Amazing game with a very good feel and a nice soundtrack.

traincraft 2017-08-01 02:48

The lightning staff is a little bit overpowered xD never fall under 70 HP xD I love the game. It really makes fun.

stefanrial 2017-08-01 02:50

Extremely fun game! Sadly a little bit too easy for my taste. Managed to complete the final wave on my first try. Also, its easy to click outside the game window :/ But besides that, a really good game! Keep it up!

Awesome music, though I had a glitch where the music kept going after I closed down. It's still going, might restart my computer. Cool enemy variety. Found the sword underpowered and the staff op. Overall really great!

megalink 2017-08-01 10:46

To go into Fullscreen press F.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

Good job with the game. It was fun to play, the hit sounds were satisfying and the music was rocking. I enjoyed the variety of weapons and found myself liking the crossbow the best. One thing I would suggest is making some of the UI, especially the weapon select, a bit smaller so it is easier to see what is going on.

davideperozzi 2017-08-02 20:55

Simple and good gameplay. Especially liking the the graphics and blood animations in this game. Best thing is when the beat drops and you go full rambo. Awesome game I really like it :)

The concept is old as the world, but it's an endless source of enjoyable games, and Inferno is no exception. It needs a native Linux build.

thatsnillet 2017-08-04 10:19

Wow, you've really made a good job here! The game feels, looks and sounds great. The only issues I'd like to point out is that once I didn't seem to heal even though the blood meter was in healing range, and the second thing is that the background shouldn't be white, since the white edges during the screenshake can be a bit annoying. (I think that is what causes the white edges, but I'm not sure.) But as i said these are small problems, and maybe you've even fixed them in the post-jam version. This is easily one of my favourite games of this jam, I really like a game that just feels good when you play it. Good work everyone!

red-fan-games 2017-08-05 01:41

REAAALY Visceral! The music matched the "run and gun" mood and the weapon selection was superb! I found the javelin to be the best for spamming!

cursetats 2017-08-05 05:41

This game is really amazing, Loved this game very much!

The graphics was sick! The sound effects and music was ok. But the game idea and the concept was was good! Keep up the job

runuchok 2017-08-05 08:27

Game do its job. I played jam version till credits and had fun!

nordtraveller 2017-08-05 08:29

Nice idea, one of the best concepts on that jam.

whatislove 2017-08-05 22:24

Pretty fun shooter, wouldnt say its very innovative but its surely very fun!

aidanmarkham 2017-08-06 00:45

Really great! I loved the gameplay and the audio. My main piece of feedback would be to make the enemies a little easier to see.

toadietechnika 2017-08-06 01:33

I've played the post jam build, and I've found out that the Lightning Staff over kills. Used it throughout the whole game (except the first play) and made it through the final wave and the boss. After the boss, nothing happens, no "You Win" screen or something rewarding. The game was totally intense, the music was a head bang, the gameplay was a blast and a lot of content in this game deserves plus points (well, mostly the graphics do). I also have a screenshot here, I don't know if some people also noticed this graphic on the upper left that covers some other graphics.

Its (d)Raining Blood! Great entry! I had a lot of fun with this. It was a fresh take on the arena style arcade. Rewarding the player with healing if they can keep killing enough enemies is good, but there aren't a whole lot of effective ways to achieve this in the later levels. Enemies just have too much health for a blood bath. I would suggest more enemies with less HP. Love that music too. It basically makes the game for me; Jackass did a good job!

ikiste3d 2017-08-06 02:52

Our game also used blood as the source of power and I was excited to play this. Didn't disappoint at all. I didn't think it was too easy, right amount of difficulty at each wave. I also loved the satanic rave vibes I was getting from the music. The only thing I would ask is for brighter enemy sprites so it's easier to spot them against the dark background (but if it was intentional I get it too). Very good job.

johnnydalvi 2017-08-06 03:21

Loved the gameplay and how fluid it is, Amazing! Really liked how it resembles Doom and how the control scheme works, it is very intuitive, congratulations for that. I only think that would be nice to have a clearer way to recharge the HP, it would add to the gameplay IMO.

mamoniem 2017-08-06 06:04

First impression from the menu was a "Top down doom", but later i found it is something else. I loved the art, music, projectiles, and screen shakes. Good job!

Fun and fast paced, though it crashed for me here http://i.imgur.com/i2pco4C.png. Still, fun stuff!

megalink 2017-08-06 07:16

@pixfixtv Thanks for the feedback! I'll see if I can fix it.

Just an amazing game right here. Lots of content for a Ludum Dare game and I replayed it many times which is a very good thing for a Ludum Dare game. The gameplay is very fun and addicting and the visual feedback combined with the killer soundtrack is just glorious. It is a near perfect game for Ludum Dare.

smbe19 2017-08-06 12:10

Amazing game! The soundtrack really helps set the mood. I liked the fast paced game play, it felt great. It was a bit confusing that the blood points were the same color as the bullets of the enemies, so it was difficult to distinguish them. Also, I don't see why anyone would use melee weapons when you have a crossbow that has no limit on ammo and you can just keep firing all the time...

pnghasemi 2017-08-06 12:44

Loved the music. It really matches the mood! That was awesome. Gonna play more. In addition: Make the enemy's health bar more vivid. It's hard to see low health enemies in higher waves.

mrboxbox 2017-08-06 17:13

Wow this is amazing! Awesome music and gameplay!

kabalatrance 2017-08-06 20:02

Loved whole theme and atmosphere. You managed to pack quite a lot of content into this game. As someone who spent quite a lot time playing Crimsoland I was delighted to see perk mechanics implemented. Congrats, and keep up a good work!

wheffle 2017-08-07 06:58

A very genuinely fun game! I like the concept of the blood bar. Nice assortment of weapons too, very nice for a jam. And a perk upgrade system! Lots of stuff, really above and beyond what I was expecting.

My main complaint was that the graphic of the blood powering you up was the same as enemy bullets, and there was a similar issue with the enemies-spawn-four-bullets-on-death perk. There was no way to easily know what was going to hurt you and what wasn't. Sometimes the blood particles entering my character really freaked me out because I thought I was getting bombarded by seeking bullets or something. I noticed it was also difficult to tell when I got hit, maybe some kind of flash and/or noise when you get hit would be helpful.

Really enjoyed it, keep up the good work!

iceking 2017-08-09 09:21

The game is fun to play and the soundtrack is gorgeous. However, the game has some moments that made my game experience less enjoyable. Ok, I know it's a game in inferno setting, but still why it so hard to see your enemies. Also, when blood points fly towards you, it does look like an enemy's projectile.

pavelsovushkin 2017-08-11 13:36

Good dynamics in the game

superpokeunicorn 2017-08-11 20:18

I really like this game! The gameplay is nonstop, action packed glory and the theming and mood reflect that. The screen shake really sells the impact of your shots and blood is very satisfying to collect. The music and audio also contribute greatly to the game's tone. Weapons all seem sufficiently differentiated and useful, and having an upgrade system along with a ramping difficulty gives the game a good sense of progression between waves. If I had to give one piece of criticism, it's that the dark visuals along with the near constant screen shake could make it difficult to differentiate different gameplay elements. Maybe making certain elements a bit brighter would have helped add some contrast. That aside, I still love the aesthetic and had a blast playing the game. Excellent work!

kuz 2017-08-21 12:22

You have very cool music!! ;)

jackass 2017-08-24 19:58

Thanks :))

Intense game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUoaduptLak
