Can't seem to find the play link?

merrow 2018-04-23 18:39

Coming soon !!

Interesting idea, although a little confusing. Once you get over the learning curve its pretty fun. Also there was not a quit button that i could see.

oscartrevejo 2018-04-24 00:04

Hey nice game, just the sound i think too loud.

logflames 2018-04-24 18:40

Great job! The controlles in the spaceship feelt a little bit wierd, maybe a jetpack instead of superjump? It also took some time to understand it!

macdoom 2018-04-24 20:24

Confusing at first but once you get to know how to program the ship it's awesome! Reminds me a lot of references: Electrician for atari, commander keen, chess. Great idea! This could become something BIG!

merrow 2018-04-24 21:10

Thanks for the uplifting comment, MacDoom!

crispypear 2018-04-25 14:31

This is the best game I have seen here so far!

Only problem I have with it, is that enemies appear, and shoot twice in one turn, making it impossible to protect.

@CrispyPear Thanks alot! It is possible to connect the shield with multiple batteries, to compensate more the one hits.

I won't post a full review, but I tried playing this game, and failed. See https://youtu.be/U15_YlyCNqY?t=36s

Wonderful. This is a great game. Works well and it makes me want to play another round.

@Ben-Pearson : Hey Ben, thanks for featuring our game! Yes, it may take some time to figure out (and absolutely requires reading the help notes). Once you memorized where all the different devices are located, you can get really quick. You also found a bug: By pressing TAB in the "Game over" screen, you were thrown back into platforming with only 10sec left (instead of starting a new game with 60sec). So it wasn't all your fault to be game-over so many times.

merrow 2018-04-26 10:37

The bug mentioned above is fixed.

Really cool concept! It took me a while to get how it works, but then the idea is fun and reminds me a bit of FTL^^ The turn-based combat is a bit slow in my opinion. I find it cool that your lives are also your time limit inside your ship and that you can power systems with multiple batteries (which I didn't get at first). In my mind the arrows for the ship movement should point in the other direction, but I guess they show in which direction the engines blast. I got around stage 12 two times, and I am wondering if this is an endless game, or can you really escape if you would have survived more turns? And I found it a bit annoying to point with the mouse to plug cables, because you can only plug it in where the player stands anyway - so a key press would be better I suppose. Nice job :)

arche-san 2018-04-28 17:03

Spend a little time to learn mechanics but once understood it's a great entry! You learn to plug cables faster at each new run. Great job! :)

wizcas 2018-04-29 03:24

Took some time to understand the mechanics but this game is so innovative!

mektidas 2018-04-29 18:59

You lost me for a sec at first, but, wen you understand the game, its very good!

kernel-panic 2018-04-30 17:52

Took a while to figure out what was going on, but it's actually a very good game. And that music is so on point.

I seemed to get some rather odd frame drops once I started getting things wired up, but other than that, the game ran fine.

patvanmackelberg 2018-05-03 01:37

It took me a sec to figure it out but that was a really cool idea. Great use of the theme. Sounds were also good, music was very fitting!

gentel 2018-05-05 09:11

The music fits perfectly, and in general it's a very interesting genre mashup. I like how the enemies subtract time with their hits to make the two modes interactive. The graphics aren't ultra-fancy but they still do a great job setting the mood and making it immersive.

My one complaint is that the engine room can get a bit repetitive. I'm not sure what changes would be best for fixing that but I imagine there's a way to introduce more variation or challenge into it.
