaard. It took me a lot of time to get the hang of the head control. It would be very nice if there would be some checkpoints. The lack of those really discourages from trying again if you screw up somewhere far from the start.
I was quite dismayed to discover that the side of a box also counts as "ground", when I tried to use it to save my head from falling :grinning:
Nice work! Looks cool and quite finished, good job. And I like your snowflakes better than mine!
Лепили дети снеговика, да забыли про морковку. Вот и слетела голова с плеч!
Snowman Volleyball club! :P, juggling his own head without a care in the world :D. Nice work, very difficult learning curve! Though, it feels odd going super zoomy fast with the hat, then getting thrown back to careful slow juggling mode XD after obtaining the broom.
