Good fun little strategy. I love that you got checkpoints working, otherwise I would have been raging quite a bit!

I loved it! Being a slug was very perilous.

The music and sounds worked well together. The slug design and animation was great. The game play itself is very tight. I only wish I was better at the game so I wouldn't have to see him die so many times.

Nice game and some creative puzzle action!

Great little game! The core mechanics are very polished and fun, and I really liked the single-input movement system.

I made it to the end! Nice job on the game. It was a fun combination of puzzle and action. You managed to make a lot of "levels" in the limited time frame :)

Really cool! I've had that switching gravity mechanic in my mind for a long time, and here it makes for a really good puzzle game. Level design is also very well done.

That was fun! Got stuck in a later room where I couldnt figure out in which order to jump to reach the exit (and was therefore impaled a lot. ouch.) Nice low colour pixel art and fitting music, and the controls and mechanic work very well here. (And: Made with Godot, yeah! ) Great work, really.

A nice overall execution! I like the simple one button control, that would make it suitable even for mobile devices. It was a little tough to start the game on itch.io as browsers use space for scrolling down the page, but it worked in the end.

Absolutely great entry, really fun brain-teasing puzzles, intuitive mechanics, I don't have much to add. The only bug I noticed was the arrow sometimes appearing in the wrong place. (And is the arrow really necessary when it doesn't appear until you've already committed to the jump?) But the music is legendary, I want to buy the ost to this.

Nice little game! I made it to the end and i want to say that i liked the one button control and how new mechanics were presented. Well done!

I'm surprised this is a compo game with how much polish and thought you put into this. Out of the 40 or so compo games I've played so far, your music has been the best hands down. It has that nostalgic feel of an old SNES game but with a level of replayability that is fun to keep listening to. The puzzles proceedingly get slightly more difficult but the jump is never too big between stages. This game has the sort of polish like it was going to be released on Gameboy Color.

I usually like leaving my comments with a critique or two, but within 48 hours you've managed to make a fantastic compelling game centered around a simple mechanic. You should be proud!

I had a lot of fun with this one! Really clever and elegant use of a single mechanic.

Very well made, great art, simple mechanics with great level design !

Really neat brain teaser with very cute 1bit pixel art! Great music and checkpoints stopped this from becoming frustrating :D. Well polished and fun, great job.

I love the style of this and the mechanic and level design were top notch! Great work!

vimlark 2021-04-27 23:07

Love the style and the game play. The last room is pretty tricky. Also the music has big MegaMan vibes!

mkraw 2021-04-27 23:08

Hey it's your new friend from twitch lol, great game!

This concept would kill it as a mobile game. Super simple, intuitive and polish. What else can you even hope for out of a game jam? 10/10 would die to spikes again.

Ah this is a well made, focused plattformer with an unusual control scheme. Nice work.
