Great work on this one. The watercolor art is great, but it was really hard for me to keep track of my cursor. It would also have been nice to have some invincibility frames or something, since one time I got cornered by a stack of enemies and died instantly, which made the later levels harder since I had less money for upgrades. Overall though I thought it was well done.
I managed to get through the second level by just clipping through the wall, but I imagine that wasn't the intended solution? The third level (with 2 targets) I couldn't seem to do anything. I noticed that depending on my rotation and distance it changed the song/color/volume, but that didn't seem to do anything besides change the rotation of the second level. I also tried with an xbox one controller and could only shoot straight up and down, so I had to use mouse and keyboard.
Really cool game. The platforming didn't feel very good but other than that it was well done.
@Jason-Kennedy I think if you increase the gravity to like 10x what it is now I think it would feel a lot more responsive. Its really only a problem when you have to jump up on the levels with stair steps. Still, great game though.
Interesting game, seems like you could make a cool punch out type game with it. I know you probably didn't have time for this, but it would have been nice if there were multiple rounds with the first round being slower so I could come to grips with the game, because it is really fast before you understand what is happening.
@ViridianGames @Derek Brouwer Yeah my original plan was a family friendly hack and slash, but I didn't really accomplish that. I was going for a Captain Eo (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONRTzWy26Ko&) thing, but I sort of fizzled out on a lot of the theming stuff early on.
