I liked the goal of both moving to grab energy and avoid projectiles. The graphics are nice an simple, but there needs to be more visual/audio indication for when my ship gets hit, or I have enough energy to fire, etc. Other than that though I enjoyed it.

Pretty good for a first game! It could use sound, and the pixel art is sized awkwardly. I don't see how this is related to the theme, though.

It doesn't seem like there's any reason to collect shots or reason to fire them once collected. Nothing happens when they hit the enemy ship? Nice start to a mini-bullet-hell game otherwise.

Congrats on your first Ludum Dare! Graphics were nice I liked the look of everything. Gameplay was challenging for me, couldn't live very long, and didn't have a good feel for the size of my hitbox (I guess it was a lot smaller than my ship), so wasn't quite sure if I was getting hit or not. Just a little sound would have helped a lot (with both that problem, and general feel). I'm not quite sure how many points I got, because the game immediately ended before I could look at my score - showing that on a "game over screen" would be great for letting me feel like I made some progress.

Great first entry! Holy shit, that's a hard shmup. Both watching vertical and horizontally moving things with so much going on is nearly impossible for me at least. Sound effects probably would have helped out a lot with the feel of the game to give some feedback to what's happening. This is a great first game though!

I would have loved if the difficulty scaled more! Starting off easier on you and getting harder! Other than that, great start!

That's so hard! I like the mechanic of collecting the bullets you use to shoot the enemy. Looks fine. I think the big problem is the lack of feedback, which makes it hard to follow. As you mentioned, SFX or VFX when I get hit, when I hit an enemy ship, when I pick up a collectible, etc, would go a very long way. Good work on a first LD entry!

Very hard game. I thought for a while that you had to beat the enemy somehow by shooting it with your hard-earned shots, but it is actually more like a survival situation looking at the game's description page. It would be very helpful to see your high-score after you died, as its kind of hectic to look at it during the gameplay. Runs pretty well though, no bugs as far as I can tell. (BTW, this does work in wine in Linux. I thought maybe there was a problem with wine as there was no sound, but judging from the fact that Audio is not a rating that can be given I don't think this game has audio. Ah well.) Pretty good!

Great job for making so much in so little time! The gameplay was typical bullethell fun, no compaining there.

The main lack of the game was in how it presented things to you; - the healthbar was very tiny and out of the way so it was hard to keep track of - I don't know if you indicated somehow when I can shoot (have charge), but I didn't notice it, so it was just an invisible timer for me, which sucks for planning your attacks - Kinda connected to the healthbar, but knowing when you're hit is super important, maybe even if it's just a screen flash or even a text appearing and telling you, just some way to know.

Though I understand that the things above would've been added if you had more time. All in all, great job for shipping something playable in just 6 hours :)

I know all about only having a few hours to make your game. There have been several LDs where I wasn't happy with the game I was working on and scrapped it to start another one. The last time this happened to me I had 8 hours to make a game. So I applaud you for submitting your game and I like the direction you were taking it. I hope you decide to work on it some more post compo.

Game is hard and great work for the amount of time you spent. Sound would really have made this game more fun. I thought it was good that you had to get your weapon charged before you could shoot.
