LD33 — You are the Monster

TheEater by haik0925 2015-08-28T02:31:00

Fun little concept, far too short but a nice execution. I did find a small bug. If you run to the left side and stand by the wall you will slowly rise to the top then you can run over the wall and fall off the world.

Raiders of the retirement home by jojocanard 2015-08-24T16:49:00

The only thing this is missing is the ability to lose. Great game otherwise.

The Congress of Monsterdom by Artylo 2015-08-24T17:13:00

Great Game, with a little more polish this would be a great mobile title. It needs some more difficulty progression. More variety of enemies and a higher difficulty later on would be great. I really enjoyed it.

Purge by Lukbebalduke 2015-08-30T02:01:00

Great game, fantastic graphics, good audio. The only things you are missing are a mini map, and decent pathfinding for the AI. Though if you haven't written an A* algorithm before trying to pull one off during the compo isn't feasible.

Great job.

Nice job, great music.

@FloatingGhost: Sorry I didn't get a chance to test it thoroughly on OSX and Linux. I'm actually still working on this, so I'll have to try and setup a test environment for OSX and Linux before the next release.

Monster Destroyer of Cities by Sedsibi 2015-08-28T02:53:00

@Zenmumbler: That was my original idea, I had a lizard that hatched and you would chase around people eat them grow and destroy the city, but I ran out of time getting the eating and growing mechanics to work well with a 3rd person camera. So in the last hour I ripped out the 3rd person stuff and dropped in the FPS destruction.

You are the Monster by Pixellation 2015-08-24T16:10:00

Not bad, the lack of any ability to exit the game once you finish was a bit annoying.

A Duel with the Devil by Resonious 2015-09-03T03:53:00

This was amazing. Great job. I loved the art style.

Bad Professor by Hambone 2015-08-30T01:42:00

I wanted to like it, but I don't know if you changed to game. All the other comments, as well as the screen shots show color coded hints, none of which existed when I tried playing. I was just guessing 99% of the time.

Dream by pixzleone 2015-08-24T16:57:00

Not bad, less of a game then an interactive narrative. I liked the art style quite a bit.

Monster Factory by tMalicet 2015-08-24T16:13:00

This looks like a great concept, but I couldn't get the player to run. The connection keeps timing out.

Tentacle Blockade by mahalis 2015-08-26T16:05:00

Very well executed, I enjoyed it quite a bit. A little more polish and you'll have a great Mobile game on your hands.

Space Invadees by lanestp 2015-08-24T16:36:00

Great game, fun and funny. The graphic style was really unique and fit the retro theme. Great story. The only down side was on the third wave (with the screen clearing bombs) after beating the two stations the level didn't end.

Invasion by Humbleness 2015-08-24T16:41:00

Downloaded and extracted the game, kept everything together as instructed. However the app crashes immediately. I'm not sure if it's my java install (which is only a few days old) or Windows 10. Other java games have worked. Sorry.

The Alchemist by sydan 2015-08-24T02:19:00

Great game, I only wish you had time for sound. I loved the artwork.

The Supper by jrhee 2015-09-04T20:41:00

That was fantastic! Polished, it felt very complete, and most of all I kept playing and was having a good time.

Monstre de Coiffure by Patacorow 2015-09-10T00:22:00

Fantastic game, great visual style with lots of humor. I enjoyed it. The only thing I was really bothered by, and it really detracted from the experience, was some significant input lag. If that was corrected this would have gotten 5 stars across the board.
